The abandoned daughter of a Chinese businessman and his Sumatran maid Augustine grew up hard on the streets of Jakarta. But she had dreams, she scrabbled to find enough money to finish her schooling, and did things she was not proud of....then paid a little extra to make her high school diploma even better.
When she started her teaching course she found that she was a natural. Eventually she landed a small part-time teachers aide role at an international school. There she met and fell in love with (______) and after they were married she came with him back to (________).
As she settled into her new land she began the long laborius process of transferring her qualifications....well the qualifications her documents said she had.
She grew to love her job and was truly happy for the first time in her life when (______) was hit and killed by a car on the way home from work.
She threw herself into her job, not bearing being home alone......and.........and.........she can never remember what happened then......she's not sure she wants to.....

Mark lived in one of the not so well off areas of NY, he worked mostly as a PI taking on missing persons cases for those with no-one else to turn to, he tried to stay away from the spy on my other half because he was cheating but often took them on simply to make ends meet.

Anna was a part time worker at a local youth centre and the love of Mark's life, but he could never work up the courage to go further than a few dates with her, he kept promising himself that one more case and he would have enough money to do it but he never got the chance.

Unfortunately one day he took on a case of a young man who had disappeared eventually signs pointed to a mob connection and Mark dug a little too deep, there was a warning that he ignored then they came for him in the night.

Since then I'm thinking that he nominally works for the Legion but does Jobs on the side for those who sell a good sob story to, he's become adept at trying to pass messages to the other side but does his best to stay well below the radar on that count.
