Mortals[edit]

  • Nicholas Samuel Scratch - A mortal with black hair and a red trenchcoat, who has a bad habit of waking up with blurry memories in rather nasty places (Darfur and LA, among others). Possessed by Lucifer/the (un)Conquered Sun. Used to be in a coma, until he woke up after seeing a great red light (about the time that the Underworld prison of the demons was breached). Dislikes fainting. Has a skill specialty in not being noticed. Currently being comforted by Cassidy (not like that).
  • Ling Ziyi - Ling Sui Mae's cousin, still a mortal, but considered a highly likely candidate for Terrestrial Exaltation at some point. Still being trained; under a great deal of protection. Seems friendly enough.
  • Saul - A mafiosi in Los Angeles. More than meets the eye -- he is possessed by Absolom, Halaku Fallen.
  • Cyrus and Alexander Prescott - Darius' do-gooder brothers, one a captain and one a military doctor.

Gabe's Special Kids[edit]

  • note - Status is currently unconfirmed, but it seems likely that they made it out alive. If only because Gabe in constant Compassion-fueled Limit Break would be bad.
  • Anna Waits - a girl whose mother committed suicide
  • Jerome Collins - almost a drop out
  • David Wallace - violent kid that fought with a teacher
  • Mimi Nguyen - was abused by her father
  • Mark Alonso - Gabe saved him from some strange monster

The Dead of Las Vegas[edit]

  • Anthony "Sticky Fingers" Figarelli - Darius' first and foremost contact within the mob, a made man who got him into the life. He owns the Lucky Stars Casino and Hotel along with his friend and partner, John Palmer. Apparently he's quite afraid of vampires.
  • Detective Rod "Radagas" Brown - a coked up crooked cop Darius knows that owes him a few favors.
  • Domenic "The Undertaker" Bernardo - a capo of the Las Vegas mafia who is friends with Palmer and an employer of Prescott's. Well known operator of a well-to-do and prestigious Italian funeral home.
  • Mary-Ann Ritter - Another singer at the Lucky Star, the main attraction until Cassidy showed up. Currently chilling out in Troile's tower. Undead status suspected but not yet confirmed. Doesn't much matter anyway, since she was shredded by Robert before getting caught in a sunlight & fire bomb. Or NOT. See the Vampires section.
  • Susan Oda - Cassidy's room-mate, a very quiet Japanese university student who adores Cassidy's voice.
  • Nancy Borland - a History teacher who admires Gabe's conviction.
  • Isaac Maynard - a social worker who works with many troubled inner-city kids and has taken a liking to Gabe's dedication to the children.
  • Caesar Escobar - Assistant District Attorney for the State of Nevada and an old school friend of Gabe's.
  • Mr. Klaus Frugen - Principal at Gabriel's high-school and a real hard-ass about the budget.
  • Detective Jackson - a detective on the LVPD Organized Crime squad. Assigned to investigate John Palmer, the two have a civil (though highly antagonistic) relationship. Recently received a detailed dossier on Mike Viampi's (newly-acquired) gang.
  • And EVERYONE ELSE IN THE CITY - Since those that didn't get infected by zombie plague got wiped out by the Technocracy's Essense/Spirit Nuke.

Johnny's Dead[edit]

Those who died in the carnage that was the ultimate end of Johnny Wu's life as a mortal.

  • Al Johnson - Johnny's roommate and best friend. An all American law student and closet Buffyphile. It was him that introduced Johnny to American culture.
  • Sarah James - Al's girlfriend and an Economics major. A bright cheerful young woman who loved music and dance.
  • Dennis Miller - One of Al's classmates and friends. A bright young Afican-American student with a future in civil rights law.
  • Sedika Davis - Dennis' fiancee. A pleasent young African-American woman, in pre-med. Someone who wished to heal the wounds of the world.
  • Michelle Yuan - A Chinese-American Economics student. Johnny had a deeply secret crush on her. She was best friends with Sally and Sedika. (See Vampire section for recent developments concerning Michelle.)

