			Sports is an interesting chapter of Avalon. Avalon was created by Corwin while he was thinking of Bohemian Paris of 1900 on Earth. Much of Avalon is earth-related. 1900 was also the year of the Olympic Games held in Paris. While Avalon does not have an international Olympic movement it does have a strong driving ethic of sports and sporting competitions.

			As such sports occupies a major part in the culture of Avalon.
