(28/09/09 12:49:39) Sunrunner: (Scene) Riding in the palanquin, leaving the city of Great Forks behind, the Exalts take further stock of each other and begin their conversations.
(28/09/09 12:53:14) Andrensath: Solitary Talon holds her bondmate's hands. "So, Li, Sakura, exactly what have you been doing until recently?"
(28/09/09 12:54:00) Myllinnia: Silveria lounges, as she been found wanting to do a lot it seems. She still has her reservations about the palanquin itself, but keeps such things to herself. Silent she lays theres, idly playing with a strand of hair, brushing against her lips thoughtfully.
(28/09/09 12:56:04) Sunrunner: (Li) "Messing with the Deathlord who took over Nexus. His patrols suddenly stopped responding until he started sending his deathknights out. Before that? Studying under the Lover in her court."
(28/09/09 12:57:28) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "Exploring, mostly. Looking for unclaimed manses. Acting as a messenger. Working to stabilize the region politically."
(28/09/09 12:58:42) Sunrunner: (Li) "And you ... you three?"
(28/09/09 12:59:56) Andrensath: "Fighting the Mask's forces. And getting to know each other." Solitary replies, deliberately leaving out exactly how they'd gotten to know each other.
(28/09/09 13:01:43) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "Sounds like an exercise in frustration. The Mask of Winters has so many dead and near-dead willing to face destruction for him ..."
(28/09/09 13:02:09) Andrensath: "It was, yes."
(28/09/09 13:02:12) Sunrunner: (Aesin) "Yes. Yes he does."
(28/09/09 13:02:52) Myllinnia: Silveria nods, "Frustrating, infuriating, sickening, and saddening," she says absently as she she plays with that strand of hair, almost as if she is half listening.
(28/09/09 13:03:40) Andrensath: Solitary Talon raises an eyebrow. "Silveria? Is there something the matter?"
(28/09/09 13:03:41) Sunrunner: (Aesin) (Over the Bond) Something I may aid with? You appear distracted.
(28/09/09 13:05:18) Myllinnia: Silveria shakes her head, (OtB ^^) 'Just... thinking.' She sits up quickly and chuckles, 'Something I shouldn't be doing, yes? I'm going to get old and wrinkly fast doing so, no?'
(28/09/09 13:05:58) Sunrunner: (Aesin) No, you won't. One of the benefits of Exaltation ... eternal "youth". At least for a few thousand years.
(28/09/09 13:06:30) Sunrunner: (Li) *laughs* "We make good looking corpses."
(28/09/09 13:08:14) Myllinnia: Silveria tilts her head, "Really? No gray hair worrying? No... sagging?" She smiles brightly and crosses her arms and legs, "That removes a lot of worrying."
(28/09/09 13:08:51) Andrensath: Solitary snickers softly. "It does, doesn't it?" She smiles at the female Lunar fondly.
(28/09/09 13:10:44) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "Such a morbid turn to the conversation." She smiles, "Dare I inquire as to why, of all the cities available, Densandor was chosen as the destination?"
(28/09/09 13:11:46) Andrensath: "That's a good question, actually."
(28/09/09 13:11:46) Myllinnia: Silveria raises a finger as is if she has all the answers and is teaching what she knows, "Aparently it should hold a bunch of fancy toys that the Mask doesn't have. By acquiring more toys than the enemy we might get an advantage."
(28/09/09 13:12:35) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "However, it risks attention from the Walker in Darkness, as he has been trying to claim the city for himself as well."
(28/09/09 13:13:30) Myllinnia: Silveria blinks and tilts her head. "Oh, well... that doesn't sound good. Well...hmmm."
(28/09/09 13:14:14) Sunrunner: (Li) "The Deathlords are like any other ghost: They are cowards unless they have the overwhelming advantage. I doubt the Walker will assault a relatively unknown group such as ourselves. At least until he knows us better."
(28/09/09 13:14:35) Andrensath: Solitary Talon nods in agreement.
(28/09/09 13:15:29) Myllinnia: "They really should just stay in their dark, depressing Underworld. I never went do there to mess with their stuff." Silveria says crossly as she leans back.
(28/09/09 13:16:27) Andrensath: Solitary Talon snickers softly. "I doubt any of us would disagree with you there."
(28/09/09 13:16:58) Sunrunner: (Li) "The Dead hunger for what they had while alive. And more. They are creatures of passion. They have useful knowledge, yet ... they don't have much to offer the living. Outside of protection rackets."
(28/09/09 13:17:58) Sunrunner: (Aesin) "The Dead can offer protection, wisdom, guidance ... and it is an exchange like any other between mortals and the gods."
(28/09/09 13:20:27) Myllinnia: Silveria frowns slightly, "Still I'd feel better if they were down there, doing the reincarnate thing, instead of being up here, weakening things. Though..." she sighs, "I guess we don't help much in that area either."
(28/09/09 13:21:29) Sunrunner: (Sakura) *gestures towards both Solitary Talon and Ta'an Aesin* "These Ladies have the power to help with that. Its' innate to them."
(28/09/09 13:22:01) Andrensath: Solitary Talon nods. "I do, yes. But it requires that we kill them first."
(28/09/09 13:24:23) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "Oh? I would have though an animated corpse would count as already being dead."
(28/09/09 13:27:40) Myllinnia: Silveria turns to Aesin, "Really? You can put them in their place?"
(28/09/09 13:28:14) Andrensath: The Zenith shrugs. "They do, but the Mask's forces are not all animated corpses. Unfortunately."
(28/09/09 13:28:45) Sunrunner: (Aesin) "I am a priest of the unconquered sun, because of my exaltation. I suppose I could. Though I also happen to be an initiated priest in the ancestor cults ... so, maybe?"

