10 STEP PLAN TO SAVE THE WORLD!![edit]

RESCUE THE PIRATE PRINCE[edit]

Work to "save" the Norfall House of the Corbron Isles by helping the Pirate Prince be freed from a coven of Succubi that have control of the isles. Once rescued, ask him to rally the Pirate Princes into a fleet.

RALLY THE RADIERS[edit]

With the Pirate Prince's aid, try to contact and to organize with Roland's Raiders (of the Redgard House) to see that Norfall House is helping and rally Roland to gather their guerilla forces with the Snow Elves that they have contact with.

ALLIANCE OF MEN AND ELVES[edit]

Try to unite an alliance between the resistance villages in the Gammarilian Delta and the Elves of the Erethor, to take out the elf plague carriers. NOTES: the Witch Council just set loose to go into the north to infect orcs, unfortunately it's a desperate plan that will likely commit genocide and come back on the elves.... The Witch Queen finally decided to use these plagued elves to do this because the Whisperer is failing her people. These plague ridden elves have a horrible disease that kills any of "fey" blood in weeks. A group of these plagued villagers now ride north (around the burning line) toward the uppermost Norther Marches, to infect the Orcs, being replaced by their guard warriors (the Arrows - an elite delta force of elves led by Ossion of the Hamlet) who ride with them as they die themselves from the plague.

IF/Once these forces are rallied...[edit]

SEIGE FALLPORT[edit]

By sending in the Pirate Prince ships "fleet" from the south, while at the same time having Roland's Raiders and Elves come in on Fallport from the North by land. The hope is to take Fallport and command full control of the Pellurian Sea for the moment. NOTES: "Fallport was once the capital city of House Norfall. When the city fell, its princes took to the Pelluria with what remained of the Norfall navy and continue to resist the Shadow on the open sea. Built in a deep cove set in the midst of high sea cliffs on the northern shore of the Sea of Pelluria. The cove makes a good harbor, and the natural lay of the land made the unique construction of Fallport possible. Fallport is now abandoned by its original inhabitants, but its many underground dwellings were quick to attract an orc population. Now, the city is the southernmost settlement of orc noncombatants in the Northlands. There are perhaps 10,000 members of the Gray Mother tribe living in Norfall, and the city’s shipyard and docks have become important elements in the orc war effort. Human slaves live packed into the waterfront warehouses and are forced to work as fishermen, ship builders, and dock workers by whip-wielding goblin overseers."

OCCUPY FALLPORT[edit]

while there for the several days it would take any Shadow armies to come in to retake it - they blowup Fallport's mirror. Making a plan to rig a hole in the Shadow Temple so the sun will hit the mirror at high noon... While their army (the Raiders and the Pirates) retreat into the sea. Hopefully taking out some Shadow armies when the mirror explodes.

SEIGE STEEL HILL[edit]

Make landfall soon after with Roland's Raiders and the Snow Elves marching on Steel Hill. Trying to seige Steel Hill. Because Steel Hill is at "the heart of the Enemy's army, a dark forge where slaves and sorcerers labor day and night to equip the orcish hordes with weapons, armor, and equipment."

BLOCKADE BADEN'S BLUFF[edit]

While the land army marches on Steel Hill, the Pirate Prince navy sails to put a blockade on Baden's Bluff (to cut troop movement)

RAID THE ARTERIES[edit]

With this happening the PCs rush to the Arteries (Ardherin's laboratories) to try and rescue Whisper Adepts that are being corrupted to corrupt the Whisper which is failing Aradil and quickly becoming the biggest problem of the elves ever...

DESTROY FALLPORT[edit]

The destruction of Fallport slows/stops the flow of Armor/Weapons and supply lines from Steel Hill to the Gammarillian Front. With the Blockade on Baden's Bluff would stop Shadow troop movement.

NUTRALIZE THE WRATH[edit]

The Enemy's BIG-GUN is Zardrix. But Adam and Andrew seem to recall that *something* has held her off at bay before. If you can figure out what THAT is they can use it to protect those seiges/forces from the Wrath of Shadow's dragon fury.

QUESTIONS to Consider[edit]

  • What would the Shadow do?
  • What would the various Night Kings be told to do?
  • What armies would rush to retake these places?
  • Which Orc Generals would be told to go do this? Grial? One of his Commanders? Jahzir himself?
  • What would the other Night Kings be doing?
  • Are there other major supply lines to consider?
  • Is Fallport, Steal Hill and Baden's Bluff as important as my PCs are thinking?
  • How much resistance would their be at Fallport? At Steel Hill?
  • Would Baden's Bluff work with the Pirate Prince's blockade?
  • What other Shadow forces?
  • What other Shadow cities would be involved with these actions?

