'''Height:''' 1.4 meters

'''Weight:''' 45 kilograms

'''Homeworld:''' Rodia

'''Objectives:''' Evade the Teekto/Bushu blood feud, which means moving around a lot.

=Personality=
Sneed is friendly with his crewmates but can be very anti-social with anyone he doesn't know or has just met. He doesn't discuss his past and becomes irate when anyone questions him about it. When sizing up a situation, he tends to have a pessimistic, grim outlook. He thinks the worst of people until proven wrong which can take several events to cement the idea in his mind. While he might be friendly with his team, he hardly trusts any of them with his life though this is information he keeps to himself. Sneed complains regularly that most worlds are cold compared to his jungle home.

=Description=
Sneed is short even by Rodian standards and a little lanky which gives him a less-than-intimidating stature. He looks young despite numerous scars and burns across his body. He has murky brown skin and a series of small spines on the top and back of his head. His eyes are black compound orbs that reflect light like a field of stars. Sneed tends to wear a simple all-black uniform set off by a large red scarf around his shoulders. When stuck in a place for longer than an hour, Sneed becomes antsy and paranoid, constantly checking over his shoulder for... something.

=Background=
Sneed was born to the Bushu clan, an unimportant person in an unimportant family. He learned how to hunt, track and survive in the wild from a young age. It was a common practice of his clan to throw the younglings into the jungle several days journey from home and see if they could make it back. He survived this process four times throughout his life until tragedy befell his clan.

In a bid for revenge, his clan's name was besmirched by clan Teekto. Apparently one of the Bushus had a child with one of the Teektos, to which the more prominent clan took offense. They viewed their clan as superior and found that mixing with lessers only would bring them down. And so a blood feud was initiated, publicly, a mere hour prior to their sudden and overwhelming attack on the Bushu clan. It was completely legal by Rodian politics. Thankfully Sneed was out in the jungle making his way back home when he saw the fires rising into the sky.

With no alternatives left him, Sneed snuck through the fetid jungle until he made it to a starport. He wasn't picky, promising to do whatever it took to gain passage off the planet. A smuggler saw potential in the young Rodian and took pity on him, granting him a ride off the planet if Sneed promised to work for him for a year. Sneed jumped at the chance, wanting only to escape with his life. He'd yet to even enjoy his adulthood let alone explore much more than his own village. There was so much for him to see and learn.

Taken under the tutelage of another crewman, one Grant Thyrssion, Sneed learned much more than how to just fire a blaster. He was taught all about starships, how to fly them, keep them in tip-top shape and especially how to fire their big-ass guns. That last bit was Sneed's favorite. In the next several months Sneed quickly became the official gunner for the ship, the Trailblazer, taking down pirates and TIE fighters alike. For the first time in his life, Sneed truly felt alive. He even stayed on beyond the initial year he'd signed on for.

Dropping anchor on Nar Shadda for a week to refuel and fix some battle damage was the end of Sneed's run with the Trailblazer. He'd thought himself free of the blood feud from back home and had let his guard down only to be recognized in a cantina by a pair of Rodians from Teekto clan. The bar inevitably erupted in blaster fire and Sneed had to run for the first available ship, not even giving his previous crew so much as a goodbye wave. He felt awful for that as they were his only true friends, but it was them or him.

Sneed began to hop from ship to ship each time he got into a port, trying to throw off his would-be hunters. Every few months they track him back down and another gunfight ensues, with more Teektos showing up in each exchange. Sneed knew very well that he was outgunned and that it was only a matter of time before he was killed, but he swore he'd make it as hard as possible for them.

For a time, Sneed worked alone. It was just easier to keep an eye on things if he didn't have to worry about his position being constantly given away by others. That worked out for a little while, until he ran out of money. In a moment of weakness, Sneed agreed to take part in a heist. It wasn't his typical sort of job but he could provide some muscle. The group was to steal some kind of golden doodad. The job went a little sideways and if it wasn't for his team, Sneed would have bled out.