(28/09/09 13:35:44) Myllinnia: Silveria raises and eyebrow and looks to all present, "So... what do you like to do, Aesin, Solitary, Li, Sakura? I mean, I like dancing, did you know? Pretty strange for someone who sneaks into rooms do... things."
(28/09/09 13:36:47) Andrensath: Solitary smiles softly at Silveria. "You do? I'd ask for a demonstration, but I fear this might not be the best place."
(28/09/09 13:37:42) Sunrunner: (Aesin) "Song. Especially someone else's singing." (Li) "Practice, practice, practice." (Sakura) "I also enjoy dancing, and song, and singing, and most things people do for entertainment."

(28/09/09 13:39:48) Sunrunner: (Li) "I would hope so. If we didn't have mutual interests of some kind, we'd drive each other mad over the years."
(28/09/09 13:41:00) Myllinnia: "Way too small," she says with a chuckle. "I need a bit of room." Silveria smiles to the others, "We can almost get a troupe together." She chuckles then.
(28/09/09 13:41:49) Andrensath: "Oh, I'd wager we all have at least one mutual interest outside entertaining people, Li." Solitary Talon says, smirking slightly.

(28/09/09 13:46:49) Myllinnia: Silveria blinks in surprise, "Uh well. How many Celestial do you know?"

(28/09/09 13:50:31) Myllinnia: "Nice, it bet it took long to learn them, no? All of that work and dedication must have been trying, yes?"
(28/09/09 13:53:43) Sunrunner: (Li) "Not really. They weren't easy, but its' not like they were hard either. Most such things just come naturally to me."
(28/09/09 13:54:45) Andrensath: "Really? You must be lucky, then. I found the brief amount of time I spent studying them exceedingly difficult."
(28/09/09 13:55:28) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "I am certain that each of us has things that are as simple as breathing, while we struggle over other things."
(28/09/09 13:57:42) Andrensath: Solitary nods. "What are those styles like, Li?"
(28/09/09 13:57:43) Myllinnia: Silveria nods, "Definitely."
(28/09/09 14:07:40) Sunrunner: (Li) "Effective. Blood and Dancing. Whips and Pain. Instinct. Though that doesn't actually answer your question. Sorry. Um ... one is of flowing instinct, knowing and reacting. The other is the power of blood, of my own and others. And the last is an exploration in the limits of what is pleasure, turning it into pain and turning it back into pleasure. Making it just sensation that you can take as you wish it to be."

(28/09/09 14:14:09) Andrensath: Solitary Talon snickers slightly. "I don't know, angel, I can see where controlling sensation might be useful. So, Li, any chance you'd be interested in teaching me this Laughing Wounds style?"
(28/09/09 14:31:23) Sunrunner: (Li) "I ... can. Yes. I don't think you will enjoy the experience, but II will do so if asked."
(28/09/09 14:34:59) Andrensath: "I don't know, love. I've enjoyed some rather kinky experiences before. So, Silveria, what was your life like before we met in Nexus?"
(28/09/09 15:43:37) Myllinnia: "Oh mine?" She frowns, "Well it... uh... interesting." She chuckles, since when has an Exalted Life not become Interesting. "Anyway, my life before our meeting in Nexus was rather... uh unique." She continues. "You see, I'm a troubleshooter, a self proclaimed one. I would visit a place, weed out all sorts of problems and well destroy them. Yes, nothing ever was hard. Until I came back to Nexus. Lots of people have seen benefit in my sneaky, assassination skills, only a few would ever get a chance to use them. And rarer more those that escaped me." Silveria sighs, "Granted I wasn't get rich quickly either, I took many jobs that well... I never took a payment from. And then again... nothing I've done yet has further my own.... goals." She smiles though.

