House Sfika (SFEE-kuh) is a new, and still very tentative ally of House Erinyes. Initially warned off by the elders of House Orestes, and wary of repercussions by House Tartaros, cementing this alliance has been a difficult prospect, and in the works for years. The alliance was recently solidified when one of Erinyes' Scions, Megaera the Bard, was given to them as a gift.

House Sfika is known for its massive gladitorial arenas, and the power housed within its stables. Until very recently, they boasted a resident Thri-kreen gladiator who was undefeated. The untimely death of Ka'Tho was tragic, but also allowed them to recruit Harbek, who single-handedly defeated all of the House Orestes stables.
Twin Scions of Sfika, these two are known to get rather close with each other. Before Teles' ball, Alecto and Megaera revealed this, and also that Sfika uses rather underhanded processes to feed the gladiators in their stables. Alecto and Megaera are also under the impression that Sfika sandbagged their last fight for sovereignty, but the truth of this is not known for certain.

Noble House Värnamo, "First House of Tyr" is currently the most powerful house in Tyr. Skilled in the Way to a ridiculous degree, there are secrets that no one else has (and are desperate to steal). Legendarily loyal to Kalak. While they have a not insignificant military presence there are very few Värnamo left after the recent ascent of Kalak and the resulting wars.

Economy
Värnamo have large fertile land holdings, a small iron mine, a number of oases and the right to tax one of the causeways into Tyr. Their holdings are amongst the most profitable of any house.

Military
House Värnamo also contributes the best soldiers to the Grand Army of Tyr. The "black legion" is an extremely well equipped force that centers around a heavy infantry core with varied "auxiliaries" (archers, scouts, skirmishers, and cavalry). While decimated during the wars following Kalak's ascendency the "Black Legion" is still considered vital to the Grand Army of Tyr.

Political
There is no single faction in Tyr outside the Templarate of Kalak more powerful than house Värnamo. That said the very small number of actual members is proving problematic.

Known Goals
* Maintaining their position.
* Finding a suitable match for their princess Teles.

Vargo Teras: /* Joe (Vargo Teras) */

Oy, a Discussion Page! Some of you are familiar with this whole Wiki thing from the Orichalcum Handbasket Campaign. There are some things that have changed, or rather are just more clarified, as far as what we need to do and what the etiquette is, so do MJ's OCD a favor and read through this whole page, even if it seems devilishly familiar, okay?

Campaign Wiki How-to
This page is where we can keep track of who's doing what to make this campaign wiki a whole lot more awesome. Just looking at all of the pages and the recently edited things isn't really enough information about what's been done.

I've added a subsection for everyone under their name, so we can keep track of who's done what, and know what's new to check out, etc. If you'll note the parentheses after Joe and MJ, that's our Wiki Login Names. That's what shows up when we edit a page. You need to register and get one of these, and then go ahead and add it here when you have it!

Remember that our goal here is to keep track of what happens in game as well as to make it a resource for things we need to actually play the game. Go have fun with the wiki-goodness, but please remember to Sign In before editing any pages! Just seeing an IP address (a series of numbers that looks like 111.22.33.444) is no fun when trying to figure out who did what.

If you're not comfortable doing any actual editing on the wiki, feel free to send your content to MJ, and she'll make sure it gets up on the wiki. It might take the whole week for it to get up, but she'll do her best to get it up before the next game.

Creating and Editing Pages
You'll all find that your character names on the Main Page here are red links. Red links in wiki-language means that there's not a page there and there should be. The link to your name is actually a link to CrimsonStar:YourName. Where YourName is whatever your character's name is, of course. CrimsonStar is our "Namespace". What that means is that every page we create for this campaign should start with CrimsonStar: Just like that. Capitals where they are, colon at the end, followed by your page name. In addition, your page names should have an underscore where you'd have a space. Like Main Page is actually Main_Page.

Here are some tips for editing pages:
* If you're unsure where to start for a page, check out what we did in the Orichalcum Handbasket campaign. Feel free to click the edit button for a page if you want to see how to do something in wiki-language - just don't actually save the changes on the page!
* Any time you are writing along and you want to link to a page (Like if you're naming someone), put in a link instead of their name. Links in wiki-language are weird. Start with two brackets You can find it above your enter key, it's shift-\. After that |, you put whatever you want the link to actually say. Like Children of the Crimson Star. Then, another two brackets . Put all that together, and it looks like this: Children of the Crimson Star.
* Be careful with links. A few carefully chosen links are better than other links. A good rule of thumb is to only link something once per section. (A section is something that uses = in wiki-language. For example, if MJ is writing a scene between Megaera and Alecto, she'd only link to Alecto's page the first time she said her name. The whole scene should go in one section, so there's no need for another link.
* There are a lot more neat things that you can do. Two apostrophes makes text italic. Three apostrophes makes Bold. If you're not sure it looks right, because it's hard to understand wiki-language sometimes, just hit "Show Preview" and it'll show you what your page looks like right now. Just remember that that doesn't mean it's posted yet!
* If you want to know how to do something and you can't figure it out, try looking at Wikipedia's Editing Help Page. If that doesn't tell you what you need to know, try Google. You'd be surprised what you can find about wiki editing.

