*Lockpicks and Multikey

==Drugs and Consumables==
*Gorsk White Gin. 2 bottles. Special Occasions only. Can also be used to kill small animals and clean drains. IH p. 129
<br>
*Wines of Quaddis. Assorted. For dinner parties, etc. IH p. 129
<br>
*Night Dust. Enough low-level supply for 4 months or for three binges. When used in highly diluted concentrations, night dust is an exotic hallucinogen. Usually smoked with lho. Has occasionally imbibed in higher doses with alcohol, but the effects were less than pleasant. Not addictive. IH p. 129
<br>
*Ghostfire Pollen Extract. 2 doses. Sometimes taken on dangerous combat missions. “Recovered” from certain penal legion quartermasters. Salvador is sure to wear cheap clothing, as the bleeding of his pores has ruined more than one suit. Not addictive. IH p. 184.
<br>
*Obscura. 25 doses (concentrated powder). Only taken in times of boredom. In the subsequent depression, Sal may become irritable and prone to treachery. Often used for bribery/ blackmail. Addictive, but not currently addicted. DH p.148
<br>
*Stimm. Again, only for combat. Unknown if addictive. Not addicted. DH p.149
<br>
*Explication Serum. 30 doses. Sometimes mixed with an injectable drug (such as dilute obscura) to induce free speech in a target. Of course, Sal never indulges. RH p. 159
<br>
*Lho. Effectively infinite supply. Smoked, not injected. Sal is addicted to lho sticks.
<br>
*Phetamote. 3 month’s supply (90 doses) in pill form. Sal is addicted, and suffers -10 to Perception when not using the drug. He is takes -5 to Str, Toughness, and Ag when using the drug and for 1d5 hours afterwards (may be decreased due to heavy use).
<br>
*Blush. 2 bottles. A somewhat amusing liquor. ItS p.133
<br>
*Attention Spanner. 4 doses. Sometimes used for an extremely challenging project. Once, Salvador became distracted and painted a series of landscape instead. His Inquisitor at the time was not amused.
<br>
*White Void. 3 months supply (90 doses) in powder form. Usually smoked via lho-stick (specially rolled and labelled). Sal is addicted. ItS p.133
<br>
The three drugs Sal is addicted to (Lho, White Void, and Phetamote) are Common, Rare, and Very Rare, respectively. With the aid of the Kasballica Mission, this is reduced to Ubiquitous, Abundant, and Plentiful. Of course, Sal does not buy his lho-sticks from the mob.

===Effective Drug Modifiers===
*Lho. None (other than clouds of slightly spicy smoke and possible second-hand halluciongenic effects if he's spiked it with Night Dust.)
<br>
*White Void. +20 Wp for 1d10 minutes. Sal must use once per day. Sal's irides are white, but he disguises this with coloured contact lenses when on missions. The effect is rather unnerving when he's just lounging around, however.
<br>
*Phetamote. -10 to Per when not using the drug. +10 to Per, -5 to Str, T, and Ag for 1d5 hours per dose when using. Sal must use once per day.
<br>
In case of Brain Emergency, Sal will slam some White Void and then some Attention Spanner.
<br>
*Attention Spanner. Must take a -10 Wp test. If succcessful, +30 to Int for 3d10 rounds. If failed, -20 to all tests for 3d10 rounds as something else fixiates him.
<br>
*With a sucessful dose of Attention Spanner, Sal's Int is effectively (temporarily) 94. His Int bonus is 18.

==Contacts==

===The Roving Bibliophiles===
An eclectic group of around a dozen scholars, associates, and scribes generously maintained by the lavish donations of Duke Antony Borsola (and a few other notables), the Roving Bibliophiles are the tools of their unseen masters. They are ever tasked to seek out and procure (sometimes by illegal means) rare volumes and works. They go where they are ordered to go, and are payed extremely well for their troubles.

Duke Borsola, theoretically, can order the group from world to world with a world. They go where they are paid to go, sometimes spending months in idleness.
<br>
*Group (50)
*Skill Group (Shadow Craft) (50)
*Trusted (100)
*Total: 300xp

===The Kasballica Mission===
Little needs to be said about this sector-spanning criminal organization. There are very few worlds that are not graced by them, and, for the right price, one can obtain anything from their storerooms. They trust Sal (or his intermediaries). He trusts them. Both profit immensely.

