	The city of Alfein was founded more than a thousand years ago by the legendary brothers in arms, ~~Roghlan~~ and Zelligar the Unknown. The pair were hardly what you would call upstanding citizens but were amongst the greatest adventurers of all time. The pair of them managed to defeat the massive nest of Netherdeep horrors that was dwelling in the area and seize a mighty cache of gold they intended to use to build their own ~~kindgom~~. In time, they defeated the local barbarians and their descendants married into the developing nation of Winterweir to become its capital's nobility.
