Conall Dunn was a 22-year-old college student, studying engineering at Oregon University. He and some friends (Marcia, Tomas, Frank and Susie) had decided to head out on a week-long camping trip in the wilds of British Columbia before classes resumed in the fall, intending to fish, hike, explore, and generally blow off steam. Conall wasn’t much of an outdoorsman, but he went along because it sounded like fun, a good excuse to spend a week hanging out with friends and wasting time (and maybe getting closer to Marcia).

The first two nights were pleasant enough, although the nights were marked by the howling of wolves. On the third night, something attacked their camp. Conall’s memories are blurred and disjointed, but he remembers a large, hairy creature attacking, killing his friends and savagely wounding him. He fled into the woods in a panic, and has no idea how he survived.

Conall’s attacker was a werewolf, and he spent the next month or two roaming the Canadian wilderness in a semi-feral state, living like a wild beast with only occasional moments of lucidity. He eventually stumbled into the town of XX, where he met Maggie Donner, who mistook him for some sort of lupine cryptid and tried to converse with him. The experience dredged up the memories that he, himself was also human, and caused him to revert back to human form.

Conall currently lives with Jim Beauregard, hunts monsters, does odd jobs, and plays bass in a garage band known as the Mad Fools.