However, grateful as he was, the Rodian just couldn't keep still. He had to move on to other jobs and keep moving. It would be two whole years until Sneed met them again.
=Character Details=
==Personality==
Kelsi is quiet and observing, tending to stay out of conversations that don't need her input. Her world is one filled by the Force and it is overwhelming most times. She often feels like what should be a gift is truly a curse. She complains about "voices" that need to be quiet or even at times swatting at the air to stop from feeling so many ripples in the Force. Sometimes she worries for her own sanity.

==Appearance==
Kelsi gives off a meek aura, typically not making direct eye-contact with anyone. Rarely does she ever look like she is enjoying herself or without something on her mind. Were one to look deep into her blue eyes they would perhaps see a hint of fear. Her body posture is always closed, arms often wrapped around herself and hiding behind a cloak or some other garment. She does not wear makeup or strive to bring attention to her appearance.

Kelsi wears simple clothing in earth tones and almost always has a dark cloak pulled around her. She doesn't wear anything new unless it is replacing something completely worn out and unusable. Kelsi wears her dark brown hair long and without frills. She does, however, wear a small quartz crystal on a thong of leather, though it is almost always tucked behind a shirt or cloak.

==Backstory==
Kelsi was born to a small community of Humans on a backwater planet in the Outer Rim. Her mother had only traveled to the planet to tend wounds suffered in the Clone Wars. She was a warrior first and foremost, but while healing she allowed herself to fall in love despite her better judgement. As it turned out, it was her destiny to give birth to another Force user, though she'd had a vision of dying during labor. She had made Kelsi's father promise to take her to the Jedi. A distraught man not understanding the circumstances made the hollow promise, never realizing what he'd agreed to nor having intentions of following through.

From an early age Kelsi was haunted by the Force's extreme presence in all things. It overwhelmed her and drove her away from anyone that even remotely had the Force within them. Her only friends were droids, though they left much to be desired. Still, she didn't immediately get headaches from interacting with them. Kelsi was never sent to the Jedi for training which ended up saving her life, but solved none of her other issues.

When Kelsi was twelve she began to roam the wilderness outside her colony which proved healthy for her mental state. She found a reduction in her headaches and was able to focus more on actually training her sensitivity to the Force. Though the winters were harsh, Kelsi often took long walks in order to clear her mind and center herself. Meditation became a part of her daily regimen, serving to build walls within her mind to keep the Force at bay and not drive her completely insane. There was a special cave filled with quartz crystals that was her favorite place and seemed to thrum with energy in a way that let her mind relax.

On one of her adventures into the wilds Kelsi stumbled upon one of the feline creatures that the locals had warned about. Fear immediately tried to overtake her senses, but there were other ripples in the Force that guided her toward it. Knowing full-well she could be killed or maimed (or worse eaten alive), the teen walked right up to the beast. For the slightest of moments, she felt a mental connection with it. And as soon as it was over the creature fled from her, though it looked at her with knowing eyes. Kelsi never spoke to anyone about her encounter, fearing the reprimand from her father.

Malkavian Grin, AKA Sylvia, is a trans female artist, writer, and video gamer. She works for an ABC-affiliated news station and went to college for Web Design. Currently she is seeking to become a Producer. Sylvia taught herself how to play bass and guitar and has been in two bands (which strangely and tragically both had a drummer pass away). As a gamer she enjoys shooters, RPGs, and cute indie projects. While she likes metroidvania style games, she is not very good at them.

The name Malkavian Grin is a nod to the old World of Darkness tabletop RPG setting, specifically Vampire: The Masquerade. Within Vampire are many clans of vampires, with Malkavian being one of them. Malkavians specifically all suffer from mental health issues, which hits home for Sylvia. A Malkavian grinning is thus a nod to the madness within.

=The Reasonable Excuse=
The ''Reasonable Excuse'' is a TL-1800[http://d6holocron.com/wiki/index.php?title=TL-1800_Transport] light freighter, jointly-owned by the crew. An older ship, it's obvious she's seen several crews in her years of service. The faded hull paint which is pock-marked with carbon scoring, and the interior decor has been repaired and patched so many times it's no longer possible to discern the original material. The accommodation arrangements consist of 4 double cabins, and one smaller single berth cabin.