Writing Story
So, we're all part of this whole Campaign, where all sorts of things are happening, and it can be hard to keep track of everything all at once. MJ and Devon will likely have their netbooks out during game and be keeping notes about the things that happen, but they'll all need details added to them once the session is over.

Here are some tips about how to write story for the campaign:
* Check out the Annals of the Company which is the session log. This is the bare bones bullet points of what happens. There will be red links there after every session that need to be created and explained. If there's something there you can write about or add to, go ahead! This is a group project, we're all adding to it.
* On that note, below is a to-do list. We'll try to keep it up to date with red links that are in our wiki, so that we know what needs to get done. If you're in the middle of working on something and you'd like to make sure you get to finish what you were doing before other people add to it, put it in the "In Progress" section below, and we'll leave it for you.
* If something on one page is getting really long, write a short summary of it, and then take your long section and make it its own page.
* If you're not sure about something you're adding that hasn't happened, be sure to talk to Erik about it so he can approve / deny your plot point.

To Do List
In this section, there are two lists. In-progress means it's something you're working on and would like to finish without someone else doing it for you. Things We Need is a list of links that will need creation and finishing, and are up for grabs by anyone. Basically, stuff we'd like to have but haven't gotten to yet. Ideally these things aren't only linked here, but are linked from wherever they would be in the actual content pages.

In Progress:
Things We Need:
From Nordmyra:

An explanation of the Noble houses and who is in them; I know Alecto and Megaera are parts of one. Is Nordmyra a noble of Svika?

A description of all of the star-symbols we have seen so far: as far as I know, it has been a pentagram with an extended point, a pentagram with a serpent encircling the extended point, and a red pentagram with an eye over it. Add to this if there is more.

Page Chatter
This is a talk page after all. If you need to ask a question about the wiki, or suggest something for the wiki that you're not comfortable adding, or discuss a controversial change, or something I can't forsee, please please go ahead and add to this section, ok? That's what it's here for.

Hey folks - I made a page called Notable Names for our NPCs. Someone that's going to have one short paragraph doesn't need a whole page. If you want to link to them, just add #name after Notable_Names in your links. Like, if you wanted to link to Stheno, you'd do CrimsonStar:Notable_Names#Stheno And it'd go right to her. --MJ

Players (Wiki Login Names)
If you've added or majorly edited a page, add a bullet point under your name to say you've done it, and a link to the page. This helps us keep up on what's new, and provides an easy reference of who to ask if we have a question about a topic.

Erik (Sven)
* Added explaination of House Tartarosto its page. It could use input from the people who are directly affeted by this house (MJ and Joe) also I can't remember if Tartaros are Eldarin or not.
Personality
Megaera is relentlessly cheerful. Relentlessly, because even (maybe especially) when she's angry, she's smiling. She is incredibly vain, often choosing extravagant outfits for as little reason as to turn a few more heads in the arena. Vain as she is, however, she is also very calculated. Every glance, hand movement, and blink of her eyes is perfectly timed to get the response she's looking for out of anyone who talks to her. There is no such thing as a casual chat in her vocabulary. Despite this, she gives the impression of a total ditz who has problems putting together a complete sentence.

Connection to the Party
Megaera was handler for Ka'tho before his untimely death. She is now handler for a new gladiator, Harbek.

Alecto, eldest daughter of Stheno and Scion of House Erinyes is her sister.

History
Megaera is the youngest daughter of Stheno, and as such is a Scion of House Erinyes. She has an older sister named Alecto, and a brother named Tisiphone. She has a healthy rivalry with both of her siblings, Alecto being her complete opposite in terms of demeanor, and thus opposed to her every decision, on principle. Her rivalry with Tisiphone is based upon household standing, That she is placed higher than him within the House due only to her gender chafes him, and makes any conversation they have a terse one. As a child, Megaera found a calling in music, and soon began training to be a bard. As her older sister was studying magic as was traditional for the family (under cover of The Way, of course), Megaera was free to choose her own path, and soon found herself a sought-after minstrel, both for her musical talents, and her way with the dangerous Thri-kreen.

Megaera, after a long private discussion with Stheno, was given as a gift to House Sfika, to cement an alliance between the houses. Her training as a minstrel made her an ideal spy for her mother, as well as a blessing on the house, with her influential music. At the tender age of 13, and with permission from the Lady of House Sfika, Megaera found refuge as a handler in the gladiatorial pits. As one of the only members of the house who could speak Thri-kreen, Megaera found herself becoming friends with the Thri-kreen gladiator champion Ka'Tho. As his handler, she made spending money, but also a lot of enemies in the arena. When her brother Tisiphone started to fight in the ring, Megaera was annoyed. She couldn't bet on the highest paying fights in the arenas because they often included her deadbeat brother. More problematic for her was the fact that Ka'tho refused to kill off her brother. "He smells like you", he'd said, and refused to do more than incapacitate him when they were rivals in the ring. This only worsened the relationship between Megaera and her brother, who was determined that she was telling Ka'tho not to hurt him, and thus hurting his reputation.

