Way back when the world was young, Ea was the very first water to ever rain, which apparently gave her enough significance for an Imperator to decide to make her a Power an eon or sixteen later. (It also made her Kind Of A Big Deal among water, but she tries to be modest about it.) Being a sapient human-shaped collection of water makes fitting in a little hard, and she's still not sure how she feels about this whole 'self-awareness' thing, nor does she really understand people that well.
