Fu<br>
Image of Good Fortune<br>
''Most people tend to have a difficult time trying to decide which is more strange about Rui-en Smith, the fact that he insists on wearing long sleeves and pants even on the hottest day or he is a handsome young man of Chinese descent... with short bright red hair. Either way, he dresses very dapper, almost always wearing something red, often a vest or something pinned to his lapel. But always, it conceals the fantastic tattoos done all over his body, all drawn into his flesh in different styles, but all showing a scene from China, mountains towering over an ocean. Perched on his nose are a pair of simple black-framed glasses that lend him something of a scholar's (or a geek's) air as well.''<br>
''In his Mien, the tattoos come to life, etched in bright gold, and Fu's appearance becomes more obviously of good fortune, even if one doesn't understand the symbols on his skin. His build is somewhat plumper, giving him a jollier look, with his coloring, including the gold-lined paintings on his body bolder. Dark red hair takes on a somewhat feathery texture, while his nails become longer, just enough to be noticed as effeminate, and gilded with gold at the tips. The final detail that completes the image is a sort of heat, a smile with a hint of madness that can threaten even the sanest person to take a leap of faith.''
===History===
Some people are just born lucky. He wasn't handsome, he wasn't rich, but things would just fall together for him, allowing him to glide though his youth and college with ease. Of course it wasn't perfect, but where it mattered most, the guy's life was almost absurd in his good fortune. Unfortunately, that luck was not always ''good.'' Soon after his graduation from college with a degree in computer science, something... happened. People noticed it as his luck running out, and him changing. Instead of a carefree youth, he buckled down under the pressure and began getting places by hard work alone. Perhaps he wondered what happened, but it gave him a sense of pride to be living well under his own power.<br>
But that isn't the same lucky youth as before. Just a painted man of stone and feathers who took his place.<br>
The youth was stolen away, his tremendous luck catching the eye of the Collector, a True Fae who loved nothing more than turning unusual souls into works of art. For five years, the young man was frozen still, a living painting made with needles and brushes, freezing without clothes and learning to be as unfeeling as the paper he was made from, gazed and toyed with by hands that still wake him up screaming. His escape was blurred, but he can remember being pulled down and dressed in actual ''clothes'' as someone helped him run away, back though the Thorns and back home. The group of refugees all were separated and the youth found himself back where he had been taken. After a short time, a woman in all red found him and took him from the place, helping him recover.<br>
Then he got a look at his face, and could not recognize the person in the mirror. Needless to say, the new Changeling was not at all happy at being completely transformed from one person to another, from twenty-three to eighteen, from plain to handsome, from Caucasian to Chinese, to name the most obvious. It took weeks for the Fairest to decide on a name, Fu, luck. Though he was not as unconsciously fortunate as before, he could share the fortune that still thrived inside of him with others, and celebrate being alive again, feeling again. He easily chose the ecstasy of the Southern Court.<br>
It's been almost a year for Fu since returning, and as he is a teenager again, he decided to start again, especially since a good amount of his degree was useless, five years later. When he told the Changeling that he intended to go to college again, her answer was to spin a completely new identity for him to see and thrive in the world. So now Fu is at Pine Falls, far away from home again, but at least now... it was his choice.
===Tattoos===
The tattoos take the form of an idyllic Chinese landscape overlooking the ocean. From his waist down is water and ocean, with a dragon among the waves, with golden fish about, with cranes on the shoreline. His chest displays a pine-covered mountain range, while his arms have chrysanthemums and narcissus all over, with creatures like butterflies and magpies hidden within the garden. While all of the creatures and plants are symbols of good luck in China, the style of the tattoos range from Japanese to Mesoamerican. The only consistency in the artwork is its inconsistency.
===Rui-en Smith===
Rui-en Smith is the adopted identity of the Fairest named Fu. The documents claim him to be adopted from China by Peter and Leona Smith, and the information from a decent public school in Los Angeles show him to be a quiet, but excellent student that had a particular love for computers and art that easily got a scholarship into Spencer University. There is a mention of some sort of emotional trauma that Rui-en refuses to speak of, allowing the changeling to have his moments of irrationality. Due to the faux amis of his name, Fu normally asks to be called Ryan to reduce confusion or the possibility of being teased 'again.'
===Reference stuff===
===Mortal Lines Made===
''When Fu first returned to the mortal world, after getting the hang on the whole thing and becoming Rui-en, he ended up making friends that still live on today. What made for a particular what-the-fuck was the four discovering that their other three friends were all attending Spencer as well. Such is the mischief of fate. The three crazies are:''<br>
'''Ronald O'Houlahan''' - A purebred Irish-American, Ron was raised on the stories of the Fair Folk, and is dead terrified of them. He can recite books of lore about them and always wears something of cold iron on him. Refuses to talk about the 'Vodka Incident' and looks worriedly at Ryan when it's mentioned. Major: Literature<br>
'''Timothy "Scaredy" Scanfield''' - Tim is one of the most high-strung people on Earth, but he also has a remarkable recovery time. Ronald and him have been friends since they were small, Ron torturing him with stories about the Fair Folk. He is normally fairly sedate, just very easily wound up. He was the first to meet Ryan as well. Major: Undeclared<br>
'''Warren Greyfield''' - Warren joined the duo in middle school, becoming friends with Ronald and then being introduced to Tim in high school. He has an intellectual masochistic streak, picking classes that are mind-numbingly difficult for him every year. Major: Organic Chemistry.<br>
==Background==