Just as things were starting to get boring for Megaera, she recieved a surprise visit from her sister Alecto. At the best of times, conversations between the sisters were sharp, and a visit was totally unprecedented. Megaera soon learned that Alecto was to be married to Reacar from House ((That one she can't remember that was picked out of the Ikea Book)), who was the worst match possible for Alecto, but would seal an alliance that had been in the works for a very long time. Alecto, at her most cunning, said just enough to plant ideas in her younger sister's mind. At 16, Megaera had no trouble using the bits of information she had gained from the conversation with her sister to sabotage the wedding. The young scion of Markae was too naive to tell the difference between the older and younger daughters of Stheno. Megaera seduced the young man on the afternoon of the wedding, and "accidentally" killed him through burning. She has denied any intention of anything other than stealing some time with Reacar before he was married to her sister and forever off-limits.

Star Dream
You are sitting in a valley in the desert somewhere under a blood red sky. You are sitting at a richly
appointed table with a chess set on it. “Are you ready for the storm that is to come?” a cloaked figure
sitting across from you asks. You take one of his pieces. “How ready do I need to be?" you ask, amused.
He takes your queen, his clawed hand grasping it and placing it carefully to the side of the table. “Better
than now… you can’t even beat me at chess… how do you expect to beat me in war?” His dry cackle
ends as you move a rook and checkmate your opponent, smiling as you look into his ancient draconic
eyes…

The scene changes. There is a massive battle in the same valley in which your chess game took place. Large
squares of troops move towards each other as eldritch blasts go flying in the space in-between. You call
a name in a harsh language. Your demon companion appears. You order, “Take up my banner. Time to end
this.” She stands 8 feet tall and has a nimbus of menace. “We seem to be in some peril...” the demoness
comments as a large rock lands nearby. “Not really… this is just like chess, only more complicated,”
you state, as the chaos around you all of a sudden seems as orderly as game pieces on a board.

Your vision turns to a red light from a star that seems to bleed. You wake up with a tattoo.

Current Events
Session 1
It turns out that despite Alecto's part in the downfall of her marriage, she was ready to lay it all at Megaera's feet. They were both summoned to a meeting with their mother, during which nothing at all was decided other than the fact that both sisters were being, well, themselves. After the biggest lecture of their lives (or at least in recent memory), the sisters were tasked with leading a mercenary escort to bring something belonging to their mother into the city - no questions asked, no knowledge of the contents of the cart. Going nowhere without the presence of her pet Thri-kreen gladiator Ka'tho, Megaera joins her sister in this endeavor, noting some interesting characters in their party. Especially that wasp guy. His white noise generating ...self... could be really useful in keeping secret conversations secret. She'd need to remember that. Megaera's thoughts continued to meander until they reached the oasis at which they were to meet the cart, to discover it being ambushed by Dref. The party springs into action, taking down the Dref, who proclaimed themselves to be "Sons of Set". They take custody of the cart, and Megaera heals their wounds while they travel back towards the city. They are ambushed again while waiting for the cover of nightfall to bring their cargo into the city. These attackers are common thugs, but it takes all Megaera has to keep everyone on their feet.

Session 2
Once dark falls, the party brings the cart into the city. To all appearances, Megaera is sleeping lightly against the side of the cart as it trundles into the worse areas of Tyr. For the third time, the cart is set upon by would-be thieves. This time, among their enemies is an elemental priest. The fight against these "Sons of Set" is bitter, and brutal, with Megaera's people being attacked from all sides, including the rooftops. Megaera is torn in too many directions. First one of the mercenaries dies, and then her friend, her Bug-man, falls under the Elemental Priest's brutal magics. All done in a brutal few minutes, but that fight cost Megaera her best friend. Not long after, Stheno arrived to take custody of the package, and Megaera was left to mourn Ka'tho's death.

After the Thri-kreen's untimely death, Megaera was tasked with finding a new champion for House Sfika, and fast. The fight between House Orestes' entire gladiatorial stables and one single chosen champion of Sfika was coming up. Word had spread that the gladiator Harbek was coming out of retirement to get back into the ring. With a letter of credit from House Sfika, she set off to recruit Harbek before House Orestes could lay a hand on him. With a little persuasion, a handful of promises, and large sums of money, Megaera manages to persuade Harbek to join her. After that, it is a whirlwind of cunning conversations and subtle bribery to even the odds between her strong gladiator, and the entirety of the House Orestes Stables.

