BethE: A question for the group - how much party planning details are wanted? Like decorations and so forth?

* Theresa ponders. "Who are some of the Nobles that you enjoy meeting with, Samuel? If I may ask."

Carrie: (That an rpgnet reference?) 
Random_Nerd: "Well, I haven't really met many in person, and... well, Dionyl Nobles are tied up in our culture in some weird ways. The Triad and his Familia? I do miss the colors."

DanteE: "Actually, that's a good point... 
Theresa: "Weirder ways than you've already described? Huh..." 
DanteE: "Since this is an Earth chancel, would Dionyl nobles have ... difficulties?" 
Theresa: *more to herself* "Then again, I'm sure we're pretty weird on our own..." 
Random_Nerd: S: "Well... what would it be like if you could run into Vishu on a streetcorner, and he'd glance at you, twitch, and then for the next few weeks everything's yellow and you hear ghosts talking to you?" 
DanteE: "For us? About normal." 
Theresa: *blink* "Before enNobling, probably traumatic. Now...I'd get him a muscle relaxant." 
Random_Nerd: "I mean, reality struggles happen between normal people all the time, of course, but it's pretty casual. Even minor Nobles deform reality a lot just by being there." 
Random_Nerd: "I guess it's a little like the weird insanity thing you get here, but it's less directly traumatic and more like... noise pollution, maybe?" 
DanteE: to the others: "Maybe we should stick to Earth Nobles." 
Theresa: "In what ways? I haven't really noticed any...except the odd Brian groupie since we revealed ourselves...." 
Theresa: (Hmm...so Dionyls don't cause DA?) 
Random_Nerd: S: "Well, it wouldn't do that /here/, obviously. Your epistemology's all different." 
* DanteE makes a mental note to check out Dante fansites... 
Random_Nerd: (DA is caused by the Prosaic/Mythic split. That's earth-specific.) 
Theresa: (Dante - Brian's Beloved of Populace, though... <g>)

Theresa: (Ah, yes, because it's the Earth that got meteor-smacked, not Dionyl.) 
Random_Nerd: S: "Anything else I can help you with?" 
* Theresa shakes her head even though Sam can't see it. "Nope on my end...how about you guys?" *looks at Dante and Brian* 
DanteE: (yes. Bring us a pizza.)

DanteE: "Well... I think, once William gets back, we'll go ahead and finalize a guest list." 
Random_Nerd: He looks down at his notebook, pats it with a bundle of scarves and says "Okay, now, back to you." 
Theresa: (You made the conference room, Dante...you didn't put in an automatic mad-science pizza maker? Tsk, tsk...) 
Brian: (I don't think we have the points for auto-pizza makers... though imagine what that would do to the Chancel!) 
DanteE: (didn't think of it at the time!) 
Theresa: (Ah, yes, Amyra, the _new_ Italy.) 
DanteE: (oh, just use a 423-J and put in 'pizza' where it says 'machinegun'.) 
Theresa: (Lesser Div via Plants for any of them near Carrie?) 
Random_Nerd: (Are there, Etheric?)

Carrie: (Yes, but trying to juggle a few things that unexpectedly came up.) 
Theresa: (... I just realized something...once we have the wall all fixed on Monty's old room...isn't it an infite room still? We could have the party there, if we wanted. A little too close to the Heart, though.) 
Random_Nerd: (Yeah, it's still all tardisy.) 
Theresa: (Okay, then Noble volleyball...or tennis, since that's what the boss is enjoying at the moment.) 
Theresa: "So, we have an approximate guest list, give or take a god or two. The idea of a tour of the Palace was batted about..." 
DanteE: "Not likely to go over well with King John, though" 
Theresa: "That's why we innocently ask first. And plus, perhaps we should invite him as well. I mean, he was asked to be a Noble and turned it down because of his already great responsiblities." 
DanteE: "good point." 
Theresa: "I wonder how protected he is from DA..." 
Theresa: "How long were we wanting the party to last? Or even to start?" 
Brian: "I suspect that party length is the least of our worries... *grin*" 
DanteE: "What we could do for entertainment... 
Theresa: "Well, one should always be prepared for the unwelcome guest that _just_ _won't_ _leave_." 
DanteE: "...maybe have a competition for best-looking Domain miracle? Assuming everybody accepts a no-permanent-damage rule... 
Theresa: "And have the Angel of the Moon judge? I'm afraid to offer the Boss, since he'd probably think that milk turning into cheese is cool if that's what's on his mind at the time." 
Theresa: (So, ghost-miracle showing off...hmm...) 
Theresa: "And what for prizes? As hosts, it wouldn't be fair for us to compete." 
DanteE: "Why not? As long as we promise not to use Realm." 
Theresa: "But wouldn't it look like we were only throwing the party to show how powerful we are?" 
DanteE: "not if we solicit other Nobles for the competition. :)" 
* Theresa smiles a bit wryly. "Okay, Dante, you're in charge of the games, then." 
Carrie: (I'll be online, but there's other stuff I must do.)