Angela is the sort of girl who is nice, friendly, and just a little strange. Most people know she is about, because she won't stop making rhythm. The main reason is because she is scared almost shitless of silence. She doesn't trust it, doesn't like it. She can handle things like a nice quiet day, with the echo of the wind in the trees, or being alone with just the splashing of water, but the quiet of a test room? *shiver* Her mp3 player is almost glued to her hip as well.

***

Angela lives with her maternal uncle and grandparents while in Japan. She had been arranging this for years to visit her mother's family, even before becoming Beat Knight Kiyoko (which, yes, it is her middle name). That is actually why she can speak perfect Japanese; her mother has been dead/missing since Angela was about three years old.

She never abused the lax rules that her father placed on her, her main interest outside of school being music of all sorts. Rhythm drew her faster to parties than anything else, and she never cared about anything else.

During one rave, as she was celebrating music the way she always had, suddenly, everything silenced. Everyone was still moving, as if under a spell, but all she could hear was a heartbeat, and it wasn't her own. Angela slipped her headphones on, and then the pulse began to continue, and she began moving again, now to the beat of the heart as she heard people screaming, wanting to stop. She knew what to do, and then she attacked the source. Something had taken over the node, and she was shielded by the node's heart to defend it.

Afterwards, back at home, as she listened to her music, trying to figure out just what happened, she got an explanation between the beats of sound. She was now the champion of the Heartbeat of the World, the pulse that made people move and music carry emotions, and since then, she has become near obsessed with new music, trying to learn what she can do with it.

Schoolwise, she actually does very well with homework and projects, but due to her phobia of silence, it is much more likely that she will bomb the tests, since she loses it.

===Relations===

Fei-Yen / Lumina
Angela keeps being amused and worried about how shy Fei can be, and tries to keep her from worrying too much. Angela has offered to take her out to go to a rave as well, but no luck yet.

Fuuka / Excelia
Both girls are in the same science and math classes, though Angela gets some tutoring, when she needs things clarified.

Yoriko / Yomi
Angela hasn't really talked to Yomi, though she has heard about her skill at summoning.

Noriko / Thanasia
Angela's maternal family lives a distance away enough that Angela has to take a bicycle to school, and the first time she used the graveyard as a shortcut, she got attacked by one very pissed off Pretty Deathknight. After it got cleared up (and Angela apologized and revealed her own status as a magical girl), the two got on a little more friendly terms. Now, out of respect, Angela now has a playlist of music that she plays while taking the shortcut though the graveyard, which she walks though, instead of riding though.

