This is a space opera for GURPS. To use the terminology from the Ultra Tech book, this is a TL 10 New Space Opera (but with some technologies omitted/changed), at medium progression. The idea is for it to be a sandbox for GMs to play in. The primary purpose of these pages will be listing the systems, which will be randomly generated using a hybrid of the steps found in 4e GURPS Space and 3e GURPS Traveller: First In (other book suggestions for deeper world building will be appreciated). I've found that interesting things can appear when using random generation.
In 2120, four tiny wormholes were discovered at the edge of the Solar System. They were micrometeres across, but shooting energy at them allowed them to expand large enough for a ship to pass through. They were dubbed 'keyholes', and have opened up the galaxy to humanity.

It was proposed among the nations of the world that imperalism was an old evil that should not be allowed to resurface. Each new colony would be its own state to make up for themselves, and they would all be joined in an alliance called the Terran Coalition, structured very much like the early EU.
==Bush==

A small rocky planet.

==New America==

* World Type: Standard (Garden)
* Diameter: 7216.3 miles (0.91 E)
* Gravity: 0.91 G
* Density: 5.52 g/cc (1 E)
* Axial Tilt: 21º
* Day Length: 26 Earth Hours, 58 Minutes, 23.56 Seconds
* Year Length: 324.1 Earth days (289.38 Local days)
* Atmospheric Pressure: 0.97 atm
* Atmospheric Composition: High Carbon Dioxide
* Hydrographics: 62.12%
* Climate: Cold/Chilly
* Resources: Poor
* Habitability: 6

The planet is geologically dead, meaning their are no volcanic eruptions or tectonic movements.

===Native Lifeforms===

The vertebrate forms of life here are trilateral (3-sides), with a maximum six limbs. They have evolved to be quite complex creatures, some approaching natural chimpanzee or dolphin levels of intelligence. Note that without considerable processing, wildlife will not give any nutritional value. However, a genus of fish-analogues has become a local delicacy, going so far as to export it to other worlds.

===Settlement===

New America is a colony, first settled in 2125 mostly by disgruntled Americans, believing their government was too corrupt and wishing to start again on a new world.

* Population: 115,000
* Technology Level: 10
* Control Rating: 4 (Controlled)
* Economic Situation: Average
* Starport: Class II Frontier
* Known Installations: Nature Preserve, Small Patrol Base
* Trade Codes: Agricultural, Non-Industrial

The colony has a representative democracy. At the top is the President and his Advisory Board, appointed into power by the other two branches of government, subject to a hearing by the other branch. The other two branches are Congress and the Senate acting as legislative councils; and the Supreme Court a small council of 6. The two lower branches are appointed via election, the Senate and Congress having fixed terms (Senate slightly longer) and SC elections happening when they come up. However, only those born on the planet can vote for these two. Not that that matters, as immigration is quick here.

Perhaps the most shocking thing about the planet is its lack of welfare and social security, spending only the bare minimum. People are encouraged to spend, save and care for themselves, and extend that to those they care about. Most spending goes toward maintaining the system's defence force.

The colony is known for its spectacular gemstones, allowed to be under pressure for millions of years, not moving thanks to the lack of geologic movement. From its life forms, the colonists have found its plantlife makes good pharmaceuticals and, as mentioned above, a type of fish-analogue is exported to other systems for food.

===Pantropics===

As terraforming is unethical, humans have had to change themselves to cope with the cold climate and high carbon dioxide. The transgenic modifications to cope with the former have left 'NuAmericans' naturally fat with insulating blubber (which offers some protection at a cost to reaction speed). The filter lungs have also slowed their natural repair systems. Here is their template:

PC: 0, MC: $50,000

BA: DX-1 [-20]

Advantages: DR 4 [20], Filter Lungs [5], and Temperature Tolerance 3 (Cold) [3]

Features: Home Gravity 0.91 G, Home Pressure 0.97, and Temperature Range 5 – 90 F

Disadvantages: Fat [-3], Slow Healing 1 [-5]

==Reagan==

==Lincoln==
* Climate: Cold/Chilly
* Resources: Poor
* Habitability: 6

The planet is geologically dead, meaning their are no volcanic eruptions or tectonic movements.

===Native Lifeforms===

===Settlement===

New America is a colony, first settled in 2125 mostly by disgruntled Americans, believing their government was too corrupt and wishing to start again on a new world.

* Population: 115,000
* Technology Level: 10
* Control Rating: 4 (Controlled)
* Economic Situation: Average
* Starport: Class II Frontier
* Known Installations: Nature Preserve, Small Patrol Base
* Trade Codes: Agricultural, Non-Industrial

===Pantropics===

==Reagan==
An earth-sized icy planet.

An alternate D20 system designed to solve all of those aspects of D20 that irritated people. It has a skill based feat system and a Class Framework instead of a hundred classes that allows players to create any kind of character they want.