DanteE: RN, question: if we create food with a Realm Creation, what happens when the people who ate it leave the chancel?

Theresa: (The Nobilis equivalent of Chinese food?) 
Random_Nerd: (They'd be fine. Digested food's been changed enough that it's part of them.) 
DanteE: In that case we can create the ultimate spread. :) 
Theresa: (But of course. <G> Although it might be interesting enough to get nonMiracled food from around Amyra as well. 'Local color' and so forth.)

Theresa: (And now I have this urge to put on a fake British accent and talk about the quaint little shop that I found these Marvoloean tea cookies in...)

Random_Nerd: (Who cares if it did? You want it to have not survived? Bam, it didn't, so you can recreate it.)

DanteE: (got interested in it IRL, not here. BUt it'll work. :) 
DanteE: "Anyway... so, how long do you think it'll take William to get our soldiers back?" 
Theresa: "Should we leave decorating to Carrie or just let the Chancel shine for itself like the jewel that it is...when we aren't letting rabbits rampage." 
DanteE: "We could set off some fireworks." 
Theresa: "Hmm...not sure. I have lots of confidence in William but no idea on how well he'd be able to smooze through the Mexican military government." 
Theresa: "After that vision of Carrie's...fireworks seem almost..tame." 
Random_Nerd: (And remember, governments on average are more corrupt on Entropy's Earth than they are in the real world.) 
DanteE: (is that even possible? :) 
Theresa: (They're even more blantant for bribery. It's probably like a bad Rocky and Bullwinkle sketch.) 
Random_Nerd: (Well, nobody's ever really heard of presumption of innocence and so on.) 
Random_Nerd: (And graft probably isn't even concealed.) 
Theresa: (We did give Will lots of bribe money, right?) 
Random_Nerd: (Yeah.) 
Random_Nerd: (But in addition to taking bribes, getting things done in a corrupt government is really slow and ineffcient. Even more than a regular bureaucracy!)

