This device is essentially a reinforced boiler on wheels. It is moved or constructed a safe distance from the targeted castle, out of range of its defenses. The ramming end is pointed at the target. Then the steam pressure is built up (magically or mundanely), and then released through a quick release valve. This causes the object to be propelled toward the wall or gate, more or less. This keeps the weilders of the weapon at a safe distance. Except if the first attempt doesn't knock down the wall or gate, then it must be retrieved and brought back to a safe distance again.</ins></div></td></tr>