Vampires[edit]

  • Rosa - A vampire of Clan Brujah that was at Brown's chapel guarding Troile's food. Troile's "granddaughter". She made a deal with John Palmer for her freedom and is now under Oath to answer any of the Ellipse's questions. She may currently be insane, what with Troile's death affecting all of Clan Brujah.
  • The Dark One - A vampire king who attacked the Red Mountain Sept and robbed them of the moonsilver artifacts meant for Robert Grimm and his allies. He looks Aztec, wears no clothing but orichalcum jewelry and, according to the elders, commands terrible powers. Rumors place him in Los Angeles, but nothing has been heard from the werewolves there.
  • Ambrigino Giovanni - A vampire of Clan Giovanni. Swore to aid the Ellipse however he could, answer all questions put to him truthfully, and to never harm John Palmer, his allies, and any under their protection. In his defense, there was an Antediluvian on the loose at the time.
  • Vincent Lombiardi - A Vegas mob boss and vampire, likely of Clan Ventrue. Swore the same oath as Ambrogino.
  • Dale Grimsby - Las Vegas' #1 Traceur and the founder of the 3rd Annual TraceFest. He was longtime internet friends with Liz before they actually met in LV recently at the Con. Apparently turned by Troile to mess with Liz's head. Tried turning Liz, and lost. Is now a 4th-6th Generation Brujah, and is staked in the basement of the Lucky Dragon hotel after attacking several Kuei-Jin; it seems as though Troile's last command still lingers. Liz is displeased by this.

Met Final Death[edit]

  • Boss Ferroviccio - Las Vegas mob boss and vampire of Clan Ventrue. Recently deceased after picking a fight with a pack of Garou.
  • Christof Romuald - A vampire working for Sins of the Father/Troile. Has a really big sword. Recently met Final Death after a Presence-addled Sui Mae stumbled across him fleeing from Liz.
  • Hamilcar - A vampire working for Sins of the Father/Troile. Very charismatic. Very, very strong. Currently reevaluating his situation after a stern talking-to by Cassidy. Currently a pile of dust after Troile got a bit peckish.
  • Smilin' Jack - A vampire working for Sins of the Father/Troile. Currently staked by Johnny & Qin. Met Final Death in the annihilation of Vegas.
  • Michelle Yuan - A Chinese-American Economics student. Johnny had a deeply secret crush on her. She was best friends with Sally and Sedika. Troile being a bitch and all, Michelle is currently a vampire (almost certainly of clan Brujah), facing off with Johnny in Las Vegas. And apparently, she's the one who was tipping off the Clan as to Johnny's whereabouts. Ain't love grand? Currently a pile of ashes thanks to Johnny's chakram-slinging skills.
  • Mary-Ann Ritter - Another singer at the Lucky Star, the main attraction until Cassidy showed up. Survived Rob eviscerating her. Currently Hulked out on Lunar blood and was beating the crap out of Nick Scratch before someone/thing (possibly Troile herself, or maybe Nimrod) sucker-punched her. Is about to be caught in a huge explosion and subjected to triple-power sunlight in the hopes that she'll freaking die already. Is assumed to be dead, after the Ellipse made it through to Troile's chamber, and especially after the Technocracy nuked Vegas.
  • Nimrod - An 8-foot tall Brujah Methuselah, Troile's childe. Spent most of his time digging out an appropriately spooky underground chamber for his sire. He & Darius killed each other in a simultaneous strike.
  • Troile - An Antediluvian, founder of Clan Brujah. Extremely powerful. Capable of utterly controlling Terrestrial and Lunar Exalted. Formerly better known as The Princess Magnificent with Lips of Coral and Robes of Black Feathers, AKA The Black Heron. Commanded Sins of the Father before he took a swan dive into the Void. Currently working on turning Las Vegas into her own personal paradise/imperial capital/buffet. Seems to be a bit confused about who she is (understandably so, though). Yeah, that's RIGHT. The Ellipse took down an Antediluvian. May have a way back from Final Death, though. The Ellipse, when they learn about this, will probably be less than pleased. Still, she's dead for now.

Kuei-Jin[edit]

  • Qin - One of Sui Mae's assistants. A Shining Ice Guardian, follower of the Dharmic Way of the Resplendent Crane.
  • Keiko - Sui Mae's other assistant. Seems to have a bit more of a sense of humor. The Path she follows is unknown (maybe Thrashing Dragon?)
  • the Amethyst Blossom - Ling Ziyi's bodyguard. Old friend of Qin's. Pissed at Mikaboshi over the Yama King's murdering his mentor, Five Jade Eyes. Follows the Way of the Resplendent Crane.
  • Dr. Soon - An old Korean man. The Court's expert on Western vampires. Path unknown (Probably Bone Shadow). Currently studying Dale. (Almost certainly not based on this Dr. Sun, but wouldn't it be funny if he were?)
  • Wu Ping - Johnny's cousin, a dhampyr (so he sort of fits in this category). Very stressed. Suspiciously friendly.