DanteE: "Anyway... that's once we decide on a guest list. We're getting ahead of ourselves..." 
Theresa: "Consequences, his Family, Physics, Faith, History...are you sure you want Fear, Dante?" 
DanteE: "...I'm going to un-characteristically be prudent about that and say no. :) " 
Theresa: "Ooookay." *scratches that out* "I still think it'd be nice to invite some Dionyl Nobles, and we wanted the Angel of the Moon...what other Angels might like to look at the Treasures?" 
DanteE: "Just about all of them" 
DanteE: "We are talking about the Ark." 
Theresa: (How much do we know about Angels, just from being Nobles?) 
Random_Nerd: (Say, everything in the White Book? They were the first Imperators, they live in Heaven, they created many many things, they're often but not always pricks, they follow the Code of Heaven, and so on.) 
DanteE: ( ... maybe we should ask Kudzu before we let in the Angel of the Moon... 
DanteE: ( all we know is that they played tennis once.) 
Theresa: (So we know that their Heaven isn't necessarily connected to the Judeah afterlife and the God of the Covenant whose Ark this is?) 
Random_Nerd: (it's similar in some ways... but they generally don't let humans it.) 
Theresa: (True. She may have kicked his butt badly. While wearing tiny tennis shorts.) 
Random_Nerd: (It's pretty much just Powers who follow the Heavenly code, their anchors, and a handful of others.) 
Random_Nerd: (Err, let humans /in/.) 
Theresa: (Ahh. Just trying to figure out why the Angels would be interested in this if that God isn't the Creator...if He is, then yeah, of course, it'd make sense to tourist...) 
DanteE: "Come to think of it there might be a few Angels _in_ the Ark..." 
Theresa: *blink* "I've heard of a lot of trunk space, but isn't that a bit rediculous?" 
Random_Nerd: (Oh, and from what John said before, there's reason to believe that angels have a history of occasionally coming to see the Ark.) 
Random_Nerd: (Whether these were actual Celestial Imperators, of course, is unknown.) 
DanteE: "They're not all our size, remember?" 
Theresa: (Ahh. Since he sensed another presence. Heck, could have even been the Angel of the Moon at that.) 
* Theresa lightly slaps her own cheek. "Yep, that'll teach me for being humo-centric. 
Theresa: " 
Random_Nerd: (By the way, does Theresa still have a skeleton-hand?) 
Theresa: "If so, then no wonder John has such a haunted expression at times." 
Theresa: (Yep. Figured it's a good reminder, at least for a while. Want her to try to heal it up before the party? We're not close enough to Halloween and I think she'd make a lousy pirate...) 
* DanteE points to the hand. "You don't need to keep that, you know." 
* Theresa looks at it. Almost like it was a hand belonging to someone else. "I think I need it. At least for a while. To remind me not to jump into something before thinking things through. And also to remind myself that if I was insane, I would use it to slap Consequence's Imperator." 
DanteE: "You sure you're not?" 
DanteE: "Considering where are what we are? 
Theresa: "Hmm..haven't checked lately." 
DanteE: :) 
Theresa: "Nah, I think if I was insane, there'd be a lot more evidence of it lying about. A lot more plants coming out of random spots and so forth. More poison ivy or tree of heaven or such." 
* DanteE looks around... 
Random_Nerd: (Hmm. Do you mind if we end the game soon?) 
* Theresa _will not_ cover Dante's chair in his real office with poison ivy oil. Nope, nope, nope, nope... 
Theresa: (I'm okay with ending whenever you are. I seem to have become silly over the last bit...) 
Brian: (I'm fine with ending) 
DanteE: (Actually, we may have reached the end of what we can do until William gets back) 
DanteE: "Just checking. :)" 
* Theresa grins. 
Theresa: (Hmm..._when_ did we want to have the party?) 
Brian: (the week after I get back from Harmony College? :-P) 
DanteE: (considering our potential guest of honor... next full moon night?) 
Theresa: (Hmm, that does sound like a good idea. Who wants to be the one to tell the boss about the party?) 
DanteE: (OK... IC, which of us would you say has the best relationship with Mr. Oddbranch?) 
Random_Nerd: (*smiles mysteriously*) 
Theresa: (*whine* I don't wanna play rock/paper/scissors with Dante...I can only throw paper and he only throws scissors...) 
Theresa: (*sigh* But I'll do it. Next session?)

DanteE: (I've yelled at him in the past, sort of, and Theresa just got burned)

BethE: *sigh* Hopefully. I'm just very tired of frustrating RN with my computer problems. Although it's weird...he threatens it and...it works.

Lazarus: Beth: when percussive maintenance doesn't work, the threat of such normally does :p 
Knockwood: keep a fire axe in the computer room. 
Lazarus: My fantasy setting that I just devised (basically, I want to do dungeon crawls, and have them make sense): It's common, in this world, for high-powered wizards to magically carve out a space in the ground, and fill it with traps and monsters, in order to one-up each other in designing the strangest dungeons possible. 
BethE: I just want to enjoy my games in piece, read my comics and forums and kill and loot things in Anarchy. 
Lazarus: ... piece? 
Knockwood: you cut your games into pieces? 
Lazarus: peace, surely?

BethE: *facepalm* *sigh* Someone defrag my brain while you are at it...
