			The secret that will break the curse surrounding Castle Amber and lift the gray mists is engraved on the inside lid of Stephen Amber's casket. The ring and potion can be found in Averiogne, our homeland.

			Touch the ring to the viper's tail, anoint the sword with the potion, shatter the mirror with the sword, to make Prince Stephen's tomb will appear.

He is a powerful and dangerous man to cross, so I would leave those notions behind. He does, however, pay quite handsomely for news and stories of the world. What business draws you to Ximes? If it's with the Bishop, tread carefully and make sure it's in hand when you leave. Or is it in the festering swamps beyond..." He spits in disgust at the swamps. "Ximes is the religious center of Avergoine, as it is ruled and controlled by Azedarc, the Bishop of Ximes. Some say he's a practitioner of the dark arts, though anyone saying that had better watch themselves. The last who accused him of that were excommunicated and hanged for sacrilege. "Sylaire is a ruined chateau, east of the Inn of Bonne Jouissance. They say that Sephora, chatelaine of Sylaire still inhabits the ruins, though she would have to be more than mortal for that rumor to be true. They also say that no man can resist doing her will. If she is there, then be careful my lords, for she indeed has powers well beyond mortals, for she predates the Inquisition, such that her powers would not be subject to it's binding. They say that she is held there against her will, held in siege by one Malachie du Marias who has kept her trapped in the chateau all of these years, while it deteriorated around her. Why would you know of such a place and why would you want to travel there?"

"Voynes is the capital of Averoigne. Gaspard du Nord is a wise man. They say he studied sorcery, but saw the error of his ways and recanted that knowledge. His former master, Nathaire, was outlawed and sent into the wilderness for practicing the dark arts, but Gaspard did not follow him. Nathard has declared revenge on the city, but nothing has happened last I knew. What business would you have with Gaspard?"

"Luc le Chaudronnier lives in the city of Perigon, to the west. I have heard the name, but little more."