Session 3
Megaera watches from the stands as her new gladiator, Harbek, takes on the House Orestes stables without landing a single blow. When the fight ends, the cheers are deafening. Everyone is whisked off to a party at which Megaera recieves a tattoo from her mother as a gift for bringing such honor to the house. At the party, she arranges a fight between Tisiphone and Harbek.

In the middle of the night, Alecto wakes Megaera up and demands that she goes along to meet this Thri-kreen (Ka'thrain) who knows about the red star stuff. Megaera being able to speak Thri-kreen, she didn't argue, woke up her hungover gladiator bodyguard, and went along. They had a lively fight with some undead and a really misty thing underground, and when they came back to the surface Ka'thrain was dead, and they were attacked by more Sons of Set. It was all Megaera could do to keep her rag-tag band of folks alive.

The Noble House Tartaros (Tar-Tar-Ohs) is a very powerful house with vast fertile holdings to the north of Tyr. Noted for being very skilled in "The Way" as well as having several Scions skilled the arcane arts (Arcanist are mostly seconded to the Templars). Due to bargains with primal powers, their elder ranks are touched by elemental magics, becoming the not-quite-human beings called "genasi" by the learned. Their humanity is likewise suspect; untold generations of dabbling in primal forces leave many of them with the unmistakable mark of elemental magics.

Economy
Tartaros has exclusive noble privilege to a small aquifer to the north of Tyr. While the lands are somewhat further away from Tyr itself than many other noble holdings, Tartaros lands are very prosperous. Tartaros is very adept at growing crops and various types of herbs/vegetables/mushrooms. Tartaros is also very adept at concocting a number of different types of alchemical substances such as the variants of "Dream Honey" the regular type is used to keep the vast number of slaves in line and docile a slightly altered form of Dream Honey (known as Nightmare) turns a recipient into a berserker. The number of slaves that Tartaros has and seemingly produces at an astonishing rate no can say if it’s by forced enslavement or forced breeding. The slaves serve a secondary function as the main portion of the military (see below).

Military
House Tartaros also contributes the most soldiers to the Grand Army of Tyr. That being said these tend to be slave soldiers deliberately addicted to "Dream Honey" a powerful narcotic. What the Tartaros battle-slaves lack in skill and equipment they make up for in their berserker frenzy from a slightly altered formula of Dream Honey known as Nightmare. The battle slaves are followed quickly by the regular house troops, a much smaller contingent of sane well equipped regulars.

Political
Powerful due to number of soldiers they can contribute the contingent of seconded Templars, and wealth. The weakness of the house politically is their implied connection to several plots that fell flat.

Rivalries
House Erinyes: House Tartaros is the only noble family whose claim to antiquity rivals that of Erinyes. The two houses clash frequently, in subtle machinations and street duels alike. The warring has only grown worse in recent times, with the Templarate lacking the power or inclination to step between such powerful and cruel forces.

Allies
Known Goals
* Total destruction of House Erinyes.
* Become the "First house of Tyr"
* Keep the formula of "Dream Honey" and "Nightmare" secret (thus far very successful)

Crest and Motto
Our Strength in the Earth

Scions
Astraeus
Astraeus of Tartaros is well-respected, if not well-liked, among his house; though his skill in the Way is substantial, it is the power which he has gained from the elemental spirits which makes him truly formidable. This strength, along with a forceful and commanding personality, have permitted him much more sway in house policy than one of his relatively junior birth would normally wield. Now, with his sister Felice's death at the hands of snake cultists, he is poised to become a dominant force in the house. That a man of his age and influence is unmarried might seem surprising, especially when coupled with his chiseled appearance; those who remember that he was married once before try to avoid comment. It is, after all, purely coincidental that his rise to prominence began shortly after his pregnant wife died in a mysterious accident.

==Political== Markae has a habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time in terms of political matches etc. Recently one of their most eligible bachelors died when his bed burned with him in it.

==Known Goals== Cornering the lumber market (easier said than done). Revenge on house Erinyes for the loss of their bachelor.

Scions
Oghadar
Now the house's most eligible bachelor, with the death of his brother Reacar, this young man is a quite promising prospect. His tutors account him quite intelligent, a veritable prodigy in the Way, and generally well-favored. He is, if anything, more comely than his late brother, and having grown up as a second son has given him rather more humility and honest self-appraisal. Were it not for his youth, being but fourteen years of age, the maidens of Tyr's upper crust would no doubt take a keener interest. It is to his credit that despite this, he is still among the finest flower of the city's nobility; in a few years' time, grown into maturity and the full bloom of his potential, he should be quite formidable.

Game: Children of the Crimson Star

* Total destruction of House Erinyes.
* Become the "First house of Tyr"

Claiming to be the oldest house in the city of Tyr, The Noble House Erinyes (AIR-in-yay-ss), is certainly one of the more unusual. Their legendary founder and namesake was certainly inhuman, given the blood she has passed on to her descendants. Following the precedents she established, the house also follows rules of inheritance which seem strange to others of the city, dividing property evenly between all daughters (a practice which does little to reduce sororicide). Thus, the house is many in number, but only a handful of those who claim noble title actually hold enough land and power to be seen as worthy of
the name. Yet few will mock one of Erinyes' daughters, for the house has another tradition, never openly acknowledged but wholly undeniable: the practice of arcane arts.

