Backstory
Solomon Okoye was born in Yola, Nigeria. He and his older brother (Elijah)spent much of their free time roaming the wilds outside of the city. Their grandfather, Mtume, resented the modernization of Nigeria took great pains to teach his grandsons "the old ways" as he called them. The boys would often accompany their grandfather and his group on their journeys to Chappal Waddi, called "the mountain of death".

During one week-long stay in the mountains, Solomon and two other boys slipped away from the camp during the night and travelled higher into the mountains. The boys were tracking a strange animal-like sound none of the boys had heard before. The boys had rounded a blind switchback when they found the source of the noise. Solomon was never able to describe what had attacked the boys, he stumbled back into the camp screaming. He awoke nine days later with four long scars across his face.

Solomon spent the rest of his childhood working in his father's shop learning to repair whatever came in, radios, radiators or rifles. Solomon never gave up roaming the wilds around Yola.
Solomon did not go into the mountains again until he and Elijah joined the 82nd West African Division.

Solomon and his brother Elijah were among a squad of 82nd Division soldiers sent to Norway for Advanced Mountain Warface Training. Solomon volunteered for the Trellborg mission over his brother's objections (and hatred of cold weather) hoping to earn advancement.

Personal description
Solomon is about 5' 9" weighing 12 stone 6 lb. He is brown-skinned with a shaved bald head. He has four claw-like scars across his face and left eye, though his vision is perfect.
He hates the cold and will probably never stop complaining.

Ideology/Beliefs
Solo is very superstitious. He does not believe in any particular god, instead accepting any and all of them.
