Created by Shawn, this character is for [[User:Bill/The Last Best Hope|The Last Best Hope]].

==Klaus Von Wolfenbauch, Seen but not felt==

'''Physical Description:''' Klaus's features identify his German ancestry. While well dressed, his cloths have oil spots on them from his time as a mechanic. Although his current situation prevents such work, Klaus has failed to update his wardrobe since his change.

'''Education:''' Son of the esteemed weapons engineer Sebastion Von Wolfenbauch, Klaus received a first rate education. He has traveled to Europe to study, after which he returned to America to join his father's company. After a few years of field work, he was likely to be considered among the top engineers in America. With current situations the way they are, he has begun expanding his studies into extra-human abilities, with a focus into his own abilities and its drawbacks.

'''Occuption:''' An ex-weapons engineer, Klaus is now a member of the fourth Special Operations division of the United States Army.

'''Motivation:''' Klaus is motivated largely by the need to return himself to corporeal form. As the U.S. government has offered him funding for his research should he help the North win, he has committed himself to winning the war as quickly as possible so that he can get to work.

==Powers==

'''Description:''' Klaus is permanently Incorporeal. While this initially made him immune to physical harm, it also prevented him from harming others or even manipulating mundane items. See Advancements and Changes below.

'''Origins:''' Sent by his father to show a new weapon, known as a "missile" (see attached file) to a number of ranking officers in the Northern army, Klaus's powers manifested when the weapon malfunctioned. The malfunction resulted in the weapon exploding, killing all military personal attending, the mechanical personal, as well as many nearby civilians. Klaus, however, was found among the derby, completely unharmed. Unable to interact with the world around him, Klaus was taken into military medical jurisdiction, where he has remained until the forming of the Special Operations Divisions.

'''Advancements and Changes:''' Through concentration and effort, Klaus is able to hold and manipulate objects for short periods of time. He has also been able to store some items on his person, leaving them incorporeal for a time. However, the more things he attempts to do at once, the more likely it is that some or all of the items will return to corporeal state, leaving him unable to touch them.

He has also learned to damage people by semi-reforming while within their bodies. While he is by no means a skilled combatant, this ability requires little skill, simply relying on touching the person. Klaus has suggested in his own research that this may have something to do with the electrical systems within a human being. Such research has yet to be verified by any scientist of notable regard.

Unfortunately, Klaus's attempts to regain corporeal form have also rendered him more and more susceptible to damage by corporeal means. Although still difficult to harm, he has been known to be affected on occasion.

==Notes==
Klaus's "Always On" has prevents him from doing normally easy tasks without a roll. Instead, whenever he wishes to interact with objects or people, he must pass a normally simple roll. For simple single actions, Klaus is considered to pass due to the wiggle dice he has. For multiple simple actions, he must roll two sets, one of which will be a success due to the wiggle dice, the other he will need to roll. This has obvious consequences for almost anything he wishes to do.

==Introduction==
The [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Civil_War American Civil War] represented a turning point in the history of our nation. Brother faced brother in in a battle of ideals and economics. No war before or since has taken a greater toll in American lives because casualties on both sides of this conflict were Americans. Against this backdrop our story is set.

==A Difference==
Beginning at [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Chancellorsville Chancelorsville] something strange began to happen. In situations that would lead to their deaths a small few men and women exhibited phenomenal abilities beyond those of other men. Men struck by cannon-fire were left unharmed and others trapped by collapsing fortifications were miraculously able to life the broken masonry off their fellows. In the north these people have been gathered by the union into small units known as special operations divisions under the command of the Department of Extranormal Affairs. Our story will focus on the 4th Special Operations division of the United States Army.

The impact of these superhuman individuals has not changed the course of the war overall. These men and women fight on both sides of the conflict and the balance is maintained. Our stories will focus on the battles that involve them and the drama that is shaped by them.

==Player Characters==
Characters for this game are talents. They discover within themselves an amazing power without which they surely would have perished. Unlike many superhero games where the powers are determined by the players' choices this game utilizes a random power generation scheme. Each player is dealt three cards. On each card is printed the name of a miracle, an extra, and a flaw. The players were then instructed to choose one of the powers and apply any combination of extras and flaws appearing on the cards to it; minimum one extra and one flaw. This has promoted a certain type of creativity in the players. Building the powers in this manner results in unexpected combinations.

==Powers==

==Notes==

==Notes==

==Introduction==

==A Difference==

==Player Characters==
