As they were just starting out, they had to make do with whatever facilities they could find, so they based themselves out of a run-down industrial district far from Capitol Center. This section of the planet/city was not the most desirable location, least of all for the local Imperial Army garrison. This location was considered a disciplinary posting for the Imperial military. But the Army captain who ran the place decided to make the posting worth his while. He did so by shaking down the residents and businesses for protection money.<br /> <br /> The money got tight for Lucian and his partners, and they ended up late making a payment to the Captain. The Captain decided to make an example of this upstart enterprise as he took 3 squads of Army troopers and raided the salvage facility. They rounded up and executed all but 3 of the workers. Lucian, armed only with his blaster pistol, exchanged fire with the troops and got the other two employees to safety.<br /> <br /> The Empire will not let this go unpunished.
