Dr. Schmitz didn't want a job that could teach kids something destructive, or remind everyone of the 'cool' destruction she had caused. Concordia got a new reply back later with a request for a position as an art teacher, however, as Ethel realized it was an opportunity to teach others a subject she enjoyed (something productive and helpful to the students (something that makes up for previous choices)) and replace the image of her past role with something else.

Ethel distrusted and picked fights with Althea Swyfte in school due to Dr. Swyfte's parentage (and possibly because of her rapport with Edmonds), constantly looking for signs of betrayal. Ethel desperately wants to wipe the slate clean and befriend Althea to atone and compensate for past actions.

Ethel naturally gravitated to and was close friends with Edmonds Longfellow, but this was this was strained by his relationship with Althea and never fully recovered. Schmitz has tried to keep in touch on and off throughout the years but been too embarrassed and stubborn to apologize.

Dr. Schmitz quietly looked up to Forrest Doegesit as a 'cool kid' and an expert in charms, blind to most of his flaws and defensive of the claims against him and his family. Ethel didn't like the way he bullied Edmonds, but tried to convince herself that they 'just didn't get along' and that it wasn't just one-sided bigotry. In the same situation now, Schmitz would realize these problems, but never analyzed this part of the past and still has a fond association with Forrest himself.

Back to [[Concordia]], one of the most prominent wizarding schools in the world, founded 1800 years ago, teaching the Magical Laws to wizards from the British Isles and foreigners abiding to the Roman rule.

Back to [[Concordia]] after the battle against the three Morrigan sisters and their followers, your classmates, 20 years ago, where two of them perished, and the third one, the Phantom Queen, who was cast away into a dimensional rift, bringing with her Erik Carter, the Saviors’ leader, your leader, and the arch chamberlain’s son.

Since then, the few Morrigans’ followers’ cells that remained were witch hunted, with some of those of those followers being given a second chance, some of them even being now important members of Concordia and of the wizard community in general.

One thing is sure : now the mortal world knows about the existence of wizards, magic, and the Saviors, treating them like celebrities.

After your battle against the Morrigans, in the wizarding community some of you experienced fame, some others infamy as you weren’t able to cope with the horrors from the past.

Back to [[Concordia]], not as student but as teacher now, about to mentor a new generation of wizards and witches, along with your fellow Saviors, except Erik Carter.

* Titus feels very guilty over the weapons of war that he built during the conflict and the people that they killed - both enemy and innocent.

| '''Backstory:''' Titus was a pure scholarship student - almost a charity case. His family, which has produced a few school graduates but no one outstanding, had fallen in socioeconomic status generations ago and seemingly fallen from magical talent as well. But, the residue of the always-marginal Leighton name and Titus's real (though apparently meager) talents were just enough for him to squeak into Concordia.

Then came his first magical crafting class, which revealed or unlocked his true magical talent: creating magical devices and artifacts. For all that he may lack in ability with spontaneous evocation, he's a once-in-a-generation, probably once-in-a-century, maybe once-in-a-millenia crafter. The talent served him and his friends well in the conflict with the Morrigan.

He returned to Concordia to teach because he feels a great deal of guilt over some of what he and his devices did during the conflict, and he seeks to expiate that through teaching the next generation of wizards to exercise more responsibility with their workings.

Titus has romantic feelings toward Althea, but this is complicated both by her former relationship with Edmonds (who Titus despises) and the conflict between Althea and Ethel (who is Titus's best friend in the group), so he's never acted on them. This skein of issues has led to a sort of mutual awkwardness.

Titus blames Edmonds for many of the deaths during the conflict, and in fact thinks that Edmonds may have orchestrated or allowed the deaths of others to save his (Edmonds') own hide after prophesying dangers directed at himself. He'd see Edmonds cast out from Concordia if he had enough influence to do it.

Titus regards Forrest as everything that is wrong with Concordia - a person getting by on their family history and reaping all sorts of undeserved praise. Titus is sure that the resentment runs both ways regarding his own background.

Ethel and Titus don't seem like a natural fit, but their mutual (though quite different) outsider status in fact makes them very good friends and allies.

