Plays in Lost in Jianghu

Azure Falcon (as he is known) is the disciple of the Meng Zhang, the Azure Dragon of the East. He's the only one to have been acknowledged as such so far, and much of his background is unknown, to the consternation of observers in the wulin. It's speculated that he could be the Azure Dragon's son, or lover (although there are so many of those it would hardly mark him out), or possibly art project.

He's appears a young, dashing, stereotypical xia in many way, out seeking adventure and fame. Which is mostly true, but only part of the story. The Four Saint Beasts, as they vie with each other for influence and over distinctions of their personal philosophy, also have a common agenda. They consider themselves (by virtue of their own power if nothing else) to be the pillars and balancers of the wulin; their collective fingers are in every pie, and they have many agents. Azure Falcon is one such.

Azure Falcon is a handsome man with long hair tied in a ponytail, and wears tastefully embroidered blue robes befitting a noble warrior. His personal philosophy is one of beauty in excellence, which he displays in every motion of his jian, Spring Willow

    • Activate this technique on during your Initiative phase and choose a target; there must be live trees in your current zone for this technique to have an effect.
    • This round, you Laugh At and never Fear your target's attacks and defenses; your target Fears and never Laughs At your attacks and defenses.
    • Your target may ignore this technique's effect on a single action if they make a Minor Action using Wu Wei; the difficulty is based on how wooded your zone is. If sparsely wooded, the difficulty is Hard (30); if heavily wooded, the difficulty is Memorable (40); in the oldest forests, or those with a strong supernatural influence, the difficulty is Fantastic (60).

Wulin Greats [15E/5C]

4 Destiny (4E)

Azure Dragon

6 Destiny(6E)

  • 0 Bonus: Being a part of the retinue of a Saint Beast is an exclusive honor; you have 3 Status among the Wulin. (0E)
  • 0 Bonus: The Saint Beasts have many contacts, connections and agents; covert and not. You may spend 1 Joss to declare a story detail establishing a connection to any of the Four Saint Beasts, and have a +5 bonus to social interactions with their agents. (0E)
  • 5 Disadvantage: The Four Saint Beasts see themselves as the pillars and balancers of the Wulin; they do not hesitate to involve themselves in the doings of the great factions, and the Azure Dragon is no different. Many resent their intervention, and their suspicion will naturally fall upon you, to say nothing of those who would seek revenge. When this causes you trouble, gain 1 Destiny. -5 This is your first or second disadvantage. (0E)

Azure Dragon's Kung Fu

  • 2 Technique: Effortless Grace (2E)
  • 3 Technique: Brush Drawing Clouds (3E)

Eagle Talons [3E]

  • 3 Involvement: Between your humiliation of their men and your (from their perspective) unwelcome intervention in Three Bronze Rings business, you've gotten the Talons' attention, for good or ill.

Blade Dogs [3E]

  • 3 Involvement: You're after Heigou the Butcher, an infamous Blade Dog known for foulness in manner and appearance, he has offended the sensibilities of Meng Zhang, the Azure Dragon. It's your privilege to see that offense answered for. (3E)
  • 3 Fortune: You've learned that this Heigou has some distant ties to Sister Chun, and that he seeks the Black Dragon Slayer.

Fire Doctrine [2E]

  • 2 Involvement: You caused Lambent Flame Disciple to immolate himself in shame, before the eyes of his followers; word will surely get back to the foul heretics.

Square Hole Circle [0E]

Bird's Progress [23E]

  • 3 Involvement: Toast of high society and accidental taste-maker. (free)
  • 2 Status: Already one of the city's most famous swordsman! (2E)

The City Above

(2 Destiny/free with campaign loresheet)
Archer's Lament
  • 2 Bonus: When attempting to Discover or inflame a condition while in the pleasure-houses of Archer's Lament, you always laugh at your target's attempt to resist discovery or inflaming Passions. (2E)
  • 2 Fortune: Your presence is always highly sought after; as a result, you never pay for a thing, management goes out of its way to make sure you enjoy yourself, and you can get away with just about anything that doesn't cause damage to life or property. (2E)
Silver Bough Park
2 Fortune: You have walked the paths of Silver Bough Park and returned, (mostly) unscathed. When and if you return, you will always Laugh At and never Fear any challenges or obstacles its strange influence presents.
5 Involvement: The dragon has descended upon Silver Bough Park, and its denizens have taken notice. Such raw power and beauty is no doubt attractive…do they seek to worship this divine manifestation or corrupt it?
3 Technique: You learn the Silver Bough Command formless technique.

Three Bronze Rings

Black Tiger, Golden Rod Tournament
  • 3 Destiny: You've learned that the Butcher has entered the famous tournament of the Three Bronze Rings; it offers you the chance to deal with him! (3E)
