Rakku is not the &#039;hard work and dedication pays off&#039; type of guy. He looks for, and takes, the shortcut whenever it presents itself. This aspect gets compelled when there is an easy, if more dangerous, or less-diplomatic, or less-honorable way to accomplish a goal. Invoking isn&#039;t likely, unless he&#039;s in a situation where people around him are making things more difficult than they need to be.&lt;br /&gt;

Rakku has been in almost every dive, smuggler&#039;s cove and seedy bar in Orion space, the Neutral Zone, parts of the Federation and Klingon empire. He has a reputation. Sometimes this is good, sometimes bad, but never dull. While Rakku might invoke this aspect to have friends in a port, or to know his way around, it could just as easily be compelled when he&#039;s made enemies. It&#039;s entirely possible for it to work both ways in the same place.&lt;br /&gt;

During his years at the academy, Rakku posted above average grades while never being convicted of grade tampering, running an illegal gambling casino, Tholian slug-fighting ring, off-track betting operation, contraband cuisine restaurant, house of prostitution or illegal orphanage. He partnered with the Wife of Admiral Garvey to win the Rumba championship in 2255 and 56. Rakku will invoke this to usually come out of a deal with &#039;&#039;something,&#039;&#039; even if it isn&#039;t what he wanted. It will get compelled on him in the all too likely event he&#039;s trying to do too much at once.&lt;br /&gt;

During a disastrous first voyage Rakku&#039;s commanding officer looked past his shortcomings and trusted him to come through for the ship. Rakku learned to lead men, rather than bargain for their service. A valuable lesson that set him apart from his Orion brethren. This aspect will be compelled when he&#039;s tempted to be mercenary, or to betray someone to his advantage. He might invoke it, however, when he steps up and actually embodies the Starfleet ideal.&lt;br /&gt;

It is two years after the destruction of Vulcan and the United Federation of Planets is on the verge of disaster. Nero cut through the Federation without mercy, he destroyed their fleets and the Vulcan homeworld. The loss of the Vulcan people has devastated the Federation politically and economically but it&#039;s also made the people lose faith in the Federation and what it stands for. Now many member world&#039;s are all considering leaving the Federation all together! Even the Andorians, one of the founding members of the Federation are considering abandoning it.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In it&#039;s weakened state the Federation&#039;s enemies are closing in: the Klingon&#039;s flagrantly break agreed upon treaties, the Gorn have begun colonising along the federation&#039;s border and the number of Orion raiding parties in federation space has skyrocketed. With too few men, and support from other federation worlds drying up Starfleet needs to show it can still do it&#039;s job, it needs to make people believe in the ideals of the Federation once again.&lt;br /&gt;
 &lt;br /&gt;
Old ships are being pulled out of mothballs and pressed into service. Crewmen too are being dragged out of retirement or promoted younger then ever before. The need for skilled crew is so bad that many are being recruited however shady their pasts. The admiralty aren&#039;t content to sit around and watch the federation crumble, they know that Starfleet needs to inspire hope in federation citizens no matter the dark times they find themselves. These are the voyages of one of those ships, it&#039;s continuing mission to seek out new life and new civilisation, to boldy go where no man has gone before&lt;br /&gt;

Levi is a sophomore at the University of Washington, studying computer science on a track and field scholarship. He grew up in Minnesota, and has two sisters, one older, one younger. His family is very religious, especially his mother, and his faith is strong as well -- he&#039;s active in campus christian life, as well as his fraternity. Levi pledged Phi Gamma Delta last year, and lives in the fraternity house just of campus, along with almost 100 fraternity brothers. His powers began manifesting themselves after a finals party this past spring, and he&#039;s spent three months trying to figure out what to do. His faith tells him he should use his ability, but to do so openly would jeopardize his scholarship and his education.&lt;br /&gt;
