In a way, he's her big brother figure, always offering advice from her shoulder and looking out for his beloved imouto-san...

This typically involves lots of incantations, props and magic mandalas drawing themselves in the air around her as she conjures up various effects. ~~However~~, her ~~magic abilities are inexplicably weaker than most other magical girls~~, ~~so she uses her own athleticism~~ to ~~give~~ her ~~that extra edge, mastering a strange blend of kung fu~~, ~~summoning and magic~~ in ~~battling the monsters of darkness~~. She then combines spell effects with fighting techniques learned from Lovely Princess Yuki herself, before she turned bad.

			It should be noted that Fei-Yen has no power at all without her pendant, the Icon of the Defender. This may have something to do with the large seal on her back, which only Seiki has seen in its entirety.
