			Anna was born to Hans and Svetlana Jaegar. Hans is the current patriarch of the Jaegar family, a German family renowned for resisting Grindelwald's reign, and before that, as hunters of Dark creatures. The family is the accepted caretakers of the Black Forest in Germany, though that is far from what all they do. Anna's mother, Svetlana is a muggleborn witch trained to be a night witch in Russia, a special classification of witch where muggleborn magic users were trained deeply in combat magic and magic useful in resisting and understanding the Dark arts and creatures... and nothing else. Displaying a surprising longevity (reaching adulthood) Svetlana met Hans when the latter crossed into Russian territory to hunt down a fleeing Deatheater who first tried to hide in Germany. The two fell in love and moved to the Jaegar mansion, and soon had Anna.

			The pair still kept up their usual activities, despite the high threshold of danger, though as they got older brushes with death became more frequent. Hans, worrying about leaving Anna alone, accepted a position as teacher in Hogwarts rather, hoping not to leave his only daughter an orphan. Svetlana is currently residing bsck home, arranging the Wyld Hunt that is carried out every 3 years, to cull the Darkness within the forest.

			Up until the start of this year, Anna was a model student in Dumstrang, and she was none too happy to move with her father to Hogwarts. Unfortunately, she had little choice in the matter.

			The Jaegar's actually have a standing arrangement with Ollivander, delivering wood from the forest under their care, in return for quality wands, and Anna visited the wandmaker when she was starting out in Dumstrang. She went through a bevy of wands before settling on a dark piece, the wand calling to her. Ollivander chuckled as he handed it over. "Your home is not far from you, it seems miss."