The ship still retains its original nav computer, the notoriously unreliable Portal Delta, and benefits from an ignition keycode known only to the crew to prevent casual theft.

=Important NPCs=
'''Moda Ghent''' - A Twi'leki fence and deal broker based on Tarabba Prime.

=Important Locations=
'''Tarabba Prime''' - the commercial and communications hub for the Tarabba sector. The capital Tarabba City is a good place to make money, both legitimately and nefariously, and at the start of the game has been the Reasonable Excuse's base of operations for several months.

'''Name:''' Sneed of Bushu Clan

'''Species:''' Rodian

'''Sex:''' Male

'''Age:''' 25 Galactic Standard Years

This is a game using a hack of the ruleset Lasers & Feelings, called Sweet Riffs & Power Chords. These rules are designed around characters being in a band that end up having eldritch power of some kind, able to fight off other-worldly beings.

=Rules=

''"You are a musical adept, a powerful bard whose very rhythms, chords, and riffs can summon, command, and banish Elder Things."''

==Choose Your Number==
Players choose a number between 2 and 5 to represent their character's leaning toward the Mundane (lower) or the Musical (higher). The basic mechanic of the rules will be to roll at least 1d6 and compare to your number. If rolling multiple d6's, each die counts separately against the target number.

If trying to do something Mundane, players are trying to roll above; if trying to do something Musical, players are trying to roll below. A player that rolls their number exactly are said to strike a ''Sweet Riff'' or a ''Power Chord.''

'''Sweet Riff'''

Rolling a Sweet Riff lets a player add 1d6 to the next attempted roll and tell the Game Master one new truth about the world.

'''Power Chord'''

A Power Chord lets a player count the die as a success and they may ask the Game Master a question that must be answered truthfully.

Players can roll an extra 1d6 if:
*The action matches your role or style
*If you have a plan for a Mundane action
*If you're practiced for a Musical action
*If someone's helping you
*If your last roll had a Sweet Riff in it

'''Mundane''' things include:
*cautious actions
*forethought
*logistics/logic
*planning
*responsibility
*mature and "boring" behaviors
*spontaneous
*passionate
*creative
*powerful
*eldritch

'''Number of Successes'''
*0: The Game Master tells you how things get worse
*1: You kind of accomplish what you were going for, but there's a cost
*2: You accomplish what you were going for
*3+: As 2, but you tell the Game Master one additional good thing that happens

'''Role:''' Rhythm Guitar

'''Style:''' Stoned

'''Number:''' 2

Kanako is very "laid back and chill" and able to take pretty much anything in stride. She keeps the underlying motion of the song flowing, especially when her sister Yukiko gets amped up. On the flip side, being a stoner means Kanako thinks a lot but is very go-with-the-flow so she's happy to just chill and do nothing too. That can be a bad thing, as sometimes she gets lazy and doesn't act on things she needs to do. She's also got a bad habit of chain-smoking cigarettes and some of the only times she gets antsy is when she's out of smokes or can't because of the venue.

'''Role:''' Lead Guitar

'''Style:''' Manic

'''Number:''' 5

While Yukiko's style is manic, she's manic like a housecat - when in motion, she's a cannonball, but when at rest, she is at rest, and doesn't have a lot of energy for mundane planning and organization. She can give off the impression of a corpse occasionally animating into a hungry ghost; someone snarked that at her once, and she's worked it into her style. The group's songs with more of her influence tend to the spooky side, and on gigs where they have full lighting she'll usually stay still and hooded in a dead spot in the lights, remaining a looming presence until it's time to kick things off with her furious riffs.

