			==General Background==

			By the God-Emperor's Grace, Marcella Sola. Raised amid the ancient laws and customs of the Hive World of Thical in the Drusus Marches of the Calixis Sector, she was drafted into the Guard upon reaching majority. Trained quickly and sent into war on planets she'd never even heard of, against creatures she could barely conceive of, her faith in the Emperor saw her through countless harrowing engagements.

			After a few years of constant battle and travel from one theatre of war to the next, she grew disillusioned. She started questioning the orders of newly minted officers with the cynicism of a veteran... and one day snapped at the incompetent ordering her squad into an obvious (to her at least) death trap.

			She fled as the Officer opened fire in retaliation. From the safety of distance she saw the Guardsmen slaughtered under a sea of green xenos flesh. Knowing the penalty for disobeying orders and unsure if the Officer had survived, she crept back to HQ to relay the lost battle.

			To her surprise, the God-Emperor had smiled upon a certain Commissar that day, and despite the heavy losses, the battle had been won! Unfortunately, whether or not the Officer had also survived, he had managed to report her for cowardice, treason, disobeying direct orders and heresy. Her details were sent to the Adeptus Arbites and a bounty placed upon her head.

			At a loss of what to do, or where to go, she stayed low and prayed to the Emperor for guidance. He delivered. Within weeks of that fateful battle she was press-ganged to serve aboard a Rogue Trader vessel, and by twist of fate the newly minted Captain was the very same Hero-Commissar of the battle she had fled from!

			The ship was large, but not large enough, and before too long her face was recognised by someone who cared enough to report it. She was arrested, lashed, imprisoned and her presence reported to the Captain. It took her three weeks to escape the cells. As she was being carried to another round of public flogging she managed to overpower her guard and bolt though the corridors of the ship... straight into the body of the Captain, who had at last come to this section of the ship to pass judgement. The dark powers laughed that day!

			He recognised her, and her company markings from that fateful day. Upon returning her to the cell, he asked many questions of her in private. And when he left the cell, she was by his side as his Arch-Militant. Now more than ever she seeks her fortune among the stars, always keeping a wary eye out for trouble. Her Data-Slate of wanted bounties includes her own, and she keeps it to remind herself that the Emperor moves in mysterious ways - she is now paradoxically freer than she has ever been in her life, and yet hunted like a common criminal across the Imperium.
