Brother Xerkiel has served his Chapter for 300 years. He is wise, methodical and stoic as is common among his brethren. And like his brethren he wears no honors or adornments save the rust red helm of the Techmarine, the Cog of the Machine Cult and on his left shoulder, the Skull and Crux of the Deathwatch. Of his 300 years of service, nearly 50 of them were spent in the Jericho Reach seconded to the Deathwatch where he spent three duty rounds, the first two as Tech Marine and the last, which ended but recently, as Deathwatch Forge Master and Keeper of the Vault. Not that he ever speaks of his duties there nor what he has witnessed within the depths of the Fortress.

So when the Master of the Tomb Brothers gave the command to awaken Captain Jibrael, it was Xerkiel who made the ancient warrior ready and it is Xerkiel who maintains his adamantine body.