(28/09/09 15:47:38) Myllinnia: "But that's it in a nutshell. I never do suffer much, always had a bed to sleep in, nice food to eat." She nods and looks away, "Well, its really uh not something I think I should tell anyone yet. Last time I told someone my dream, my desire, Shatar Nagi actually bent me over and whipped me a few times." Silveria laughs, "Old lady Shatar never did like me though."

(28/09/09 15:50:31) Andrensath: Solitary Talon nods. "It seems to me that this 'Shatar Nagi' might need a lesson after we conquer Denandsor."
(28/09/09 15:52:03) Myllinnia: Silveria looks twiddles her thumbs, "Uh... well. Its to see a Unified Creation, to ... well actually Unify it. And to do so I thought... to use the Realm for that cause. But... its rather difficult to do, no?"
(28/09/09 15:53:10) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "The Realm is rather broken, given the givens. But if you could fix them, then fixing everyone else wouldn't be so hard."
(28/09/09 15:53:37) Andrensath: "And with enough time my army should be capable of conquering the Realm for you." Solitary Talon says, smiling at Silveria.
(28/09/09 15:54:20) Myllinnia: Silveria nods, "Yes, see, my thoughts exactly. Its not like creating one from nothing. The Realm is pretty much there, it may need a bit of work but I feel its far better than any of the other Projects the Elders use."
(28/09/09 15:54:34) Sunrunner: (Li) "I think she meant to use the Realm the way a Lunar would, as a part of the Thousand Streams, rather than just taking over."
(28/09/09 15:55:35) Sunrunner: (Aesin) "Lunars perforce more subtle than Solars."
(28/09/09 15:55:54) Andrensath: "Really? But I liked the idea of presenting her the Scarlet Throne as a gift."
(28/09/09 15:56:13) Sunrunner: (Aesin) "My point, exactly." She smiles.
(28/09/09 15:57:01) Myllinnia: Silveria smiles to Solitary warmly and looks to the others, "But see before that was the method. Find someone there to make this work, but with the Mask force's rampaging across the East... Its a little more desperate to think more than the Mask is at play here."
(28/09/09 15:57:58) Sunrunner: (Aesin) "With enough power, and Solar's have plenty of power, you can make even the impossible work. Lunars approach the topic sideways, by bending the enemies power around them rather than crashing into it in an overwhelming wave."

(28/09/09 16:23:48) Myllinnia: "Oh nothing... major, you know." She says evasively, as she leans back a bit, "I don't remember those dreams all that clearly. Y, you were there yes, and... this... and that happened in a few."

(28/09/09 16:27:53) Myllinnia: Silveria blushes and bites her lower lip. "Well some of that would be bad. 'T, this' and 'that' dealt with a lot of... bareness." She gets thoughtful suddenly. "Silken sheets, soft pillows, sweet perfumes... Oh and a then one of them had that Abyssal woman in it tying us up. But uh..."

(28/09/09 16:32:52) Andrensath: "Sounds interesting. Especially if she could get hormones going in an eleven year old. Not even Summer Fruit managed that."
(28/09/09 16:37:20) Myllinnia: "Well she has and odd, allure to her. She... distracted me quite thoroughly the last time we actually passed words." Silveria blinks and frowns. "Darn it, and she promised I could use the baths. Sadly I still suspect the baths would have still be tainted."

(28/09/09 16:43:44) Myllinnia: Silveria is thoughtful, "You know... its wrong for me to say it, truly. I had to restrain, I had to force, and even then it was almost not enough. A moment or two later, had not... " she shakes her head harshly. "Well the outcome would have been me and about 2 or 3 Caels having some fun ... maybe."

