 Randy "Van" Styles, driver of the equipment Van for Team Extreem all around prop master and wizard of things Techno, Van was a big time hacker with a strong wit and sharp intelligence he strongly believed in personal rights and freedoms of the individuals he knew all kinds of great stuff about how to get off of weed possession charges on obscure rights laws and technicalities. It was inevitable he would become a lawyer.  He was Jack's roommate in Goergetown.  He was Jack's confidant someone Jack could always trust or count on for loyalty and help and to keep his secrets. Van always was up for an adventure but he lived his through cyberspace he lacked a catalyst to get him in trouble in the "real world" Until he met Jack.  Jack would come up with a wild idea for something stupid to do and there would be Van, his wing man.  Van would like to see himself as an athelete like the rest of Team Extreem! but, really, he's more of a brain; he's always idolized that about Jack.  Yet of all Jack's friends, it's Van who knows how deeply Jack realy cares for his father and how torn apart he is by his on again off again relationship with his family.  He knows how deeply the death of uncle John John affected Jack and he spent many a night hanging out with Jack when he should have been studying in order to keep a suicide watch.  He'd tell his wife latter all kinds of stories about his friend, "Jack Jack" as he liked to call him.  He would have confided to his wife at some point that he honestly thought jack commited suicide when he disappeared and that he felt like it was his fault; that if he was there, he could have stoped it.  It was this catalyst in his life that sent Randy in a more serious direction.  Though still an idealist, he now looks for big causes to fight for and it could one day bring him aginst the wrong kind of enemy...
