			He thought Gareth had given him a milk run, deliver a short (memorized) message regarding troop strength in various locations and their recent movements to the Gnome 'Veal Letticue' in Grover's Hollow. No matter, it meant a week of good eating instead of constant hunger pangs.

	Things went from bad to worse when the Gnome 'Veal Letticue' revealed itself to be the dragon Varlathis, charged the Scroll Bearers with a mission, and took to the air to engage the orks. 	~~Cyrus knew that if he went home, he would doom everyone he cared about merely by being near~~ them~~- avoiding Ork patrols was one thing~~, ~~but~~ the ~~presence~~ of ~~a Dragon meant Izrador's Legates would be scrying anything and everything that took place here.~~

	~~So he decided that Varlathis wouldn't mind loaning him a minor knicknack from~~ her ~~hoard that would be useful on the mission she wanted accomplished, and took a Rapier of elven make and exquisite quality "for the duration of the mission"~~.

	~~Whoops~~.		Then things got <i>really</i> complicated.