Titus has tried his best to stick by Danny through his recovery - the two were fairly good friends before the conflict, and Titus is unreservedly a fan of Danny's sports heroics - but Danny's continued attempts to push Titus away are starting to wear on the relationship.

Titus was lucky to have Hepsy in the same class in school: she drew the attention of much of the schoolyard ire that would likely otherwise have been directed at him. He feels like he owes her something for this, and has tried to help her out when he can.

Althea's younger brother was part of Hepsy's band of bullies and Hepsy was alternately trying to befriend Althea and teasing her to show who was on top.

Edmonds' foresight allowed him to see the truth of Hepsy's repudiation of the Morrigans and he was one of few who believed her from the start. She is still intensely grateful.

Hepsy clashed with Forrest several times during their school years, their families' different positions on the Morrigans used as cover for their own popularity contests.

Ethel never trusted Hepsy, even after Ethel's family took Hepsy in when she fled her own after they had openly pledged themselves to the Morrigans. Hepsy found Ethel in turn a pathetic nerd and brown noser barely worth tormenting, a self-righteous suck-up, a horror to share a house with, and finally an unexpectedly gracious not-quite-but-could-become friend in that year before Hepsy left for her old family home.

Basically, Hepsy is ashamed of how she treated Ethel before, but she hadn't reconciled the bookish nerd with the fierce fighter before they were parted, and meeting her again in Concordia after not seeing her for so many years has stirred up old complicated feelings.

Dynadan was the object of Hepsy's youthful infatuation, and she still has feelings for him.

Danny was always there to cheer Edmonds up when he got into a dark spell, and Edmonds returned the favour a bit while Danny slowly recovered. Danny’s fatalism has the effect of him not blaming the diviner for letting that fight unfold the way it had to.

Forrest and Danny were friendly when Danny was a star athlete, but Forrest has avoided the broken coach since. Danny has given up on Forrest.

Danny thinks Ethel should be more proud, and Ethel dislikes that Danny teaches teenage boys how to hit each other with glowing sticks.

Ethel distrusted and picked fights with Althea Swyfte in school due to Dr. Swyfte's parentage (and possibly because of her rapport with Edmonds), constantly looking for signs of betrayal. Ethel desperately wants to wipe the slate clean and befriend Althea to atone and compensate for past actions.

Ethel naturally gravitated to and was close friends with Edmonds Longfellow, but this was this was strained by his relationship with Althea and never fully recovered. Schmitz has tried to keep in touch on and off throughout the years but been too embarrassed and stubborn to apologize.

Dr. Schmitz quietly looked up to Forrest Doegesit as a 'cool kid' and an expert in charms, blind to most of his flaws and defensive of the claims against him and his family. Ethel didn't like the way he bullied Edmonds, but tried to convince herself that they 'just didn't get along' and that it wasn't just one-sided bigotry. In the same situation now, Schmitz would realize these problems, but never analyzed this part of the past and still has a fond association with Forrest himself.

The loss of Erik, as well as the (mostly positive) press about the havoc the summoner wrought caused Ethel to distance herself from her previous work and use her skills for constructive or artistic projects.

The school originally offered the wizard a job as a Professor of Conjuration, but they were rebuffed. Dr. Schmitz didn't want a job that could teach kids something destructive, or remind everyone of the 'cool' destruction she had caused. Concordia got a new reply back later with a request for a position as an art teacher, however, as Ethel realized it was an opportunity to teach others a subject she enjoyed (something productive and helpful to the students (something that makes up for previous choices)) and replace the image of her past role with something else.

Ethel distrusted and picked fights with Althea Swyfte in school due to Dr. Swyfte's parentage (and possibly because of her rapport with Edmonds), constantly looking for signs of betrayal. Ethel desperately wants to wipe the slate clean and befriend Althea to atone and compensate for past actions.

Ethel naturally gravitated to and was close friends with Edmonds Longfellow, but this was this was strained by his relationship with Althea and never fully recovered. Schmitz has tried to keep in touch on and off throughout the years but been too embarrassed and stubborn to apologize.

