	Irina’s a thinker. She prefers to think things out, sometimes to death, to uncover all the angles. She loves puzzles and word games, mysteries and tracking down clues. Her father shared this bent as a NYPD Homicide detective, and when she was growing up, he would share parts of his work with Irina over dinner. Nothing from current cases he worked on but elements culled from many different cases and presented as a hypothetical crime with a clearly defined victim, perp, and means, motive and opportunity. <br><br>		Irina’s a thinker. She did it in a competitive environment in a crime-ridden city, in as short a time as possible while stinting nothing in her performance as a beat cop. She had a good run before being sidelined by a job-incurred injury. Her recovery ~~from it~~ was ~~imcomplete~~ despite her iron will to succeed and after span of chronic illness, she was retired from the force on disability. It was a crushing blow but Irina didn’t take it lying down. She picked herself up and pushed herself to earn a private investigator’s license.
