	The Royal Assault Regiment (Emperor's Own) is unusual. It is an ~~heavily over~~ augmented Assault Regiment with no armor. Instead, at all levels, it forgoes armor and swaps in extra heavy weapon and line squads (or at higher levels, companies and ~~Battalions~~). The regiment specializes in assaults on heavily fortified rebel outposts and being on the front lines. Though such duties result in high casualties, it is considered an honour to be part of the "Emperor's Own" due to its high standards of training. Because to this training, the regiment does away with the standard security platoons in its Battalion and Regimental levels, with the extra men being support staff. In addition, each line squad carries a light repeating blaster to increase firepower. Due to the regiment's size, it rarely deploys as a full unit, but instead as battalions (although companies have occasionally been deployed for planets that require ~~quick strikes~~).