While the use of the Way is certainly prevalent, it often serves as a cover for mystical practices best left undiscussed, and tolerated by Kalak only because Erinyes' witches eschew the vulgar and obvious use of defiling. Their diabolical practices require a certain intake of expendable sapients, leading the house to hold ties to several slave trading companies; as a dubious benefit, the expense means that they are otherwise less prone to costly decadence than their rivals.

Economy
Erinyes holds very little land, and the lands they do hold are largely inhospitable. What wealth their territory holds is found far beneath the earth, in the salt, obsidian, and lapis mined by a steady stream of short-lived slaves. Most of the house's income comes from dealings with various merchant houses, particularly the steel traders of Vordun; Erinyes is tied deeply into the slave markets of Tyr, and serve as patrons to many other enterprises.

Military
House Erinyes is not much inclined to open warfare. Their most well-reputed fighting forces, thus, are not infantry of the line, but skilled irregulars. Equally trained in skirmishing from the backs of crodlu or infiltrating enemy encampments, the Obsidian Knives are most feared when they are nowhere to be seen. When pitched battle must be joined, the commanders of Erinyes are usually to be found in heavily armored howdahs borne on mekillot-back, wielding the Way (and, it is rumoured, darker arts) from positions of relative safety.
As a male scion of Erinyes, he oftenfinds himself swept aside as unimportant, and being a male bearing a traditional family name that is usually reserved for a female leaves him in a difficult position. Seeing himself as unwanted, even by himself, Tisiphone has built up a layer of contempt for others that is difficult to crack. There's a storm brewing behind this young man's eyes.
Megaera, youngest daughter of Stheno, is impulsive and relentlessly cheerful. As a young child she found her calling as a bard, and excelled in it. In a cunning political move by the Erinyes elders, Megaera was given as a gift to House Sfika to cement an alliance. Once there, she brough life and music to the house, as well as subterfuge and information gathering for her birth house.

Political
Rivalries
* House Tartaros: House Erinyes is rivals with House Tartaros, the only house to rival their claim to the title of oldest house in the city of Tyr.

* House Sfika: Erinyes is newly allied with House Sfika, through the gift of an Erinyes Scion, Megaera the bard.

Known Goals
Scions
Alecto
Alecto, eldest daughter of Stheno, is notably cunning and pragmatic even for her house. While she dutifully studied the Way, her true talents clearly lay in the arcane arts, and thus it was that she studied under her great-aunt Euryale, a woman of great power and cruelty. But when Kalak lay waste to his templarate, the house saw an opportunity to gain influence in the halls of the king, and presented this learned and capable scion to take the sorcerer-king's oath.

Tisiphone
Tisiphone, only son and greatest disappointment of Stheno, is one of the most straightforward children of House Erinyes that you are likely to meet. A mediocre swordsman who spends too much time watching (and participating in) fights in the dlatiatorial area, he keeps in touch with his younger sister and avoids the eyesight of his oldest sister.

Megaera
Megaera, youngest daughter of Stheno, is impulsive and relentlessly cheerful. As a young child she found her calling as a bard, and excelled in it. Ina cunning political move by the Erinyes elders, Megaera was given as a gift to House Sfika to cement an alliance. Once there, she brough life and music to the house, as well as subterfuge and information gathering for her birth house. Her work as a handler and entertainer in the gladiatorial arena has brought pride and prestige to both Erinyes and Sfika.

Noble House Värnamo "1st house of Tyr"

General: Currently THE most powerful house in Tyr. Skilled in the Way to a ridiculous degree, there are secrets that NO ONE else has (and are desperate to steal). Legendarily loyal to Kalak. While they have a not insignificant military presense there are very few Värnamo left after the recent ascent of Kalak and the resulting wars.

Economy: Värnamo have large fertile land holdings, a small iron mine, a number of oases and the right to tax one of the causeways into Tyr. Their holdings are amongst the most profitable of any house.

Military: House Värnamo also contributes the best soldiers to the Grand Army of Tyr. The "black legion" is an extremely well equiped force that centers around a heavy infantry core with varied "auxiliaries" (archers, scouts, skirmishers, and cavalry). While decimated during the wars following Kalak's ascendency the "Black Legion" is still considered vital to the Grand Army of Tyr.

Political: There is no single faction in Tyr outside the Templarate of Kalak more powerful than house Värnamo. That said the very small number of actual members is proving problematic.

Known Goals: Maintaining their position. Finding a suitable match for thier princess Nicessa.

Noble House Markae

General: A house of some political influence, moderate military strength and very lucrative land holdings.

Economy: Markae has relatively small land holdings but quite a few holdings are oases or water rich areas. Quite a bit of the wood in Tyr comes from Markae (or associated merchants).

