One that maybe wasn&#039;t the best at choosing what would be an appropriate story for our age range at the time. We both got very engrossed in something very spooky. At one point, the storyteller reached a very scary part in the story. Taman grabbed Eliseach&#039;s hand without thinking. Eliseach&#039;s was startled by her hand being grabbed and yelped. I mean, search and rescue alone. After a major earthquake somewhere in the world, how many more lives could be saved with a team of ten people wearing mechanical arms like his helping to search through the rubble of collapsed buildings? So I decided to try and make a prototype version. A better version. Not to disparage the Doctor&#039;s creation, but he was better known as a nuclear physicist when he created them, and my expertise is in robotics. I was sure that if I got my hands on a set of schematics for the Doctor&#039;s arms, I could find numerous ways to improve upon their design. And I was right. But I may have underestimated the level of security Doctor Octopus had put in place to safeguard his designs. And I may have also underestimated the level of precautions needed to prevent a fusion between the user and the prototype (although I will note that I did have more safeguards in place than Doctor Octavious did when he had his accident).&lt;br /&gt;
So now I find myself in a similar position to a man that chose a dark path when his life was dramatically changed. To paraphrase Frost, I shall choose the path less traveled by, and hope to make a difference.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;

After a major earthquake somewhere in the world, how many more lives could be saved with a team of ten people wearing mechanical arms like his helping to search through the rubble of collapsed buildings? So I decided to try and make a prototype version. A better version. Not to disparage the Doctor&#039;s creation, but he was better known as a nuclear physicist when he created them, and my expertise is in robotics. I was sure that if I got my hands on a set of schematics for the Doctor&#039;s arms, I could find numerous ways to improve upon their design. And I was right. The Wardells have been Aurors in the Chicago land area since the very early 1900s.  On the whole, they haven&#039;t been remarkable.  But they don&#039;t need to be.  They&#039;re job is to protect the Mag world from those that attempt to use dark knowledge for power and personal gains.  One doesn&#039;t need to earn glory for doing the right thing.  The first couple all chose to follow in the family career because that&#039;s what they wanted to do.  By the time George Wardell joined the force, it was practically expected by the family (although George probably would have attempted to join on his own without the family legacy).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So there is a lot of pressure on the latest member of the family to attend Wildmore academy.  Steven Wardell knows that his family expects him to get good grades so he can apply for Auror training once he&#039;s graduated.  And Steven does want to get good grades.  Good grades will probably help him get a good job doing anything other than becoming an Auror.  Not that he would tell his family that.  At least not yet.  So for his first four years, Steven did what what was expected of him.  Even now in his fifth year, where more elective class options became available, he&#039;s taking the classes that are expected of someone that wants to go into magical law enforcement. The Wardells have been Aurors in the Chicago land area since the very early 1900s.  On the whole, they haven&#039;t been remarkable.  But they don&#039;t need to be.  They&#039;re job is to protect the Mag world from those that attempt to use dark knowledge for power and personal gains.  One doesn&#039;t need to earn glory for doing the right thing.  The first couple all chose to follow in the family career because that&#039;s what they wanted to do.  By the time George Wardell joined the force, it was practically expected by the family (although George probably would have attempted to join on his own without the family legacy).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So there is a lot of pressure on the latest member of the family to attend Wildmore academy.  Steven Wardell knows that his family expects him to get good grades so he can apply for Auror training once he&#039;s graduated.  And Steven does want to get good grades.  Good grades will probably help him get a good job doing anything other than becoming an Auror.  Not that he would tell his family that.  At least not yet.  So for his first four years, Steven did what what was expected of him.  Even now in his fifth year, where more elective class options became available, he&#039;s taking the classes that are expected of someone that wants to go into magical law enforcement.  Over his time at Wildmore, he&#039;s earned a reputation for being helpful to his fellow students, regardless of their hearth.  And he was able to keep his family&#039;s history a secret until last year, when Michelle Erekson (his dad&#039;s partner&#039;s daughter) started her first year.&lt;br /&gt;

:Watch is an old Warforged scout that came online about 25 years ago. His batch was one of the first designed who&#039;s primary focus was not front line combat for the war. He received the same training as the rest of his batch, but it quickly became apparent that while the rest excelled at the stealth skills necessary to scout behind enemy lines Watch excelled at picking up on small details and noticing when things were not going as expected. After his brief training was up, he spent most of the war pulling guard duty on supply convoys for the front lines.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
:With the end of the war, Watch figured the best way to continue doing what he had spent his whole life doing was to become another guard, this time with the city watch. His superiors were surprised with his investigative skills, expecting the warforged to just be another skilled fighter like most were designed to be. He was quickly assigned to the investigations unit, where he was partnered with Zarkoth. It was quickly apparent to Watch that Zarkoth was not happy with this arrangement. Watch did what he could to try to alleviate the tension he felt, like letting Zarkoth take lead on most of their cases.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
:After the Khyber smuggling case, their relationship has much improved. They&#039;ve reached a point where adapted to each other&#039;s quirks and work really well together. So much so that when Zarkoth decided to start working for Noggin&#039;s Discrete Investigations, Watch decided to join him.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