Dr. Schmitz quietly looked up to Forrest Doegesit as a 'cool kid' and an expert in charms, blind to most of his flaws and defensive of the claims against him and his family. Ethel didn't like the way he bullied Edmonds, but tried to convince herself that they 'just didn't get along' and that it wasn't just one-sided bigotry. In the same situation now, Schmitz would realize these problems, but never analyzed this part of the past and still has a fond association with Forrest himself.

Back to [[Concordia]] after the battle against the three Morrigan sisters and their followers, your classmates, 20 years ago, where two of them perished, and the third one, the Phantom Queen, who was cast away into a dimensional rift, bringing with her Erik Carter, the Saviors’ leader, your leader, and the arch chamberlain’s son.

Ethel naturally gravitated to and was close friends with Edmonds Longfellow, but this was this was strained by his relationship with Althea and never fully recovered. Schmitz has tried to keep in touch on and off throughout the years but been too embarrassed and stubborn to apologize.

Dr. Schmitz quietly looked up to Forrest Doegesit as a 'cool kid' and an expert in charms, blind to most of his flaws and defensive of the claims against him and his family. Ethel didn't like the way he bullied Edmonds, but tried to convince herself that they 'just didn't get along' and that it wasn't just one-sided bigotry. Althea's younger brother was part of Hepsy's band of bullies and Hepsy was alternately trying to befriend Althea and teasing her to show who was on top.

Edmonds' foresight allowed him to see the truth of Hepsy's repudiation of the Morrigans and he was one of few who believed her from the start. She is still intensely grateful.

Hepsy clashed with Forrest several times during their school years, their families' different positions on the Morrigans used as cover for their own popularity contests.

Ethel never trusted Hepsy, even after Ethel's family took Hepsy in when she fled her own after they had openly pledged themselves to the Morrigans. Hepsy found Ethel in turn a pathetic nerd and brown noser barely worth tormenting, a self-righteous suck-up, a horror to share a house with, and finally an unexpectedly gracious not-quite-but-could-become friend in that year before Hepsy left for her old family home.

Basically, Hepsy is ashamed of how she treated Ethel before, but she hadn't reconciled the bookish nerd with the fierce fighter before they were parted, and meeting her again in Concordia after not seeing her for so many years has stirred up old complicated feelings.

Dynadan was the object of Hepsy's youthful infatuation, and she still has feelings for him.

His family, which has produced a few school graduates but no one outstanding, had fallen in socioeconomic status generations ago and seemingly fallen from magical talent as well. But, the residue of the always-marginal Leighton name and Titus's real (though apparently meager) talents were just enough for him to squeak into Concordia.

Then came his first magical crafting class, which revealed or unlocked his true magical talent: creating magical devices and artifacts. The talent served him and his friends well in the conflict with the Morrigan.

Titus has romantic feelings toward Althea, but this is complicated both by her former relationship with Edmonds (who Titus despises) and the conflict between Althea and Ethel (who is Titus's best friend in the group), so he's never acted on them. This skein of issues has led to a sort of mutual awkwardness.

Titus blames Edmonds for many of the deaths during the conflict, and in fact thinks that Edmonds may have orchestrated or allowed the deaths of others to save his (Edmonds') own hide after prophesying dangers directed at himself. He'd see Edmonds cast out from Concordia if he had enough influence to do it.

Titus regards Forrest as everything that is wrong with Concordia - a person getting by on their family history and reaping all sorts of undeserved praise. Titus is sure that the resentment runs both ways regarding his own background.

Ethel and Titus don't seem like a natural fit, but their mutual (though quite different) outsider status in fact makes them very good friends and allies.

Titus has tried his best to stick by Danny through his recovery - the two were fairly good friends before the conflict, and Titus is unreservedly a fan of Danny's sports heroics - but Danny's continued attempts to push Titus away are starting to wear on the relationship.

Titus was lucky to have Hepsy in the same class in school: she drew the attention of much of the schoolyard ire that would likely otherwise have been directed at him. He feels like he owes her something for this, and has tried to help her out when he can.