Military: Markae does not have much in the way of heavy infantry or anything in the way of cavalry. But they DO have a large amount of archers. A good section of the Army Of Tyr's archery compnent is supplied by Markae.

Political: Markae has a habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time in terms of political matches etc. Recently one of their most eligible bachelors died when his bed burned with him in it.

Known Goals: Cornering the lumber market (easier said than done). Revenge on house Erinyes for the loss of their bachelor.

Ten Facts About Ryleh

1) Ryleh was alive 1,000 years before the current age (when the game is taking place).

2) Ryleh probably knew more than anyone else ever about the occurance of the "Red Star".

3) Ryleh was a formidable Demon (Devil?) summoner a power in of herself in her time.

4) No one knows what became of Ryleh only that she died and her tomb has been lost to the ages (her sarcophocous has recently appeared however).

5) Ryleh was a female said to be extrodinarily beautiful.

6) Ryleh was the only Tiefling of note in Tyr NOT related to (or of the line of) Erinyes.

7) Ryleh eschewed the eating of the flesh of any animal, or their milk, or ovum. She derived some power from this though what ... no one can say only that it made her... better somehow.

8) Ryleh was a lover of Set, a Sorcerer(?) of some power she betrayed him and his wrath new no end. As to what this betrayel was or why has been lost to the ages...

9) Ryleh built the "Red Tower" (that gives the Red Tower District its name) to assist with her astronomical studies. It was one of the grandest Manses of its time considered a treasure by the sages, aristocrats, and the fashionable elite.

10) The secret that Ryleh kept for quite some time is the the Red Tower while beautiful is a weapon of great potency: it GREATLY enhances demonic/devil summoning.

Noble House Tartaros

General: A very powerful house with vast fertile holdings to the north of Tyr.

Economy: Tartaros has exclusive noble privilege to a small aquifer to the north of Tyr. While the lands are somewhat further away from Tyr itself than many other noble holdings, Tartaros lands are very prosperous. Tartaros is VERY adept at growing crops and various types of herbs/vegetables/mushrooms. Tartaros is also very adept at concocting a number of different types of alchemical substances such as the variants of "Dream Honey" the regular type is used to keep the vast number of slaves in line and docile a slightly altered form of "Dream Honey" (known as "Nightmare") turns a recipient into a berserker. The number of slaves that Tartaros has and seemingly produces at an astonishing rate no can say if it’s by forced enslavement or forced breeding. The slaves serve a secondary function as the main portion of the military (see below).

Military: House Tartaros also contributes the most soldiers to the Grand Army of Tyr. That being said these tend to be slave soldiers deliberately addicted to "Dream Honey" a powerful narcotic. What the Tartaros battle-slaves lack in skill and equipment they make up for in their berserker frenzy from a slightly altered formula of "Dream Honey" known as "Nightmare". The battle slaves are followed quickly by the regular house troops, a much smaller contingent of sane well equipped regulars.

Political: Powerful due to number of soldiers they can contribute the contingent of seconded Templars, and wealth. The weakness of the house politically is their implied connection to several plots that fell flat.

Known Goals: Total destruction of house Erinyes. Become the "First house of Tyr" Keep the formula of "Dream Honey" and "Nightmare" secret (thus far very successful)

A reminder about why Devon's character Harbek had to fight the gladiatiors and why Tsiphone will be fighting him next time

Erik
Added explaination of "Noble House Tartaros" to its page. It could use a link back to the main page and input from the people who are directly affeted by this house (MJ and Joe) also I can't remember if Tartaros are Eldarin or not.

Added an ifluence under "influnces"

David (Davvves)
* Created Daraek's Page.
Devon (Feyth)
* Created Alecto's Page

Mary Jane (Alydra)
* Created the Main Page.
* Created this page.
* Created Megaera's Page
* Created the Notable Names Page.
The Flame and the Void
"Auntie, how much longer must I OWW!" The switch cut the air, though no hand held it, arcing into the child's back. Her fingers closed tightly around an ember, she gathered herself. "I apologize, Teacher."

"Ah, good, young Alecto. At least you didn't ask me what you did wrong. This time. And the answer, child, is that you will hold the fire in your hand until you can hold it in your mind. You are the flame. You are the void, with the flame burning within. You are a daughter of Erinyes, and you will master this if it kills you." The child's anger flared, the ember brightening to a fierce red as she buried the emotion inside. "Better. Not good enough, but better."

When Constabulary Duty's to be Done
"Well, sure, there's lots of templars I don't like working with. Sister Cera will have a man flogged if he forgets to praise the King's name, and that greedy little toad Tithian keeps damn near all the bribe money for himself. But that Alecto girl, she scares me. I mean, little slip of a thing, barely comes up to my short ribs, and that's counting those weird horns. And it's not just that she isn't human; sure, blood-red skin, horns and tail like a kirre, that's pretty off. But it's her eyes that spook me. Every time she hears an order she doesn't like, or I have to tell her some bad news, it's like she's just storing all that rage somewhere inside. You can see it burning in those eyes, and you can just tell someday it's going to come burning out. Me? I intend to be far, far away when that happens. Hopefully in a nice solid stone building, with nothing flammable around."