==Hóri Salonen==

'''Played by:''' Math

'''Role:''' Electric Fiddle

'''Style:''' Cunning

'''Number:''' 5

Hóri's Finnish, well-traveled, and worryingly enthusiastic about the occult. He's constantly redesigning his "tattoos", a series of henna'ed and Sharpie'ed marks borrowing from runes, esoterica, geometry, and "tribal" patterns.
==Notes==

===Personality===

===Appearance===

===Backstory===
Bailey was born on Nar Shadda to a couple of smugglers. Technically she was born in space, but her parents did enough trading on the moon to call it home. Her mother was a medic that had lost her license because of a noble and some red tape. Her father was a smooth talker that preferred the rush from doing things less than legally. That attitude would come back to bite him and his wife in a deal that was set up by a rival gang that kept getting undercut from jobs. Their ship was sabotaged and made to look like it accidentally blew up as it went into hyperspace. Bailey, hardly nine years old, couldn't accept it. She was taken in by the local ruffians and her savant nature really came to the surface.

It wasn't until Bailey was thirteen that she managed to trade enough credits to obtain some records that pointed to the sabotage. Everyone else thought she was just seeing what she wanted to see. Maybe that was true, but Bailey was one of the smartest people she knew. By the time she was fifteen she'd made a reputation with the locals as the best mechanic they'd ever known, if a pain in the butt to deal with. But Bailey didn't want glory, or credits. She wanted to learn more about her parents. She didn't have much to go on, but staying on Nar Shadda wasn't going to get her anywhere else. She'd need to travel and learn and meet people. Grease elbows, or whatever. Maybe it was palms...

Star Wars: Rebel Adventures is, in its current state, a one-shot in Cloud City using the [[Star_Worlds|Star Worlds]] rule set. If there is interest after the adventure is over, the game could be turned into an ongoing campaign.

=Campaign Setting=
It is the height of the galactic civil war and a dark time for the galaxy. The tension between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance continues to escalate into the year. The Battle of Yavin and the destruction of the death star are critical successes for the rebellion. A new hope is born. Infuriated by the defeat, Emperor Palpatine viciously lashes out against many of the Outer Rim worlds thought to be harboring people loyal to the rebel cause. The windswept planet of Bespin is no exception. In the streets of glorious Cloud City celebration erupts as news of the rebel victory at Yavin leaks out, but Imperial Storm Troopers open fire on the raucous crowd, inciting a riot that gets out of control and spreads throughout the whole city.

An Imperial police crackdown falls into effect immediately, but the Storm Troopers are highly outnumbered despite the presence of a fully staffed garrison base in the center of the spaceport. The chaos in the city creates an opportunity for rebel militia and criminal elements in the area. The local gangs and mercenary houses use the confusion of the riot to strike at each other, spurred by various feuds and grievances. At the same time, local rebel forces begin to skirmish with the Imperial occupancy while recruiting more and more disgruntled people to the cause.

It's a turbulent time in Cloud City and the power players are making their moves, so look sharp, keep your blasters close, and never strike a deal with a seedy warlord. Oh, and may the Force be with you.

=Active Characters=
At the start of the game the characters are not affiliated with the rebel forces. However, with the city suddenly coming under martial law by the Empire they may find that joining the rebels is advantageous.
'''Background'''

Mave's mom Oola, the daughter of a slave, though she herself was freeborn, dances and serves drinks, when times are good in one of the fancy casino's, in bad periods some seedy bar. Didn't take long for Mave to swear that no way, no how was she ever going to do that! Of course, there was no money for fancy things like school but she did have her uncle Firith with whom she could 'apprentice'.

Uncle Firith was an, ahem, entrepreneur, and, sure, there was some legitimate trading, but mostly scamming, swindling, keeping a step ahead of angry marks and all the shady characters Firith owed credits too, his gambling habit not helping much. But hey, beats dancing in a bar and she even manages to support her mom and send her kid sister to an actual school!