Garou[edit]

  • Xander "Fuzzy" Shadoweyes - a Garou warrior who works as a guard at the Lucky Stars and knows Cassidy's secret. Is currently in LA, doing his best to stave off Harano.
  • Night Whisper - An Uktena Theurge werewolf, whatever that means. Is very old, a Native American, and has an uncountable bevy of trinkets and charms dangling from his neck, hunching him over.
  • Sings-The-Wyrm's-Defeat - A Get of Fenris Galliard werewolf, whatever that means. Is battle-scarred and ancient looking but could still wrassle you to the ground if he got you in the sights of his one good eye. Tells stories so well that people can see images of what he describes.
  • Whitetooth - A Silver Fang. Doesn't much care for Rob (though he may have gotten over it somewhat). Outranked by Xander.
    • Stormthorn - Whitetooth's associate.
  • Night Fire - An Uktena alpha; currently helping the Ellipse scout Troile's tower. Might be Night Whisper? The name & description seem close enough. Probably dead by now.

Mages[edit]

  • As Luck Would Have It Chantry - The Traditions' main Chantry for Los Angeles. Dedicated to the cosmic principles of Luck. Members include:
    • Omegas - A mage of the Order of Hermes that Darius and Gabriel met at the school defusing bombs. He is young for his profession and has a strong British accent. Currently down a hand. Prophesied to "help bring glory and light into this world of darkness." Skilled in the magicks of Forces, Prime, and Spirit. Speaks (relatively) fluent Enochian; caretaker of the Traditions' copy of the White Treatise (until he turned it over to Gabe and Johnny). Currently in the Lucky Dragon hotel, discussing demonlogy with John Palmer.
    • Peer - A mage of the Virtual Adepts that Darius and Gabriel met at the school defusing bombs. She's young, attractive, and apparently some sort of hacker revolutionary. Her computer was tricked out beyond belief. Adept with Correspondence and Time. Is in the hotel with Omegas.
  • Deiva - aka Tiffany Madden. A Verbena witch. Self-described New Ager. Skilled in Life, Forces, and Prime magicks. Good with crystals. Darius' "special friend". Made it aboard the escaping plane after all.
  • Darkshadow - A Hollow One mage. Stereotypical Goth guy. Specializes in Entropy and Mind magicks.
  • Cadaverine - A Hollow One mage. Stereotypical Goth girl. Girlfriend of Darkshadow. Injured after the events of the night, is now infected with the zombie plague, but not yet a zombie first victim of the zombie plague to be cured (thanks to Gabe). Specializes in Matter and Prime magicks, as well as conjuring.
  • Agent Callahan - A low-ranking mage of the Technocracy who made the mistake of underestimating Gabe. Likely dead, after being aboard the Technocratic Construct during its destruction.
  • Overseer Fitz - A higher-ranking Technocratic mage. Determined to not repeat Agent Callahan's mistakes. Likely suffered the same fate, though.
  • The Overseer of California - Another Technocrat. Just activated the ominous-sounding "Project Alchemical".

Spirits/Gods/Demons[edit]

Spirits[edit]

  • The Ringbearer - an ancient spirit and the totem of the Red Mountain Sept. Apparently, Cassidy in a previous life tasked her to guard the Red Mountain demesne as well as a ring of Moonsilver marking her devotion to Robert Grimm's previous incarnation. The ring was recently switched for an Orichalcum one, which the Ringbearer sees as a great failure.
  • Zefrel - City Father of Las Vegas. Currently a bit stressed out, due to Troile's appearance, the Gauntlet being rent open, a plague of zombies wandering the city streets, and then the nukes being dropped. You don't even want to know how he's doing right about now.
  • Jack - A relatively potent fear-spirit. Serves Rex Mundi/the Wyrm/Malfeas. Spurned an offer of friendship from the Ellipse. Unintentionally let slip that the Ellipse have (or had) a Divine Mandate and official powers of some sort. Would (apparently) like to take vengeance on the Ellipse, but has been slapped down by an Incarna. Probably erased from existence by the Essence nuke, but there's always a chance....
  • Michael - the Archangel. Seriously. Sent by Helios to meet with and observe Gabe and the other Solars. Has a beef with Anthelios.