Ethel distrusted and picked fights with Althea Swyfte in school due to Dr. Swyfte's parentage (and possibly because of her rapport with Edmonds), constantly looking for signs of betrayal. Ethel desperately wants to wipe the slate clean and befriend Althea to atone and compensate for past actions.

Ethel naturally gravitated to and was close friends with Edmonds Longfellow, but this was this was strained by his relationship with Althea and never fully recovered. Schmitz has tried to keep in touch on and off throughout the years but been too embarrassed and stubborn to apologize.

Dr. Schmitz quietly looked up to Forrest Doegesit as a 'cool kid' and an expert in charms, blind to most of his flaws and defensive of the claims against him and his family. Ethel didn't like the way he bullied Edmonds, but tried to convince herself that they 'just didn't get along' and that it wasn't just one-sided bigotry. In the same situation now, Schmitz would realize these problems, but never analyzed this part of the past and still has a fond association with Forrest himself.

* Titus feels very guilty over the weapons of war that he built during the conflict and the people that they killed - both enemy and innocent.

| '''Backstory:''' Titus was a pure scholarship student - almost a charity case. His family, which has produced a few school graduates but no one outstanding, had fallen in socioeconomic status generations ago and seemingly fallen from magical talent as well. But, the residue of the always-marginal Leighton name and Titus's real (though apparently meager) talents were just enough for him to squeak into Concordia.

Then came his first magical crafting class, which revealed or unlocked his true magical talent: creating magical devices and artifacts. For all that he may lack in ability with spontaneous evocation, he's a once-in-a-generation, probably once-in-a-century, maybe once-in-a-millenia crafter. The talent served him and his friends well in the conflict with the Morrigan.

He returned to Concordia to teach because he feels a great deal of guilt over some of what he and his devices did during the conflict, and he seeks to expiate that through teaching the next generation of wizards to exercise more responsibility with their workings.

Titus has romantic feelings toward Althea, but this is complicated both by her former relationship with Edmonds (who Titus despises) and the conflict between Althea and Ethel (who is Titus's best friend in the group), so he's never acted on them. This skein of issues has led to a sort of mutual awkwardness.

Titus blames Edmonds for many of the deaths during the conflict, and in fact thinks that Edmonds may have orchestrated or allowed the deaths of others to save his (Edmonds') own hide after prophesying dangers directed at himself. He'd see Edmonds cast out from Concordia if he had enough influence to do it.

Titus regards Forrest as everything that is wrong with Concordia - a person getting by on their family history and reaping all sorts of undeserved praise. Titus is sure that the resentment runs both ways regarding his own background.

Ethel and Titus don't seem like a natural fit, but their mutual (though quite different) outsider status in fact makes them very good friends and allies.

Titus has tried his best to stick by Danny through his recovery - the two were fairly good friends before the conflict, and Titus is unreservedly a fan of Danny's sports heroics - but Danny's continued attempts to push Titus away are starting to wear on the relationship.

Titus was lucky to have Hepsy in the same class in school: she drew the attention of much of the schoolyard ire that would likely otherwise have been directed at him. He feels like he owes her something for this, and has tried to help her out when he can.

She doesn't need to be accepted by society at large, but she needs someone to see her for who she is and accept her.

Most of the other Saviors never trusted her, but her fierce fighting for their side in the final confrontation made her a darling of the public and won her some grudging acceptance from a rare few among the survivors.

Althea's younger brother was part of Hepsy's band of bullies and Hepsy was alternately trying to befriend Althea and teasing her to show who was on top.

Edmonds' foresight allowed him to see the truth of Hepsy's repudiation of the Morrigans and he was one of few who believed her from the start. She is still intensely grateful.

Hepsy clashed with Forrest several times during their school years, their families' different positions on the Morrigans used as cover for their own popularity contests.

Ethel never trusted Hepsy, even after Ethel's family took Hepsy in when she fled her own after they had openly pledged themselves to the Morrigans. Hepsy found Ethel in turn a pathetic nerd and brown noser barely worth tormenting, a self-righteous suck-up, a horror to share a house with, and finally an unexpectedly gracious not-quite-but-could-become friend in that year before Hepsy left for her old family home.