*Organization (like an Adeptus, but not) (200)
*Skill (Chem Use): 10
*Skill Expert (Chem Use): 20

===Alter Ego: Duke Antony Borsola===
Sal often finds it expedient to be someone else for a time. Duke Borsola, a notorious recluse, suffered a "nervous attack" and died a decade ago. Salvador Thorn assumed his identity, his title, and his small holdings on Scintilla. His paperwork is entirely in order, and the Duke's reputation as a learned man and a traveller opens many doors on far-flung worlds. Sal is careful to wear a moustache and streak his hair grey when assuming the Duke's identity.
*Attention Spanner. 4 doses. Sometimes used for an extremely challenging project. Once, Salvador became distracted and painted a series of landscape instead. His Inquisitor at the time was not amused.
<br>
*White Void. 3 months supply (90 doses) in powder form. Usually smoked via lho-stick (specially rolled and labelled). Sal is addicted. ItS p.133
<br>

===Effective Drug Modifiers===
*Lho. None (other than clouds of slightly spicy smoke and possible second-hand halluciongenic effects if he's spiked it with Night Dust.)
<br>
*White Void. +20 Wp for 1d10 minutes. Sal must use once per day. Sal's irides are white, but he disguises this with coloured contact lenses when on missions. The effect is rather unnerving when he's just lounging around, however.
<br>
*Phetamote. -10 to Per when not using the drug. +10 to Per, -5 to Str, T, and Ag for 1d5 hours per dose when using. Sal must use once per day.
<br>
In case of Brain Emergency, Sal will slam some White Void and then some Attention Spanner.
<br>
*Attention Spanner. Must take a -10 Wp test. If succcessful, +30 to Int for 3d10 rounds. If failed, -20 to all tests for 3d10 rounds as something else fixiates him.
<br>
*With a sucessful dose of Attention Spanner, Sal's Int is effectively (temporarily) 94. His Int bonus is 18.
===Alter Ego: Duke Antony Borsola===
*Gorsk White Gin. 2 bottles. Special Occasions only. Can also be used to kill small animals and clean drains. IH p. 129
<br>
*Wines of Quaddis. Assorted. For dinner parties, etc. IH p. 129
<br>
IH p. 129
<br>
IH p. 184.
<br>
*Obscura. 25 doses (concentrated powder). Only taken in times of boredom. In the subsequent depression, Sal may become irritable and prone to treachery. Often used for bribery/ blackmail. Addictive, but not currently addicted. DH p.148
<br>
*Stimm. Again, only for combat. Unknown if addictive. Not addicted. DH p.149
<br>
*Explication Serum. 30 doses. Sometimes mixed with an injectable drug (such as dilute obscura) to induce free speech in a target. Of course, Sal never indulges. RH p. 159
<br>
*Lho. Effectively infinite supply. Smoked, not injected. Sal is addicted to lho sticks.
<br>
*Phetamote. 3 month’s supply (90 doses) in pill form. Sal is addicted, and suffers -10 to Perception when not using the drug. He is takes -5 to Str, Toughness, and Ag when using the drug and for 1d5 hours afterwards (may be decreased due to heavy use).
<br>
*Blush. 2 bottles. A somewhat amusing liquor. ItS p.133
*White Void. 3 months supply (90 doses) in powder form. Usually smoked via lho-stick (specially rolled and labelled). Sal is addicted. ItS p.133
<br>
*Wines of Quaddis. Assorted. For dinner parties, etc. IH p. 129
<br>
IH p. 129
<br>
IH p. 184.
<br>
*Obscura. 25 doses (concentrated powder). Only taken in times of boredom. In the subsequent depression, Sal may become irritable and prone to treachery. Often used for bribery/ blackmail. Addictive, but not currently addicted. DH p.148
<br>
*Lho. Effectively infinite supply. Smoked, not injected. Sal is addicted to lho sticks.
<br>
*Phetamote. 3 month’s supply (90 doses) in pill form. Sal is addicted, and suffers -10 to Perception when not using the drug. He is takes -5 to Str, Toughness, and Ag when using the drug and for 1d5 hours afterwards (may be decreased due to heavy use).
<br>
*Blush. 2 bottles. A somewhat amusing liquor. ItS p.133
<br>
*Attention Spanner. 4 doses. Sometimes used for an extremely challenging project. Once, Salvador became distracted and painted a series of landscape instead. His Inquisitor at the time was not amused.
<br>
*White Void. 3 months supply (90 doses) in powder form. Usually smoked via lho-stick (specially rolled and labelled). Sal is addicted. ItS p.133
<br>
*White Void. +20 Wp for 1d10 minutes. Sal must use once per day. Sal's irides are white, but he disguises this with coloured contact lenses when on missions. The effect is rather unnerving when he's just lounging around, however.
*Phetamote. -10 to Per when not using the drug. +10 to Per, -5 to Str, T, and Ag for 1d5 hours per dose when using. Sal must use once per day.
*Lockpicks and Multikey
*Vox Thief and Vox Bugs

