However, I figure voluntarily dramatic failures on social rolls will produce this effect. Simon is motivated to establish as chambers a high school (possibly the one he goes to) and a carnival or fair of some kind (ferris wheel, food carts & game booths, funhouse, all that stuff.) He wants his horror to become an urban legend, something people believe in and fear. Thus, he likes to go after people for serious offenses rather than trivial ones. He lives in a converted attic bedroom with its own fire-escape exit. His parents basically put him as far away from the center of his family life as it was possible to do without actually making him live in the back yard.
