Mahias Kruta is the fifth scion of Kurdt and Petrine Kruta, the Lord Baron and Lady Kruta of Hive Sibellus, holders of the ancient Kruta Warrant of Trade and Exploration and owners of the KSE Fleet. Kruta enjoyed that common place in a noble family, the child with something to prove. Far removed from the conceivable line of succession, young Mahias found himself investigating the wider world beyond his home, beyond the Hive, beyond Scintilla. Seeing his future in either the Administratum or the void, Mahias pursued four cardinal interests: Correspondence, to stay abreast of what his parents and their advisors never told him; Knowledge, to know what it meant; Influence, to pool what he knows and profit from it; and Combat skills, to safeguard what is his. A career in the Arbites exposed Kruta to the entire swath of human nature, the noble criminal, the petty official, the corrupt Priest, the "crime lord" heretic. Through this wide experience, Kruta learned the true dangers to the Imperium. Heresy, disloyalty to the Emperor. In all of its forms.

Kruta nominally belongs to the Ordo Hereticus, and his passion truly is the disruption and destruction of undermining elements. However, in his pursuit of all that is detrimental to the Empire, he happens across elements with a deeper impetus. Chaos beyond men and mutant, but the Daemon. Rebellion with those not of His DNA at the helm, but that of other galactic inhabitabts. Upon the discovery of these special cases, Kruta delves into his list of contacts to expunge the offending elements. To date, Kruta has unearthed forty-seven (47) cases for Ordos Malleus and Xenos to process and close successfully.
