Another young member of the Gree Regents did something stupid and tried to steal a "little trinket" from the OLYMPUS contingent just to say he did. He got caught, and there were massive negotiations for his life. The Gree traders lost their shirt, and Belus swore to protect Titania from thieves and all other threats whenever they are in the same place. Titania and the others from OLYMPUS accepted this as part of the bargain for the cousin's life. Belus keeps it for a combination of reasons. First, it hasn't come up much. He's a guard by occupation, and on trade expeditions he ends up guarding both Regents and someone from OLYMPUS. Second, something about honour. And Third, since the <<Extremely violent event involving Brother Raven>>, Belus feels a lot of responsibility to act exactly the way Regents are "supposed to" act