=== Angela's Family ===
The line of women Angela comes from have an unusual potential; that of a magical girl, but that must be shaped by another. Until then, a woman of the Jirikii (the clan with the original gift) line merely has a powerful and untappable potential. That is why Angela was contacted by the Heartbeat. However, in this age, very few people can detect it, let alone tap into it.
<br>
<br>'''Ito Tanebi''' - Angela's fiery grandmother, she is vaguely aware of the potential that her blood carries, but only because of her very sharp eyes and watching her daughter and granddaughter. She is very traditional, but still, the bonds of tradition merely channel her fire into her spirit and sharp enough eyes. Think the old-fashioned scary grandmother. She doesn't like how people put her daughter on a pedastal, and when she finds a shrine to her daughter, she breaks it apart.<br>
<br>
'''Ito Seishirou''' - Angela's grandfather is a quiet man, who only fights with his wife over one matter: cooking. He approves of his granddaughter's passion for music, even if he is tone-deaf. He also has an diabolic sense of humor, and a camera. He has plenty of embarrassing pictures of his family, including Angela, explaining that he has to make up for lost time.<br>
<br>
'''Ito Daisuke''' - A humble company man and Angela's uncle. He can't speak a word of English, and so he calls Angela 'Angi' or by her middle name, Kiyoko. He rides two types of bikes, a bicycle for getting to work and going out with his niece, and a motorcycle for racing.<br>
<br>
'''Kaisei Schildkrote''' - A popular singer by the name of Ito Kaisei, and Angela's mother, she went missing 13 years ago, leaving a family and a devoted fan base behind. No one knows where she vanished. She was a kind loving woman who adored singing, though she was very embarrassed by the shrines and fans at times. It isn't certain if her potential was awakened.

=== Ten Random Facts about Angela ===

*Angela has a habit of copying CDs and selling them at a very low discount (she pretty much has the price as twice the cost of the blank CD, which is much cheaper). She normally does this for techno and mixed CDs only. If it's an album, she won't do it.

*Give her a song, and she'll be able to name the song, the artist, and the album. And possibly sing all of the lyrics.

*Before she got died, Angela's mother was a popular singer, but that was over ten years ago. Angela isn't aware of her mother's fan base, because the memories hurt her father too much. Unfortunately, Angela looks a lot like her mother. If the fans find out that the rumors that she had a daughter are true, and she is in Japan...

*Angela is a klutz on ice skates. Roller blades? Easy. But for some reason, she just can't get the hang of ice stakes.

*Ramen is Angela's crack. She almost always has ramen for lunch.

*As Kiyoko, she hasn't really had a true villain to face against, just individual enemies trying to take control of the moving node in the city that she lived in. ==Background==

===Relations===

She actually arranged for it to be 'centered and sealed' as to keep it safe and able to be protected by other magical girls.

*Romance? She has been... haunted by dreams of a masked young man, and he actually speaks with her. She hasn't seen him yet, though. But god, she is besotted with his voice, and she can't seem to gather any other sort of romantic interest. Theme for this: Another Night, Another Dream, by Real McCoy.

*Her bedroom is rather plain looking. She doesn't need much, though there is her computer, her wardrobe, and her bed. It's cramped to Angela's point of view, but also cozy.

*Being an attractive ''gaijin'', Angela has been hit on enough she now wears a baseball cap or something to hide her long blonde hair when she is out and about. She removes it at school, around Fei-Yen (she is prettier and gets more attention), and when she is with her family (Obaa-san complains if she hides her 'beautiful hair' in her presence, and the woman would kill her granddaughter if she ever dyed her hair).

*Angela is almost always escorted to school by her uncle, since his work is on route. Both ride their bicycles.

*When Angela is all alone and listening to Hotei, she will begin doing air-guitar and singing. She isn't aware that her grandmother has a picture of her doing this.

