His parents were close to a Jakobi couple who were also fervent Revisionists who had a daughter named Jakobi Felicity. It was natural that the two should be twin bonded. Marriage was arranged between the two as a matter of course and took place before the two left for training. Unfortunately, the War of the Alliance erupted and Malkom was thrown into combat as soon as he graduated training. The Bear Malkom was assigned to was converted to a Mauler Bear and he was assigned to protect against GREL troopers. Malkom was injured in the final push and spent a season in the infirmary recovering. As he did so, Malkom had learned his mother died in riots caused by the War of the Alliance. After serving in Operation: CUSTODIAL ENGINEER. an attempt to curtail Badlanders who had taken advantage of the War of the Alliance, Malkom had reached his commitment and had opted out of service, in order to take care of the family side of things. Not willing to come directly into contact with his family, Malkom keeps his distance while serving to rebuild his honor and reputation.
