	Saint Carmund is one of the older saints~~, known~~ particularly ~~for~~ miracles of healing, of driving vermin out of a house, and finding and punishing a witch. The stories of Saint Carmund tell particularly of various miracles of healing, a story of miraculously driving vermin out of a house, and the finding and punishing a witch who was cursing a town. He had a passion for cleanliness and his tenets are well known -- "Service to thy lord is service to the High Lord. Thou shalt not suffer a rat to live. The blessings of god will be shriven from the unclean."
