Tyree Bush-Kendrick is an Army brat. Well more specifically he is a son of an engineer employed by the United States Air Force. Tyree&#039;s mom was not in the picture. His father, Samuel, was away in his developmental years.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A lot.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Tyree kid spent his time skateboarding and getting into trouble around the base. Each time more and more pressure was put upon his father by superior officers who were displeased with his boy&#039;s behavior.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
And so, what would usually end up happening would be that his father would be reassigned. And they would have to move. Time and time again, Tyree recalls packing up his materials until finally he pared everything down to a single backpack. It was easier that way. Thankfully, the Air Force never fired his father; whatever he did for them was far too important.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Eventually, though, enough was enough. In order to toughen him up a bit and teach some discipline, Tyree&#039;s father put him into a boot camp program that met on the base... the kind for troubled youth from the nearby communities. It straightened him out. It also gave him purpose and a desire to actually join the armed forces. He wants to make his father proud now.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Strange things began happening at the base though just before his father was transferred to Arkham. His dad was still gone for long hours and was stressed out working on projects that he could not discuss. One afternoon even, a soldier lost his temper in a card game and really hurt some of his friends. He did things to the other troops that no one should be able to do... And everyone cleaned it up and looked the other way.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mere days later, his father was reassigned to Arkham, Massachusetts.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Tyree wants to know why, though. He knows that there was something going on. Things are stressful around the house now, worse than ever. He actually enjoys school because it gets him out of the house.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He&#039;s not the smartest kid in the world. He&#039;s not exactly a jock, either, although he could hold his own; unfortunately the only thing the bases ever had was baseball - nothing that would actually bring about significant physical contact of any kind. He&#039;s a bit socially awkward, but a lot of that stems from moving too many times. He&#039;d really just like to fit in and stop being the &amp;quot;new kid&amp;quot; every where he goes. He really wishes his hair would grow out just a bit, but with the short military style that he was forced to maintain and a mixed heritage (a white mother and a black father), his hair just doesn&#039;t grow as quickly as he&#039;d like - or in the ways he&#039;d like.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div&gt;Sahnket had always been a curious youth, but as a saying goes that has been carried down through countless ages, &amp;quot;curiosity kills the cat.&amp;quot; What a cat is, or was, is now long lost to the people of the current world, but apparently the old warning still rings true.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sahnket was living proof.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
While trailing after his beast of burden that was helping to plow his father&#039;s field early one morning, Sahnket was awoken from his daydreaming when he nearly stumbled over something that the simple plow had unearthed. In all actuality, there were two &amp;quot;somethings&amp;quot; when he actually bent to investigate. They looked to him like elongated, metallic vegetables - like the orange ones that occasionally grew wildly in the hills around the village. They were bulbous on one end and tapered to a narrow and quite sharp point on the other end. Picking them up, one in each hand, he noticed how warm they felt. He was surprised when they each began to vibrate, too.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The vibration was so low that at first he thought he was imaging the sound, but eventually it became a whine, and the hairs on his forearms began to stand on end. Little sparks began to leap from one item to the other across the short distance he held them apart...&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
... and then he tried it. He connected the bulbous ends.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The resounding explosion killed his father&#039;s beast of burden and set the fields aflame. To those who were in the village at the same time, they claimed that the sky opened itself up and bright blue bolts of &amp;quot;anger from the heavens&amp;quot; struck the ground - right at the very spot that Sahnket was standing.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When the boy awoke, he was lying in a crater in the middle of the field. Most of his clothing had been singed away, and the stench of burnt flesh and hair was sickeningly strong on the wind. He was afraid to poke and prod himself at first, but when he discovered that he was untouched - almost completely unharmed (and that the smell was ultimately coming from what was left of his father&#039;s beast) - he was overjoyed.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Except that he also discovered that his hands had taken on the same metallic sheen of the two strange items. And that his skin was now tinged a very light blue. And all of his body hair had been completely removed. But other than that, he was in perfect health. His body, especially his muscles, felt a little jumpy, as though a current of some kind was flowing through him, and he was afraid of what the members of the village would say when they saw him. Thankfully he was accepted, but he quickly became an oddity. Word spread about his condition and although the world was full of the strange and unusual, Sahnket was the most unusual thing to his own people.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Eventually being the village oddity grew old, and discovering that he had discovered some strange abilities with his accident, Sahnket received his parents&#039; blessing to make his way into the world in order to ply his trade in the hopes of making enough money to change his family&#039;s living situation.&lt;br /&gt;