Oy, a Discussion Page!

This page is where we can keep track of who's doing what to make this campaign wiki a whole lot more awesome. Just looking at all of the pages and the recently edited things isn't really enough information about what's been done.

I've added a subsection for everyone under their name. If you let me know your wiki-name here, I'll go ahead and append that to your name so we all know when someone edits something.

Remember that our goal here is to keep track of what happens in game as well as to make it a resource for things we need to actually play the game. Go have fun with the wiki-goodness, but please remember to Sign In before editing any pages! Just seeing an IP address is no fun when trying to figure out who did what. =(

* Chapter One: A Circle from Many Parts -MJ/Alydra
<br>
Things We Need:

Everyone: Begin thinking about your First Age incarnation. Who they were, who their enemies and allies were, what wonders they may have possessed, created, or stolen, etc.

Name your Combos!

Sessions
We've gone ahead and titled the first session, and plan to do so for each subsequent session. Please use the session title to divide up what you've written. Check out what's already written in people's section as an example.

Vargo Teras: /* Round One */

The party left The Penitent and found that a Wild Hunt was amassing in order to, well...hunt them. Since they knew of the nearby Free Hold, they decided to lead one army into the other. This worked quite well, and the two parties soon began fighting each other.

Join Battle
Despite the words of warning from Feyth that they might not be able to take on the combined armies of both the Fair Folk and the Wild Hunt, Sirokos vaulted into battle (like the bullheaded simpleton he is). He grabbed the lasso that had at one point been attached to Feyth, who was now (wisely) floating above the battle and waiting for a more...feasible time to join, and swung down into the middle of everything. Ebon chose to take a moment to loot the jewelry from the Raksha Chieftain...'s armor, but was apparently quite quick about it.

Round One
Sirokos, being as crazy as he is, decided to use the momentum from his roll to catch a shield sitting on the ground and use its momentum to continue skidding across the ground and firing many, many times at BOTH armies. By charging wisdom through his conviction, the shots on the Wild Hunt proved devastating, destroying all of the army but a group of three Fire Aspects who employed charms to become immune to fire damage. His attack on the Fair Folk, however, was less effective. He did not completely obliterate the army. He only lit most of them on fire and caused all but the Raksha to run (or tumble) away. After this first attack, all that's left on the battlefield are the most powerful four opponents and many piles of smoking ash.

Ebon felt that the most prudent thing to do would be to pick up the Raksha Chieftain and begin strip-searching him for any and all jewels. She very much managed to pick him up and spent a few moments searching him.

Since he's insanely fast, Sirokos got to make another attack. He threw a handful of coins into the air to bank his shots off of, but they managed to dodge, so his attack proved ineffectual.

Next up was Duricorre, who took on all three of the Fire Aspects at once. The first Aspect had a rather blinding flame going, but the monk managed to punch through it with ease. So much ease, in fact, that the Dragon-Blooded's helmet flew forty feet in the air...propelled by the remains of the Dragon-Blooded himself. The second dodged his strike, but the third was not so lucky. He suffered a similar fate to the first.

The one remaining Fire Aspect was now confronted by Arisa. Her Inescapable Penetration was now aimed directly at the Aspect's chest. The lance went through the armor of the Aspect. And the clothing. And the flesh. And the clothing again. And the armor once more. That said, it went all the way through and the Aspect died an agonizingly penetrative death. Meanwhile, Rover moved underneath Ebon in order to open his maw for the awaiting treat.

Feyth took the opportunity to activate Demon-Wracking Glory and began cruising around the desert taking out the fleeing Fair Folk like a floating lawnmower of doom.

Unfortunately, the Raksha took the opportunity to climb on Ebon's back to avoid death in the form of toothy maw.

However, thanks to Ebon's skillful flying, he still ended up in Rover's maw, and the giant Tyrant Lizard devoured the final remaining opponent.

Vargo Teras: /* Round One */

Game: Orichalcum Handbasket

The party was on their way up The Penitent, completely ignoring all the mortals fleeing in abject terror and/or not able to keep up with Rover (A Tyrant Lizard is a surprisingly fast hunk of flesh), when they noticed there was a group of five people actually catching up to them as they rounded the...well, round.

Enemies
;5 Terrestrial Exalted (Dragonblooded) As follows:
*Air Aspect in Blue Jade armor with an axe.
*Earth Aspect in White Jade armor with a grand goremaul.
*Fire Aspect in Red Jade armor with sword and shield
*Wood Aspect in Green Jade armor with a power bow
*Water Aspect, unarmed and unarmored

(What are these guys, the Power Rangers? Jeez.)