Gods[edit]

  • Malevolent Fate (AKA Mal) - Pluto, God of Malevolent Fate, and one of the Messengers. Also the dealer at the Lucky Stars that warned Johnny and Robert about all the crazy stuff that was about to go down. Disappeared soon after, then reappeared outside the Gates of Heaven as Darius' Celestial defense attorney. Is on his own side, which happens to be the Ellipse's, for now. Likes popping up to deliver ominous foreshadowings, then disappearing. Kind of a dick. Likes popcorn. According to Absolom, is an angel and really dislikes the Exalted for their ability to defy fate (i.e., him). "Most gods throw dice, but Fate plays chess, and you don't find out til too late that he's been playing with two queens all along."
  • Dumb Luck and Blind Justice - Malevolent Fate's siblings and fellow Messengers.
  • The Scarlet Queen and Ebon Dragon - Messengers, an old married couple, and absolutely not a couple of refugees of a previous Age.
  • Anthelios, the Red Star (also called 'Mourning Star', 'Morning Star', or the 'Shattered Sun') - A man, who is also a star. The baleful Red Star some of the Garou call the 'Eye of the Wyrm', which appeared 8 years ago. According to the Garou elders, he visited the sept two months before the game began and warned them of the 'Dark One'. He broke the Ringbearer's heart by convincing her to switch the rings. Also possesses an average man with black hair and a red trenchcoat named Nicholas Samuel Scratch. A very loudly angry entity, when something sets him off. Given his ranting about becoming the Sun one more, may well also be...
    • Sol Invictus - the Unconquered Sun, patron of the Solar Exalted. Has a habit of apparently speaking through Cassidy at times. Was banished or imprisoned at the end of the Second(?) Age, and His Chosen were (according to Malevolent Fate) "cast out, scattered, destroyed, driven mad, all manner of terrible things". Either recently escaped His imprisonment, or was released for unknown reasons (depending on whom one asks); current whereabouts are unconfirmed. Also currently goes by Lucifer.
  • Luna - Goddess of the Moon and Chaos, patron of the Garou and Fera. Robert Grimm is acknowledged as Her only known Chosen.
  • Helios/Katanka-Sonnak - God of the Sun in the modern Age, Sol Invictus/Anthelios' replacement. Lucifer claims to be his father. Is, apparently, a douche. Nothing else is currently known of him -- especially what he will think of the recently-appeared Chosen of the Sun...

Demons[edit]

  • Rex Mundi - aka the Wyrm, aka Malfeas (according to Pluto, anyway). The Demon Emperor and current King of Heaven. Not a very nice customer at all. Sits on the Throne of Heaven, pierced by a holy weapon that deprives him of his body. Usually appears with glowing green eyes. Claims to have recently released Sol Invictus from His bonds.
  • Lytek - A Demon. Mentioned by Malevolent Fate as a possible ally of the Ellipse. According to Hermetic records, "Called the Right Hand of Power, the Keeper of the Divine Apparatus of Periapt Surgery, an Archduke of Hell, personal overseer for the honor guard of Lucifer -- 700 mortals gifted with the power of God stolen by the Devil himself." Is apparently possessing a mortal carpenter named Joshua Timbrook.
  • Lucifer - First among the Fallen, the Lightbringer. Now one of the personalities/facets of Sol Invictus/Anthelios/?, and possessing Nicholas Scratch. Seems kind of emo (though understandably so).
  • Mikaboshi - A Yama King. Very Bad News, according to Sui Mae -- but is also polite, for a demon lord. Likes tea.
  • Absolom - One of the Fallen. A Halaku/Slayer, fallen angel of death. Associated with Lady Kishar's Court in LA, opposed to the Blood Court & Raveners. Mistook John for a devil. Currently possessing the body of the mobster Saul.

Other Exalted[edit]

  • Sins of The Fathers Revisited Upon The Sons (aka the former Reverend Todd Brown) - A vengeful and petty preacher with a hate-on for Cassidy after she embarassed him in public and stole away some of his flock. Also happens to be Detective Brown's brother. Also happens to be a bomb-happy, zombifying Abyssal Daybreak. Is in a great deal of trouble after swearing Eclipse Oaths to both wreak vengeance upon the Ellipse and to permanently forswear all vengeance against them. Last seen catatonic in the Umbra, and weaponless (after John and Liz finished with him).
  • Hate - Abyssal (probably a Dusk Caste) serving as Rex Mundi's personal heavy. Not the brightest bulb in the box, but rather dangerous, and very nasty. Certainly not the oWoD's most infamous twink. ~_^

Lunar Mates[edit]

According to the ST, there may well be the following Lunars in the world, each bonded to a Solar:

  • One will be a wolf. And he will tear the Wyrm apart.
  • One will be a coyote. And he shall defeat the Weaver with laughter.
  • One will be a cat. And she will find the secrets hidden in the Wyld.
  • One will be a snake. And she will poison the Dark Regent of Creation.
  • One will be a bear. And she will heal the Gaia when the battle ends.

Obviously, the wolf would be Rob and the cat would be Xiu Lin, but the others have yet to appear....
