No matter their size they are feared by all pirates.~~		Fourth rate vessels are the smallest ships of line. Their duties roughly correspond to those of a modern-day destroyer—primarily patrol, border defense, and the escort of larger warships. They are almost as well armed as their larger sisters, but are more maneuverable and able to operate in shallower waters. This is the most common type of vessel used by the Dutch navy.