When the boy awoke, he was lying in a crater in the middle of the field. Most of his clothing had been singed away, and the stench of burnt flesh and hair was sickeningly strong on the wind. He was afraid to poke and prod himself at first, but when he discovered that he was untouched - almost completely unharmed (and that the smell was ultimately coming from what was left of his father&#039;s beast) - he was overjoyed.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Except that he also discovered that his hands had taken on the same metallic sheen of the two strange items. And that his skin was now tinged a very light blue. And all of his body hair had been completely removed. But other than that, he was in perfect health. His body, especially his muscles, felt a little jumpy, as though a current of some kind was flowing through him, and he was afraid of what the members of the village would say when they saw him. Thankfully he was accepted, but he quickly became an oddity. Word spread about his condition and although the world was full of the strange and unusual, Sahnket was the most unusual thing to his own people.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Eventually being the village oddity grew old, and discovering that he had discovered some strange abilities with his accident, Sahnket received his parents&#039; blessing to make his way into the world in order to ply his trade in the hopes of making enough money to change his family&#039;s living situation.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>

Characters who show a great distrust for their supernatural abilities are likely those who would Defy their curse. Seeking to change one&#039;s nature, or resisting their Hindrances, also shows progress towards Defiance. Neglecting enhanced powers through Witchbreed Edges, or using skill and training instead of monstrous power is an indicator as well. And especially, above all else, to aid others and convince them through proof of deed that no matter how you look, that you are truly human underneath, is one of the greatest steps towards shattering the curse.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>

Defiance causes you to become weaker, but also makes you more human, until finally you throw off the curse completely and shatter the Witchmark, becoming human once again with a a few bonuses.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>

Snowy &#039;&#039;&#039;Steppengrad&#039;&#039;&#039;, now ruled by the cruel and cunning &#039;&#039;&#039;Baba Yaga&#039;&#039;&#039;. &lt;br /&gt;

And finally great forested &#039;&#039;&#039;Valkenholm&#039;&#039;&#039;, now ruled by the Countess &#039;&#039;&#039;Sanguinara&#039;&#039;&#039;, the Blood Witch.&lt;br /&gt;

These are the most prevalent places in all of Morden, and these six Witches hold them firmly in their grasp.&lt;br /&gt;

Only two Witches keep to themselves: the Dark Queen &#039;&#039;&#039;Hecate&#039;&#039;&#039;, who keeps within her fortress in the Darkfall Peaks and keeps the Witches in communication, and &#039;&#039;&#039;Melusine&#039;&#039;&#039; the Gorgon, whom no one has ever been able to find. Behind these mighty and terrible warriors came the &#039;&#039;&#039;Banes&#039;&#039;&#039;, once normal beasts twisted into horrible mockeries of their mortal forms by Witch magic. Finally, there were mortal mercenaries — men of negotiable valor from the exotic lands of the Sakurada Shogunate and Nordheim far across the roiling sea. These mercenaries provided cavalry, light infantry, siege infantry, and other more support oriented military tasks that the Witches saw as beneath them or their chosen warriors. Paid in blood-stained gold and promised land, plunder, and power in the lands of Morden, these corrupt men gladly fought shield to shield with the &#039;&#039;&#039;Accursed&#039;&#039;&#039; for a handful of silver.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