''Cassidy has an aura that mixes old Hollywood and high-rolling Vegas glamour that makes almost everyone around her take notice as she moves with grace among the crowds, able to look most men dead in the eye at 5'10. Long black hair that is never loose slinks down to her hips if it is in her customary loose braid, and her eyes are a jewel-tone green that glitters with a blazing fire that seems dangerously attractive. None of her clothes are designer, but somehow, she makes up for it with her own body and the vivid colors she chooses, mainly scarlet, coblat blue, and rich honey-gold. Her stance is very solid for such a pretty lady.''
==Anima==
With a touch and a mote of essence per body, Cassidy can burn the bodies of the fallen and send the smoke and the soul up to heaven, preventing the body from returning as a zombie and the soul from being a wraith or a spectre.
With ten motes, she can flare like the noonday sun, lightening the (Permanent Essence x 10) yards around her, and for the rest of the scene she gets additional lethal and bashing soak equal to her essence against attack by all creatures of darkness. She can also add her Essence to the minimum number of dice she rolls for any attack made against a CoD. This part also comes into effect when she uses 11-15 motes of Peripheral Essence.
<br>Cassidy's anima takes on the form of a Grecian goddess made of gold and white light, gowned in a toga and armed with a shield and a helm, that echoes her movements.
She treats them very well and encourages them discussing what has happened, since she was honest and told them that she was just as new at this as anyone.
'''Allies''' Xander Shadoweyes is of the Changing Breeds, who one night, noticed a vampire shadowing a pretty girl as she left the club she was working at. She took a shortcut, to his horror, and he went running, hoping to save her, but was dumbstruck to see the sucker running away with the woman, now blazing with what looked to be the fury of the noonday sun, in hot pursuit with a brush in her hand. He watched as the man ran away in a burst of speed, and then approached the glowing woman, asking how the fuck did she go off like that.
<br>Well, Xander was never good with introductions with cute girls, but Cassidy didn't mind. They exchanged numbers and Xander works as a bouncer at Lucky Star now. She and the other entertainment at the LS are the only ones who can call him Fuzzy.

'''Influence 1''' Cassidy is known for being a VERY good singer and for a spectacular rant she did on a Christian who was being a jerk to some girls who work in the bars of Vegas.
==History==
Cassidy doesn't talk much about her childhood, but apparently, it was harsh enough to leave her with no faith in the Christian god. Casey Marlin ran away from home at age 19, with the wits about her to take all forms of identification as well, and headed to Vegas in hopes to put her voice to good use. She did well for a time, until a producer came up against the still-gangly girl's morals. Casey's reaction to an offer involving certain... favors to be exchanged ended up with him with a broken nose and she storming out with the producer screaming that she would never work in his casinos.<br>
So, for a year, the newly dubbed Cassidy Starbreeze worked in bars and in cafes as a waitress, not looking for a break, but focusing on turning her voice into a finely tuned instrument. If she couldn't get a job in his places all because she wouldn't debase herself, then his places were not worth it. Finally, she did get a break, strangely on break at the karaoke bar she was working at, cooing into the microphone at the request of some Japanese tourists. A man who ran a club of his own, the Lucky Star, asked if he could convince her to work at his place. She happily agreed, and as he expected, her voice began to bring in the crowds. He didn't get any other benefits from her, but with the other girls willing, and Cassidy bringing in people, he didn't mind very much.<br>
One day, Cassidy woke up like she normally did, at 11 am. But instead of eating at home, for once, she decided to treat herself. While she was at a small cafe that had been recommended by a coworker, a bible-thumper went into a tirade of abuse about the 'whores of Babylon,' including herself, and Cassidy snapped, taking the man outside into the plaza and going into her own ice-cold retort about assumptions and tearing his arguments down, piece by piece, to the applause of the crowd. And then she turned on her heel, walking away and trying not to scream. A part of her envied that he actually had something to believe in, and as noon came, there was a pulse as she finally let her fury out, slamming her fist into a wall.<br>
In that moment of clarity and despair, there was a whisper, a pulse. Cassidy wasn't too sure just what it was, but something sparked in her, and she knew it. Something was burning, an inner fire that was warming her, burning away her tears. That night, she began to sing brighter than ever, and things began to get... weird. She has made friends with a handful of people who had seen her rant at the preacher, who look up to her and her Inner Fire, and well, there's Fuzzy. He has promised to introduce her to a few of his friends at some point, saying that they will be really impressed with her 'blazing brush.'<br>
That incident, the one with that weird guy who tried approaching her after she had turned him down twice at the club, taught her a few things, most important being that the Inner Fire within her wasn't just something to influence people with. She could actually fight with it against certain things, and she keeps on the lookout for suckers like the one she had met before.

