Elliot can’t replace Rick, but at least maybe~~ he ~~can be brave and be there for him~~.		It was Raymond who brought him back from the guilt. Silly, laughing, never-say-die Raymond who wouldn't let him sulk in his room and beat himself up. Raymond who got him drunk the first time, Raymond who introduced him to the dubious wonders of his secret collection, Raymond who dragged him into schemes, pranks, and adventures until he had to cheer up in sheer self-defense.

He hates the idea of Raymond being a pilot. He already lost someone he cared about that way. But the Resistance needs everyone - so if Raymond's going to do it, Evan's not going to let someone else be responsible for bringing him home alive.

			And he's sweet. That’s really the right word for it. He wants people to be happy, and he hates conflict and fighting. He was the kid at the bottom of the pecking order for a long time on the streets of Oakland, running from gangs and hiding from monsters. He’s always been pretty, delicate, and that’s a recipe for being miserable when toughness and hardness is what keeps you alive. He had to do a lot of things he hated to stay alive and safe, but he’s learned to keep his chin up no matter what.