==Drugs and Consumables==
*Gorsk White Gin. 2 bottles. Special Occasions only. Can also be used to kill small animals and clean drains. IH p. 129
<br>
*Wines of Quaddis. Assorted. For dinner parties, etc. IH p. 129
<br>
IH p. 129
<br>
IH p. 184.
<br>
*Obscura. 25 doses (concentrated powder). Only taken in times of boredom. In the subsequent depression, Sal may become irritable and prone to treachery. Often used for bribery/ blackmail. Addictive, but not currently addicted. DH p.148
<br>
*Stimm. Again, only for combat. Unknown if addictive. Not addicted. DH p.149
<br>
*Explication Serum. 30 doses. Sometimes mixed with an injectable drug (such as dilute obscura) to induce free speech in a target. Of course, Sal never indulges. RH p. 159
<br>
*Lho. Effectively infinite supply. Smoked, not injected. Sal is addicted to lho sticks.
<br>
*Phetamote. 3 month’s supply (90 doses) in pill form. Sal is addicted, and suffers -10 to Perception when not using the drug. He is takes -5 to Str, Toughness, and Ag when using the drug and for 1d5 hours afterwards (may be decreased due to heavy use).
<br>
*Blush. 2 bottles. A somewhat amusing liquor. ItS p.133
<br>
*Attention Spanner. 4 doses. Sometimes used for an extremely challenging project. Once, Salvador became distracted and painted a series of landscape instead. His Inquisitor at the time was not amused.
<br>
*White Void. 3 months supply (90 doses) in powder form. Usually smoked via lho-stick (specially rolled and labelled). Sal is addicted. ItS p.133
<br>

===Effective Drug Modifiers===
*Lho. None (other than clouds of slightly spicy smoke and possible second-hand halluciongenic effects if he's spiked it with Night Dust.)
<br>
*White Void. +20 Wp for 1d10 minutes. Sal must use once per day. Sal's irides are white, but he disguises this with coloured contact lenses when on missions. The effect is rather unnerving when he's just lounging around, however.
<br>
*Phetamote. -10 to Per when not using the drug. +10 to Per, -5 to Str, T, and Ag for 1d5 hours per dose when using. Sal must use once per day.
<br>
In case of Brain Emergency, Sal will slam some White Void and then some Attention Spanner.
<br>
*Attention Spanner. Must take a -10 Wp test. If succcessful, +30 to Int for 3d10 rounds. If failed, -20 to all tests for 3d10 rounds as something else fixiates him.
<br>
*With a sucessful dose of Attention Spanner, Sal's Int is effectively (temporarily) 94. His Int bonus is 18.

==Contacts==

===The Roving Bibliophiles==

===The Kasballica Mission===
Little needs to be said about this sector-spanning criminal organization. There are very few worlds that are not graced by them, and, for the right price, one can obtain anything from their storerooms. They trust Sal (or his intermediaries). He trusts them. Both profit immensely.
===Alter Ego: Duke Antony Borsola===

==Introduction==
Are you tired of PbP campaigns where you have to spend hours building your character? Where getting magic swords and powerful artefacts is barely remarkable? Where death is an inconvenience, dragons merely a challenge, and the gods themselves reliable friends and confidantes?

Probably not. But why not give this a shot? Why not play a Kobold?

What’s a Kobold? Well, they kind of resemble dogs, and they kind of resemble lizards, but they also resemble goblins. They’re short humanoids, with large pointed heads, wobbly ears, and very small brains. Unlike goblins, they aren’t good with mechanisms (beyond very simple ones). Unlike humans, they aren’t multitalented and quick-witted. Unlike orcs, they aren’t strong (at all), or good at fighting. In fact, it’s generally agreed that Kobolds are absolutely rubbish at everything.

Most kobolds live in caves, abandoned keeps, or the upper levels of dungeons. They lack the ability to construct stone buildings, preferring shoddy wooden construction and dirt. Nobody knows if Kobolds worship deities, and, quite frankly, nobody cares. Nobody’s ever bothered translating their language (beyond a few simple phrases such as “Run away or I will kill you!” or “Do you have anything valuable?”) Adventuring parties, marauding raiders, or angry natural creatures often slaughter kobolds without hesitation or effort.