The current Imperial crack-down has opened a Pandora's box of danger and opportunity however and her uncle has a bead on the elusive Big Score, or so he says. That was a few days ago, and she hasn't seen him since...
'''Background'''

Over ten years ago, Shavericca was shanghaied from the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyk as forced labor by the Empire. A corrupt Imperial officer faked the death of Shavericca and the other slaves in a crash of the freighter being used to ferry them to their intended destination, in order to sell the slaves off to buyers in the criminal underworld. He spent several miserable years as a captive pit fighter owned by a Black Sun underboss. Through circumstances that Shavericca has never properly figured out, he was "tranferred" to the ownership of a small-time Bespin schemer and criminal named Firith -- he suspects as settlement of a wager or debt.

Strangely, it did not make Firith particularly happy to be given his very own Wookiee in lieu of expected cash, but the Twi'lek treated him with unexpected generosity. He offered to give Shavericca his outright freedom, but the Wookiee was far from home, with no easy way to return to Kashyyk and aware that he would be a potential embarrassment to the Imperials if he did. He has spent recent months doing occasional odd jobs for Firith and looking out for the man's extended family -- particularly his sister Oola, who has shown remarkable kindness to the homeless Wookiee, and his niece Mave, who has shown a great talent for getting into extra-legal scrapes of her own.

In the wake of recent unrest on Bespin, Firith has disappeared. Shavericca has gathered that the Twi'lek has gone in search of what he termed an "insurmountable opportunity". He worries what might happen to Firith if he crosses the wrong people, and most particularly, what might happen to Mave, her mother and her sister as a result.
'''Background'''

K4 was re-assembled from discarded/broken parts in the underbelly of Cloud City by bored Ugnaughts. He's been programmed to help work in the droid cycling factories, with an advanced interface and tech and piloting skills (mainly for operating load lifters). After years of use and abuse, he's looking pretty worn around the edges. The Ugnaughts have not had his memory wiped regularly, and as such he has developed his own personality and motivations. He recently 'served notice' on his owners, and left to start a new existence with various crime gangs, scum and villainy, where his programming makes him a useful asset.

He’s developed a friendship with a roguish Twi’lek called Firith, and together they’ve been engaged in some less than legal exploits. A few days ago Firith mentioned he’d got a lead on a score that could set him up for life. He disappeared off to chase up the lead, and hasn’t been seen since. K4 has been standing guard near Firith‘s accommodation in case he shows up ever since.
'''Background'''

Vill was born in hyperspace, and most of his life has been spend on ships and stations -- he can count on two hands the number of times he's set foot on solid ground. That's part of what made him decide to make his way to Bespin: No solid ground. While young Vill was a carefree space rat who took 'jack of all trades' seriously, older Vill realized something important: There's people out there who don't trust droids -- even medical droids. And those people will pay good money to be looked after by a competent medic. So naturally, Vill very quickly became a competent medic. He's treated captains and criminals, rebels and enforcers, and when there's no need for a doctor he's easily slipped back into whatever the situation requires him to do. Whatever the universe throws his way, he's always been able to get through it somehow -- but as the years have gone by, this has gone from a devil-may-care attitude to more of a why-should-I-care attitude. He doesn't realize it, but he's a man in search of a reason for being.

Vill arrived on Bespin roughly a month ago. He's already got a minor reputation as a decent medic, and does other odd jobs on the side. Sadly, his carefree whatever-may-come attitude doesn't translate well to the sabacc table, and he's a little short of funding at the moment -- and on the lookout for whatever the universe throws his way this time.

Vill is a slightly pale Human, roughly in his late 40s (and in really good shape for it), very angular features, black hair with streaks of silver and mostly-forgettable brown eyes. He wears nondescript traveling clothes, but always keeps a medical item of some sort visible to indicate his 'position'.
===Personality===

===Backstory===

Welcome to Star Worlds, a rules-lite RPG set in the Star Wars universe. The rules are built with John Harper's World of Dungeons Engine (itself a Dungeon World hack, which is a hack of Powered by the Apocalypse), modified by Zwolfa the Hutt to work with Star Wars and further modified by Malkavian Grin to be streamlined and inspire characters that are not min-maxed.

Star Worlds is meant to be fast-paced action with ever-changing scenarios. The story is set up by the Game Master but is heavily influenced by the character's actions and rolls. Solving one problem might cause its own set of issues.