(29/09/09 12:39:09) Andrensath: "Yes, my love?"
(29/09/09 12:42:21) Myllinnia: Silveria tilts her head with that curious look of hers one could almost think she was a cat totem not a snake, "Solitary dear, you have a major dream, no?" Though she is only slightly curious if she has little dreams of her, which in turn brings her to wonder of Aesin's. She shakes her head and focuses forward.
(29/09/09 12:44:35) Andrensath: "I do, yes. Two, in fact." Solitary Talon replies. "The first is to seat the five of us on the Scarlet Throne, and the second is to annihilate the Mask and all his forces."
(29/09/09 12:46:19) Sunrunner: (Li) "I would make a poor ruler. Good at bossing people around, but lacking the understanding to rule. One of the reasons I don't have a project of my own; I don't feel ready for such."
(29/09/09 12:51:10) Andrensath: "Oh?" Solitary Talon asks, curious. "What about you, angel?"
(29/09/09 12:52:46) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "I've not started a project. I was thinking of the Ten Tribes ..." She shrugs, "But the Realm would work. It would be a tremendous challenge to manage all those dragon-blooded, let alone the mortal population."
(29/09/09 12:53:27) Andrensath: "The Ten Tribes? I'm not sure I've heard of them before."
(29/09/09 15:56:00) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "The Ten Tribes are a smallish group to the south and east of here. Nothing much of interest at the moment, but it would be easy to step in and turn them into a project." She smiles, "Of course, that would take me away from here ... and I like here for the moment."
(29/09/09 15:56:59) Andrensath: "Oh, ok." The Solar pauses for a moment."What exactly does turning something into a project involve?"
(29/09/09 15:58:57) Myllinnia: "A lot of work, a lot of patience, and a lot of hoping things go well." Silveria remarks with a frown. "But then I never was a part of one, just what I understood from my former mentor."
(29/09/09 16:01:59) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "Power behind the throne, society shaping, introducing new habits, taboos, ideas. Turning the people and the society into an experiment in building societies. Ultimately so that you can take what you learned from there and go forward to make better socieities. Halta is an example, by Silver and Rain, of a Thousand Streams project."

(29/09/09 16:04:42) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "Yes. A better society is one that survives conflict with other societies and with the dangers of the world. Anything that lets a society survive makes it better. Its' a Lunar thing."
(29/09/09 16:05:39) Sunrunner: (Li) "You can blame the elders for that. They saw society die. So they decided to try finding a society that couldn't. And that takes time. They are still looking."
(29/09/09 16:06:47) Andrensath: Solitary Talon's frown deepens."Strange. It seems to me that the only society which cannot die is one which never lived to begin with."
(29/09/09 16:08:12) Sunrunner: (Li) "And there is the reason why I'm not interested." (Sakura)"There is that argument. But they are bound to try."
(29/09/09 16:09:08) Sunrunner: (Aesin) "Sounds more obsession than rational action. Like scarred survivors, they want to make sure they can never be hurt again."
(29/09/09 16:11:08) Andrensath: "It does. But I suppose they have reasons to be scarred, as they did survive the Usurpation."
(29/09/09 16:15:00) Myllinnia: Silveria is silent for a moment,"Which is why this cycle of things must change. This current order isn't sound, the old order required much on the old things. So I hope to help create a new order, one that I hope is able to defend Creation, as well as remember the mistakes of the past and endure."
(29/09/09 16:17:09) Andrensath: Solitary Talon smiles at her lover."Oh? What do you plan to base your new order upon?"
(29/09/09 16:17:44) Sunrunner: (Sakura) "So you wish to turn the Realm into a project. We would help yet ..." (Li) "I don't think we have the time it would take. There have been rumblings along the edges about a potential wyld crusade ... One has to hope they are wrong, or that our Elders are more powerful than they appear."
(29/09/09 16:20:20) Myllinnia: "Well, yes I agree time is short, no Project can be done in that time, so we have to snag it quickly and with certainty. I... I don't know how to break the current Realm to allow this, but... unless those Dragonblooded fools don't understand it, soon it will be only they. So maybe there is something in that. No one in Creation can rely on the chance that power in the realm will remain idle." Silveria sighs,"I just don't know... how to go about doing it."

(29/09/09 16:52:49) Myllinnia: Silveria gives her a side long glance and smiles, "I admired your Great Grandmother, dad and mother thought it was quite unhealthy for me as a child."
(29/09/09 16:53:03) Andrensath: "That would be more likely, Li. However, Father was a Lost Egg from the West. He had blue hair. Somehow that combined with Mother's red to give me purple. And truly? Why did they do that, Silveria?"

(29/09/09 16:57:11) Andrensath: "I see. Who were your parents, if you don't mind my asking?"
(29/09/09 17:00:17) Myllinnia: Silveria is thoughtful,"Cathak Zhao and Cathak Azeala, were my parents, unexalted of course."
(29/09/09 17:02:06) Andrensath: "Oh, I see." Solitary Talon thinks for a moment."Hmmm. I seem to remember one of my aunts marrying into the Cathak household. Maybe we're kissing cousins?"