Kobolds are inquisitive, but not wise. They’re brave, but not skilled. They’re numerous, but fundamentally worthless. Want to play a Kobold anyway?

Setting and mission prep is collaborative. Feel free to make stuff up.
==Notable NPCs==

== Character Creation ==

== Rules ==
Kobolds have five Stats

Brains:
Brawn:
Wriggliness:
Boldness:
Charm:

You may allocate 9 points between the stats. No stat may be higher than 4.

0: Utterly pathetic
1: Almost as pathetic, actually.
2: Barely competent
3: Reasonable
4: Incredible!

Kobolds also have a whole bunch of Regular Skills. Here are a few examples:

* Cooking Stuff (Brains)
* Running Away (Wrig.)
* Not Running Away (Boldness)
* Dodging (Wrig.)
* Punching (Brawn)
* Speaking Human (Brains)
* Lying (Charm)
* etc, etc.

Kobolds have 15 points to distribute in their Regular Skills. Each Regular Skill has a corresponding Stat. You must have at least 1 point in a skill to use it. Feel free to make up skills.

Kobolds can also have Elite Skills. You only get one of these, so choose wisely. You don't have to spend points on these. Elite skills also come with useful items and gear. Here are a few examples.

* Praying Really Hard: You pray to a god of your choice (make one up, along with rituals and so-on). Sometimes, something useful happens.
* Magic! You can do magic! Really! You swear it’ll work this time!
* Using a Sword: You know which end of the sword is point, and how to use it.
* Using a Shortbow and Arrows: After some trial and error, you’ve discovered which end of the arrow points towards the target.
* Doing Fiddly Things: Picking locks, picking noses, making things like ladders, etc.
* Training Animals: You can train some of the many animals that respect kobolds, such as small frogs, rats, or very lazy kittens
* Something Else You Made Up: Pending GM approval.

===Anchors===
None, currently.

==History==
[Name Redacted] Butler was born to a prosperous middle class family in South London. He was employed, first as a hall boy and later at various higher-ranked tasks, by the Earl of Sidcup and his estate. He left the Earl's employ three years ago, entering the service of late Major-General Antimony Bushness. When General died, Butler almost immediately recieved an offer of employment from an unspecified party.

The letter, written in cramped spiraling letters, revealed that said unspecified party would be "indisposed, for a time" and his "earthly affairs" could use the tending of a keen and able servant. The significant cash advance removed any lingering doubts.

After following an extremely specific and curious series of transfers, side-journeys, and ritualistic gestures on the Underground, Butler found himself exiting a particularly dark passage into bright, costal sunlight.

His Commencement was sudden, unexpected, and surprisingly painful. An organized and rational mind does not deal well with excessive tampering, and Butler's mind was and is excessively organized and rational. He could feel every act of every employee, and, for just a moment, he was spread across ten thousand worlds and uncountable minds. His sense of duty and unflinching determination snapped him back like a rubber band.

After steading himself on a nearby parapet, Butler found his way to the correct complex. The doormen recognized him without a word: the monks he passed on the stairs bowed their heads.

Butler can hear the vague nondemnomentational prayers of servants, local or otherwise, sometimes without any special effort on his part. He also recieves rumours, secret information, and details untold without any apparent effort. Servants recognize him, perhaps unconciously, as a Lord of Servants. He knows he can inspire a servant to impossible feats or shatter their loyalty with a gesture. Without apparent effort he knows the correct title for any (undisguised) person, entity, or concept (a difficult proposition, to be sure) that he encounters.

His lifelong love of reading and observation has given him a keenly honed mind, able to discuss philosophy and fashion with equal ease. To intrude, interupt, override, or question a superior would be, of course, unthinkable. As the Lord of Servant he can command any being that serves... but has little hold on free men.

====Emblem====
Closed black flower with six sharp petals, overlapping. The stem consists of tightly spaced leaves, and rises from a field of grass which melds into the background, standing in stark contrast to the black of the flower.

Untrained eyes might see only one flower, but Angels know that grass too blooms, even if the flowers are closed and hidden.

==Background==
<<WAS NOT BORN OF FLESH BUT FORGED FROM IRON! FLESH FAILS, BUT IRON ENDURES!>>

Born somewhere in the industrial mires of Volg, on blighted Fenksworld, the child that would become Magos Martel seemed destined to lead a short and unpleasant life. Orphaned by incessant warfare, Martel was drafted into one of the feuding gangs and inducted into a life of violence at the age of 12. He survived dozens of small wars, but was caught by a Mechanicus press-gang, out searching for pliable labour. Nerve-stapled and fitted with crude mining agumentics, Martel was send deep under the bubbling loam of Volg, searching for valuable ores in the damp and dark.