Join
Sirokos saw an opportunity to display his athletic skill and his tendency to throw caution to the wind. He rolled down Rover's swaying tail to draw his weapons in the midst of the Terrestrial Exalted and shouted "Drop your weapons! You're outnumbered!". This was of course before Feyth saw an opportunity to further distance himself from the battle by untying his tether to Rover when Rover spun about, thus using momentum to continue further up into the air, well out of reach of the hostilities. Rover's turning was brought about by Arisa urging him to do so, in order to use the (understandably) formidable sight of a 75-foot long Tyrant Lizard to strike fear into the followers. Ebon made use of the Mental Invisibility Technique to hide from the Terrestrials, and Durricore simply joined (in his own damn time).

Round One
Sirokos is apparently crazy, and decided to attack the archer. He is crazy because he did this not, of course, by simply shooting at the archer, but instead by using a charm to extend his range and banking his shot off the other Terrestrials' plate armor. Thanks to invoking the power of Justice (not Vengeance; that's his other gun) the archer (whose name was, oddly, Jake. I assume this is short for Jacqueline, or...Jakelina. Or something.) was reduced to ash.

Next was Rover's turn to fight! Using his fantastic aiming ability (read: looking reaaaaaaaal close) he attempted to squish the Terrestrials while carefully making sure that Sirokos was between his toes, not under them. The unarmed Terrestrial (a Water Aspect, apparently) simply used the Bottomless Depths Defense to defend against the Massive Foot Of A Tyrant Lizard. (Fucking Terrestrials.)

Since the Terrestrial did not die, this perturbed Arisa, who decided to use her combo: The Unavoidable Penetration Strike! She raised her mighty lance, took aim at the Terrestrial, and...he used the Bottomless Depths Defense again (sonofabitch).

Sirokos (Seriously? Fast bastard.) decided that the monk was not the best target, thanks to his habit of dodging (like the mo-fo he is) and instead went after the axe-wielder. Or, more specifically, his axes. In response, he felt it may be prudent to throw the hatchet first. This, however, failed to happen and he received a face full of fire. Still standing, though, he throws his other hatchet around (yes, around) the highwayman's head. Being ever foolhardy and eager to rush into danger, Sirokos decided to roll between the Terrestrial's legs. This failed badly, and he was forced to use the Seven Shadows Evasion in order to not die horribly.

Finally, Durricore got the chance to act! After taking his stance and activating Adamantine Fists, he felt like taking all four living Terrestrials on at once, using <insert combo name here>. Apparently, his BioMagitech arm has a hand with fingers capable of firing off in different directions and latching onto different targets. Using this, he grappled All Four of the remaining Terrestrials in an attempt to send them smashing rather hard together (physics? Nope. No physics here.) and then flying far apart. White was knocked (with terminal velocity, into The Penitant) unconscious, Red parried, Blue got a good punch in his (halfway melted) jaw (which sent the jaw flying) and died, and the (gorram) unarmed Terrestrial was punched Off The Penitent. There was much rejoicing. (yay.)

Sadly, at the same time as they were getting beaten to a pulp, the Terrestrials attempted to beat a good bit of hell out of Sirokos. White swung at and missed the highwayman thanks to a rather well-judged legsweep. The monk tried and failed to punch the lungs out of him. Red also sent his sword cleaving through a bunch of nothing. Altogether, a rather pitiful (final, for some) showing for our opponents.

Round Two
This left a single opponent standing (on The Penitent, at least). However, Rover decided that the Red looked just oh-so-tasty, and clawed at the ground as his cavernous maw came down. However, his aim was a bit off, and Red was able to parry Rover's (huge fucking) mouth.

Red now decided that the crazy cybernetic punchy man (read: Durricore) was now a bit more of a threat, and thus should be attacked. He began a rather impressive set of slashes and bashes, but this was cut short by Durricore effectively giving him the hand with the Immortal Blade Deflecting Palm.

Arisa saw a dandy opportunity to stabify Red, and sent her lance (pointy end first, of course) charging toward him. This was soon followed by extracting the point of her lance from his back, much to his chagrin. (The chagrin is, of course, from the fact that he was hit. The removal was a moot point.)

Next up was Sirokos, who decided that something absolutely -had- to be done about Red's rad armpit stench. Of course, this meant the armpit itself had to be cleansed with fire from one of his guns. Unfortunately, Red was able to lower his shield enough to absorb the brunt of the attack.
Durricore took this opportunity to simply grab (yes grab) the living crap out of (what remained of) Red. This allowed him to hold Red aloft as a sacrifice to the Mountain That Devours (Rover).

Rover trounced in like a puppy, with a gleeful look on his frightening maw that said rather simply "Dinner!". Red was, thus, summarily eaten. His short daiklave clattered to the ground. Along with his ankle.

Conclusion
The battle was now over, with the monk probably alive and very wounded somewhere far below, and White unconscious. White was interrogated, but knew nothing and was ultimately left where he was. Stuck to his chest in The Penitent.
