The Fae and magic make travel through the woods dangerous; so for as long history has known, all travel has been through air. Balloons at first, and later powered flight. Zeppelins and cargo airplanes ply the trade routes alongside cargo airplanes, and fighters escort them against aerial pirates, bandits and worse.