Basically, Hepsy is ashamed of how she treated Ethel before, but she hadn't reconciled the bookish nerd with the fierce fighter before they were parted, and meeting her again in Concordia after not seeing her for so many years has stirred up old complicated feelings.

Dynadan was the object of Hepsy's youthful infatuation, and she still has feelings for him.

*Dynadan was able to free himself from the paralysis of doubt by giving up on most of his goals in life. All that is left for him really is a desire to just... be. To feel he is where he is supposed to be.

| '''Backstory:''' Dynadan “Danny” Mather was a star athlete when he was a student: Captain of wizard staff team, and a starting forward on the salamander polo team. When the Morrigans first presented as a threat, he was one of the first to stand to oppose them… and one of the first they struck down. At the beginning of the first fight, he was dropped with a spell that literally paralyzed him with fear and insecurity. He recovered enough to help The Saviors by the final conflict, but the Danny everyone once knew was gone. Dynadan was now a man without hope nor fear, prone to bouts of fatalism.

Over the last five years or so, he’s increasingly taken control of his own life. There was an opening for wizard staff coach, and to his surprise, he both applied to it and got it. Unlike many of the Saviors, his “celebrity” is a bit ironic, as his name became synonymous for a time with a failure to realize one’s potential.

Althea is the only person who knows of Danny’s unrequited love of Erik before he passed. Because she knows, Danny avoids her and doesn’t trust her.

Danny was always there to cheer Edmonds up when he got into a dark spell, and Edmonds returned the favour a bit while Danny slowly recovered. Danny’s fatalism has the effect of him not blaming the diviner for letting that fight unfold the way it had to.

Forrest and Danny were friendly when Danny was a star athlete, but Forrest has avoided the broken coach since. Danny has given up on Forrest.

Danny thinks Ethel should be more proud, and Ethel dislikes that Danny teaches teenage boys how to hit each other with glowing sticks.

In other moods, he is giving but also tends to make people into projects to solve.

Dr. Schmitz wants to fix what she can (e.g. bad relationships), pay back to the world for what she can't (e.g. construction projects, teaching), and make everyone forget who she used to be. Including herself.

| '''Backstory:''' Ethel is an expert in the school of Conjuration. and excelled at it from a young age. She was a bookish, fiery, socially clueless nerd and a rabidly gung ho member of the Saviors at the beginning, but began to regret and question the damage she inflicted, and the harm that came to her and the other Saviors, afterwards. The loss of Erik, as well as the (mostly positive) press about the havoc the summoner wrought caused Ethel to distance herself from her previous work and use her skills for constructive or artistic projects.

The school originally offered the wizard a job as a Professor of Conjuration, but they were rebuffed. Dr. Schmitz didn't want a job that could teach kids something destructive, or remind everyone of the 'cool' destruction she had caused. Concordia got a new reply back later with a request for a position as an art teacher, however, as Ethel realized it was an opportunity to teach others a subject she enjoyed (something productive and helpful to the students (something that makes up for previous choices)) and replace the image of her past role with something else.

Ethel distrusted and picked fights with Althea Swyfte in school due to Dr. Swyfte's parentage (and possibly because of her rapport with Edmonds), constantly looking for signs of betrayal. Ethel desperately wants to wipe the slate clean and befriend Althea to atone and compensate for past actions.

Ethel naturally gravitated to and was close friends with Edmonds Longfellow, but this was this was strained by his relationship with Althea and never fully recovered. Schmitz has tried to keep in touch on and off throughout the years but been too embarrassed and stubborn to apologize.

Dr. Schmitz quietly looked up to Forrest Doegesit as a 'cool kid' and an expert in charms, blind to most of his flaws and defensive of the claims against him and his family. Ethel didn't like the way he bullied Edmonds, but tried to convince herself that they 'just didn't get along' and that it wasn't just one-sided bigotry. In the same situation now, Schmitz would realize these problems, but never analyzed this part of the past and still has a fond association with Forrest himself.