Continued Pathwalker Plans[edit]

Steps in the steps to save the world, to assure alliances[edit]

  • find Tomas Baden (rally Baden, send Belal out for spell: Phantom Steed and any others on list) [1-3 days]
  • take the Paths of Dal Colia to the Cobron Isles (to stop and rest before heading north) [1 day]
  • take the Paths again to find Ossion up near Gasterfang (stop the Arrows and stop the Plague) [7+ days]
  • back to the Cobron Isles to find the Pirate Prince - Norfall (liberate them from the Succubus control and rally the Pirates) [7 days]
  • back north to find Roland Redgard (rally the Raiders) [7+ days]
  • back south to the Cobron Isles (bringing these representatives to the Isles) [20+ days]
Wait out winter? [several months]
  • begin the plans at Cobron Isles (set to sea with the Pirates)
  • the Witch Queen begins her plan to overthrow Sharuun as a distraction for Shadow forces (to aid the following to happen)
  • sail on Fallport (with the Pirate fleet and Roland's Raiders riding in from the north)
  • destroy Fallport's mirror (having waited for relief troops to come in to destroy some of Steel Hill's army)
  • have Roland's men and Snow Elves march on Steel Hill, while a small team finds the Arteries (to stop the corruption of the Whisper)
  • the Pirate fleet blockades Baden's Bluff with the aid internally of Tomas' resistance (to stop Shadow reinforcement for the spring/summer across the Pelluria)

When Leaving First-Hold[edit]

  • Dealing with the Cadaverous Eye
  • Spell: “Binding” (it might still exude its artifact taint and it’s a mind effecting spell) [Zal’Kazzir]
  • Leave it in a Necromantic Conflux [Kyuad]
  • Take it with on the ‘Paths’
  • Leave the ‘Eye in First-Hold to hold off Zardrix [Durgaz]
  • Create a Fell execution point outside the realm of the ‘Eye [Zal’Kazzir]
  • Leave a watch, have “zombie drills”
  • Inform the “Council of Captains” (through the High Captain) of the real danger of the ‘Eye
  • Possibility: make the ‘Eye a “mobile fortress” with the Black Masks and/or human refugee captains
  • Bury the ‘Eye: under First-Hold, possibly creating a fake mirror over it with permanent illusions of a Black Mirrior and the legates sacrificing illusionary people to it…
  • The burial of Varzon (the young dragon) beneath First-Hold was spun to cover that it was actually a slain “wyvern” (like Zaindal of the Bluff) and burying it under First-Hold is “good luck” for the fledgling town - over “Wyvern Hill” manned by the “Wyvern Guard”. (on this acid spring)
  • Take the ‘Eye to the ShadowWall, where Shadow cannot go [Durgaz]
  • What to do with the orc of the Black Mask…?

First-Hold’s Men: “the Council of Captains”[edit]

  • Captain Wilhelm (W4/F1) The High Captain. Getting married to his caretaker nurse.
  • Captain Wilis (F6) The younger brother of Tarmigan. Getting married to his long-time love.
  • Captain Tarmigan (F5/R3) The elder brother of Wilis
  • Captain Velar (E4/R6)
  • Lt. Naline (R3/F2) The daughter of Velar
  • Captain Britane (W4/F1)
  • Mr. Amery (E4) the Cattlemaster
  • Mr. Petrus (E2) the Carpenter

the Paths of Dal Colia[edit]

On the Paths of Dal Colia toward the Norther March OR to Caradul (Ossion near the Blood Tower)
Kyuad notes that the things watching on the Paths might shunt the group in different areas. Theoretically the walkers of the paths can see the path in the real world so they’d know if they were being rerouted. Although it isn’t called the “Paths of Dal Colia” for nothing. ☺
  • 14 hours at 50 miles = ~700 miles (a jump from First-Hold to the Cobron Isles to the Northern March)
  • Sleep and leave the Cobron Isles (taking care of the Succubus issue soon after)

Dealing with Ossion and his Arrows (the Plague Elves)[edit]

  • Head them off near/before Blood Tower (and Gasterfang)
  • Go to Aradil in Caradul and convince her to stop the Plague Elves
  • Danger of the Cult of the Witch
  • Lord Eotin knows of the pathwalkers (Mi’shun is with him)
  • Taking the Paths of Dal Colia into Caradul may be dangerous in/of itself

Going to Caradul[edit]

  • Aradil’s Eyes: Is it likely that they have a secret elite troop of Elvin assassins under the “Keeper of the Eye”
  • Zal goes into Caradul to begin a campaign of gossip to aid the pathwalkers going into Caradul.
  • Caradul and the Elder Tree may reverse the taint of shadow (endangering Zal’Kazzir greatly)

Vrolk’s Plans[edit]

  • The assumption is that Ardherin began the plan with the Plague Elves, in that Vrolk likely engineered the release.
  • What if his plan is to bring the ‘Eye into Caradul, kill the Elder Tree, then raise it as undead?
  • Vrolk: Has Vrolk been planning anything within Caradul prior to the pathwalkers? Did/does he have others within to build his legion within the Erethor.
  • Vrolk is also a seer and may be looking for the pathwalkers. As well as having “control” over the Eyes of Aradil
  • Vrolk may be able to be “drawn out” from Caradul for the Cadaverous Eye…

Plans for retaking the Cobron Isles[edit]

a) Summon / Kill: If summoned to be killed the Succubus may see their control being lost and order a mass kill / scorched Aryth.
b) Diplomacy: Zal going in and looking to deal with the Succubus to arrange them to leave.
c) Junta: go in to take over then control them over the Isles with Zal as the mob boss – eventually “getting rid of them” when ready to leave.

Considerations…[edit]

  • Will the Cadaverous Eye be destroyed eventually?
    • Currently the plan is to not destroy it ultil we know more about it. Until then, we don't know enough to make this decision.
  • Will the Elthedar Plague be kept in some form?
  • Does the Cadaverous Eye “repel” Varzon? (it didn’t as he flew over it toward Durgaz outside First-Hold)
