Constantly practicing or playing a part, Charlotte knows more about characters than herself it would seem and thus, lives life as though she were them. Ever a lady, this Nosferatu could be considered one of the creepiest ‘princesses’ around.

			Charlotte was born in in 1927, her father being Harry J. Batt, the founder of Pontchartrain Beach Amusement Park. Raised in an acting and performing family, she was encouraged from a young age to perform for the entertainment of others. To turn frowns upside down and help people forget their troubles once they entered the amusement park. Trained professionally in dancing and gymnastics, Charlotte took an interest in ballet by age eight.
			Once the depression hit, traveling ballets and operas became scarce. She continued to participate in shows at her fathers’ park, but longed to break into a professional ballet setting, which at the time only existed out of state. In 1943, the New Orleans Opera Association was created, giving Charlotte a chance to dance professionally at a permanent establishment rather than at shows held at her father’s amusement park. And so she did. She danced and danced to her hearts content, still living in the world she’d grown up in; a fairytale and constant stage.

			In 1946, Charlotte was the Prima Ballerina in Giselle. After her second performance, she received a bouquet of roses from an admirer. So taken by the short yet sweet card included, Charlotte wrote back to the admirer her thanks. This began a flow of letters between the two, and Charlotte became enamored with the man who would write such nice things about her. After much beckoning, Charlotte convinced the man to meet her after the ballet so she could lay eyes upon the man she loved. Unfortunately, this princess did not come face to face with a prince, but a monster. Frightened by Wither’s appearance, Charlotte attempted to flee from him. Rebuffed, Wither Embraced her out of spite, forcing her to be within his company in undeath.

			Bound by blood bond and lineage, Charlotte was kept as Wither’s personal entertainment and forced to dance and act for his amusement. Unlike her older sibling Ghast, Charlotte was not allowed to pursue anything outside of what she was designated. To further mock her, Wither simply referred to Charlotte as Tutu.