==Personality==
Cassidy is a mellow woman, and not much can get her riled up. She refuses all intoxicants and drugs, even most sodas and cigarettes, though she has been known to eat foods that seem inedible, and doesn't complain. When she is angry, though, she is fury incarnate, her eyes almost blazing and her voice colder than the midnight sun, words almost a physical punch in the gut. There is a confidence and conviction that drifts around her that makes her seem untouchable, yet when she smiles and truly laughs, the innocence and purity that she still has, the pieces that she protects viciously, sparkles along with the inner strength and fire.

==Merits and Flaws==

===Enchanting Feature===
Cassidy has a very beautiful voice, husky and sweet as she speaks and as sweet and smooth as honey when she sings. ''2 point merit, First Edition Player's Guide, pg. 22.''

===Rival===
Cassidy has two people pissed at her.
<br>Mary-Ann Ritter is envious about Cassidy's budding career, and would like to end it before it becomes a threat.
<br>Reverend Brown? He is angry because she lured away a few of his followers, and he is rather covetous of them. And more annoying? SHE IGNORES HIM. ''2 point flaw, First Edition Player's Guide, pg. 37''

==Goals and Motivations==
Cassidy doesn't have much of an idea of what is going on, though she sometimes hears a soft comforting whisper in her ear. She knows that the Inner Fire is not normal, but she believes it both something within and without. If she can encourage the fire, that may free people from the delusions of the so-called 'loving' god that drove her parents into their beliefs that convinced them to punish her, who drive others to fanatical levels of intolerance all over the world.

==Motivation==
Coax the Inner Fire brighter in the masses

==Anima==
With a touch and a mote of essence per body, Cassidy can burn the bodies of the fallen and send the smoke and the soul up to heaven, perventing the body from returning as a zombie and the soul from being a wraith or a spectre.

'''Resources 1''' The Lucky Star doesn't pay much, unfortunately, but she finds a way to live off it, with the help of a Japanese roommate who she has become friends with. She knows that she may get a bonus earlier if she 'got' more intimate, but both sides understand that it will be her decision, and she has already made it. FUCK NO.

'''Followers 1''' Four members of one of the local 'Christian' groups that got swayed and inspired by Cassidy's discussions of 'Inner Fire.' They have actually gotten to see her use the inner fire before.

==Personality==
<br>Reverend Brown? He is angry because she lured away a few of his followers, and he is rather covetous of them. And more annoying? SHE IGNORES HIM. ''2 point flaw, First Edition Player's Guide, pg. 37''

==Goals and Motivations==
With a touch and a mote of essence per body, Cassidy can burn the bodies of the fallen and send the smoke and the soul up to heaven, perventing the body from returning as a zombie and the soul from being a wraith or a spectre.

==Charms==

==History==
==History==

==Personality==

==Merits and Flaws==

===Enchanting Feature===
Cassidy has a very beautiful voice, husky and sweet as she speaks and as sweet and smooth as honey when she sings. ''2 point merit, First Edition Player's Guide, pg. 22.''

===Rival===

==Goals and Motivations==

There are times when one must defend their beliefs politely, but sometimes, a Solar grows weary of the constant need to explain themselves gently, biting down rude retorts, or to ignore the arrogance of others claiming what they believe is wrong, and now, the kid skin gloves are off. ==History==

==Personality==

==Merits and Flaws==

===Enchanting Feature===
Cassidy has a very beautiful voice, husky and sweet as she speaks and as sweet and smooth as honey when she sings. ''2 point merit, First Edition Player's Guide, pg. 22.''

===Rival===

==Goals and Motivations==