<<MINE IS THE DRILL THAT SHALL PIERCE YOUR FLESH!>>

By dint of tenacity and skill, Martel survived longer than his peers and superiors, earning some meagre promotions. He was accepted as a Lay-Brother of the Mechanicus in his 19th year, and almost immediately requested to join the Skitarii, the elite Tech-Guard of the Mechanicus. He was accepted and prospered there, moving rapidly though the ranks. He was tutored and accepted as a Tech-Priest, gaining agumentic enhancements, armour, and weapons to match his new rank.

<<THE MECHANICUS TOOK FROM ME MY SENSE OF FEAR, MY SENSE OF PITY, AND MY SENSE OF MERCY. UNFORTUNATELY FOR YOU, THEY ALLOWED ME TO KEEP MY SENSE OF HUMOUR. RUN, MORTAL.>>

Martel swiftly gained a reputation for accepting and surviving suicidal missions. He was therefore seconded to several Inquisitorial retinues, usually in an advisory and fire support capacity. He was a politically useful tool: outwardly lacking in ambition, dogmatic, and very, very efficient. When Inquisitor Tomax was confirmed to be a corrupt madman, Magos Martel was the only survivor of three hundred agents sent to clear the lower tunnels of the Inquisitor’s fortified estate. He sustained serious damage, but succeeding in executing every one of the Inqusitor’s servants and corrupt experiments that crossed his path, dragging himself from the catacombs after six days of fighting.

<<AM A MAGOS MILITANT! I WAS BUILT FOR WAR! IT IS MY NATURAL CONDITION, HUMAN!>>

Like all Tech-Priests, Magos Martel wears a deep crimson hooded robe, concealing most of his body. Every inch of his flesh is concealed beneath thick power armour, which gleams whenever he moves. His face is a stylized skull mask, a holdover from his Skitarrii days. His two “normal” arms are augmented by a set of extra limbs grafted to his torso and back. To his left, an upgraded version of his familiar mining drill spins ominously, while his right arm is assisted by a titanic servo-arm, engraved with prayers to the Machine God. He towers over men of flesh, a paragon of machine-assisted death and war.

Former masters have informed him that he is, perhaps, a little less than gregarious, so he carries a small bag of “sugar-based sweets”, which he resorts to as a social defence mechanism. His voice is booming, designed to trigger mammalian fear-instincts. His emotions are distorted and mostly absent, but he does seem to show signs of humour beneath the mask. Certainly, he is most “alive” in battle. He is also a truly faithful servant, following orders to their absolute logical limit.

Cousin to the rather infamous Lord Captain Laertes Olivares, Wilberforce was raised in the halls of power. Unlike his cousin, however, he had no propensity or aptitude for dangerous endeavours. His mind was focused on three things: drink, money, and women. He spent much of his life moving from bar to bar on a hundred different worlds, making friends but never enemies. His spree of debauchery was brought to an abrupt end by his formidable Aunt Abigale, matron of the civilian side of the Olivares clan.

She dragged him to Ultionis, the Lord Captain’s headquarters in the Expanse, and forced him to put his numerological and criminal skills to work for the dynasty. When the Dread Necrontyr rose from their ageless sleep, Wilberforce found himself forced to assist in frontline logistics and even repel boarding actions. The conflict left him with deep mental scars, and he vowed to get as far from the Expanse as possible.

He managed to escape the tyranny of Aunt Abigale and exchange it for the pleasant decadence of Footfall. There, he met the Lady-Captain Krydiss, and in a fit of drunken lust proposed to her. Escaping a fate worse than death by a series of extraordinary deceptions, Wilberforce nonetheless found himself in the Lady Captain’s employment. After all, his family wouldn’t think to look for him there, and he could enjoy the hospitality of the Lady Captain for minimal work in return. Or, at least, that’s the plan...

==History==

==History==

==Emblem==

== Chancel ==
A archipelago of city states. They trace much of their cultural heritage to Alexander's Army. Their culture has both strong Hellenistic and Vedic aesthetics, but with a unique syncretism and extrapolation all their own. Many of thier cities take the form of single buildings spiraling out of the islands like horns of some animal.

They have an extremely rigid society with each persons role in life proscribed long before they were born, and loyalty to the city state as the highest virtue.

The islands once existed in a sea channel between India and Greece.

They have also kept alive the ancient traditions of mastering the body through the will, and their martial art's masters can achieve feats that rival that of modern science.
