Lob: A cherub made out of shifting bright light appeared next to Nomoe Hideaki's head. "THIS IS BRAZEN. CAN YOU MEET ME ON MOUNT MERU? IT'S IMPORTANT."

Nomoe_Hideaki: A few minutes later a similar construct appears next to Brazen, reciting. "Lord Nomoe answering Brazen Sand: How important is this exactly? When and where do you desire a meeting?"

Lob: "VERY VERY IMPORTANT. AS SOON AS POSSIBLE."

Lob: "IN A MONTH."

Nomoe_Hideaki: "Lord Nomoe answering Brazen Sand: That is doable. Would you specify the location? Mount Meru is rather large."

Lob: "IT'S KIND OF DIFFICULT TO MISS ME. LOOK FOR THE GIANT BEHEMOTH THING THAT'S ON FIRE."

Nomoe_Hideaki: "Lord Nomoe answering Brazen Sand: I suppose I will have my people bring the telescopes along."

Lob: In a Month! *Batman transition*

Lob: Brazen sat on a huge outcropping high up on the peak of Mount Meru, looking out over a great deal of the vastness of the Blessed Isle, looking uncharacteristically thoughtful.

Lob: His anima flared, creating a massive multi-coloured light easily visible for miles.

Nomoe_Hideaki: A rather big airship bearing the Mon of House Nomoe circles in the sky at a respectable distance, but Nomoe Hideaki arrives alone in a flicker of superlative movement.

Lob: Brazen bowed in greeting the way he'd seen Nomoe do it before. "Nomoe-San."

Nomoe_Hideaki: inclines his head in polite greeting. "Lord Brazen Sand, it is good to see you. How is life as simple citizen treating you?"

Lob: "uhhhh...alright." brazen replied. He's obviously distracted and worried abotu something to someone as socially perceptive as Nomoe.

Lob: "Look, Nomoe-San...um, you ever had to deal with children before? You're a pretty good-looking guy...you know, looking human and everything."

Nomoe_Hideaki: nods. "I'm happy to hear that. Deliberator Wandering is well, I hope?"

Lob: Brazen exhaled slowly. "Oh yes, you could say she's positively *glowing*" He said.

Nomoe_Hideaki: "Very good. Please convey my greetings to her when you next see her, will you?"

Lob: "Yeah, sure..." Brazen said, then looked out at the view

Lob: "We've been through a lot of crazy shit together, haven't we, Nomoe-San?"

Nomoe_Hideaki: "Children?" Nomoe tilts his head slightly. "I have on occasion taught, but only to advanced students."

Lob: "Right...um, do you have any spaces open?" Brazen said, rather sheepishly

Nomoe_Hideaki: "For the younger children there are tutors of course."

Lob: Brazen sighed and brought out a cigar and tossed one to Nomoe.

Lob: "Light up. I'm a daddy." he said, deciding to just jump in and get it over with.

Nomoe_Hideaki: accepts with a small bow.

Lob: Brazen snapped his fingers and his own cigar lit up with green fire. He offered a finger snap to the Solar.

Nomoe_Hideaki: "Ah, I see. My congratulations, Brazen Sand!"

Nomoe_Hideaki: "I am caught unprepared and without a proper gift, sadly ..."

Lob: Brazen shook his head. "You know, I'm pretty sure abotu a year ago, you would've called the child an abomination and suggest that it be killed."

Lob: "So this is pretty much enough, right now."

Nomoe_Hideaki: accepts the fire as well. "Thank you."

Nomoe_Hideaki: After a moment's consideration Nomoe chooses not to comment on suggestions of infanticide. "Nonsense. But I suppose I'll take this to mean you won't be offended if it is a little late."

Lob: "Nomoe, I called you here for something important. The kid...well, it's a girl, and I've been worried about what'll happen to her. I can't really provide much of a...a childhood for her, you know?"

Nomoe_Hideaki: "Ah, a girl. Does she have a name yet?"

Lob: "I don't think so, no."

Nomoe_Hideaki: looks serious. "If it brought you here, 5000 miles or more away from ... your family, it must be very important indeed."

Lob: "We have a tradition in Gem. People don't always live very long there, especially the men. You know, mining accidents, war and stuff. So you designate someone else who will take over if the child's father dies.

Lob: "Nomoe-San...will you be that person for my daughter?" Brazen asked solemnly.

Lob: With great gravity

Nomoe_Hideaki: "You mean like a godfather?" Nomoe folds his hands in a complicated way, his expression unreadable.

Lob: "Is that what you call it?"

Nomoe_Hideaki: "One of several possible titels."

Lob: Brazen shrugged, looked at the ground. "Then...yeah, I guess it is."

Nomoe_Hideaki: A long moment passes. Then Nomoe bows deeply. "I would be honored, Brazen Sand."

Lob: Brazen smiled back and returned the bow, then moved forward to put him in a manly embrace...and then stopped before he entered his personal space, leaving the offer open.

Lob: He raised his eyeridges and smirked

Nomoe_Hideaki: Without missing a beat Nomoe returns the embrace. "Congratulations again, Brazen Sand. And the same to Wandering, of course."

Lob: Brazen laughed. "Thanks...friend."

Lob: after releasing him

Nomoe_Hideaki: shakes his head slightly, smiling. "No need to thank me, Brazen-san."

Lob: "I'm sorry, but I have another request for you, Nomoe-San. When my child is old enough...could she be taught in Sanken? I think that would be a much better place for her then travelling around and facing danger with us."

Lob: "Wanderer agrees."

Lob: Brazen stopped for a moment...then added. "Actually, it was her idea." He mumbled

Nomoe_Hideaki: "'Hideaki-san' should be fine," Nomoe mentions as an aside. "Certainly, that would not be a problem at all." He smiles. "'Till then my efforts to further improve Sanken's level of education and training will hopefully be bearing fruit."

Lob: Brazen smirked again, but nodded appreciatively at the change in address. "I'm very appreciative of this, Hideaki-San. I know that...well, we've come a long way."

Nomoe_Hideaki: "It has been a number of eventful months," Nomoe agrees.

Lob: "Yeah."

Lob: Then he added. "You know, we really need a better way to stay in touch with each other. That spell almost sapped all my motes."

Nomoe_Hideaki: Looking into the distance high over the rest of Creation Nomoe takes another draw from his cigar. "This is good," he comments idly.

Lob: "Yeah, well, I grabbed some in An-Teng." He said, not adding that he had literally grabbed them absent-mindedly.

Lob: "I'll be away for a few months, by the way. You know, doing teh whole new Primordial Titan thing."

Nomoe_Hideaki: "Oh. Nothing dangerous to the integrity of Creation, I hope?"

Lob: "Nah, you know, I go into this coccoon thing, and then I come out not having to listen to Malfeas in my brain."

Lob: "Which is nice."

Nomoe_Hideaki: nods, his private thoughts well concealed. "Yes, indeed."
