Jack is late to the meeting due to a vision he has received from the Dark Pharaoh, which has left him disoriented. While he is recovering from this, a strange wanderer, Mr. Valentine, steals into his room and rifles through his journals and (meager) stuff. 	By ~~strange~~ coincidence, Redland's vision featured Valentine as a major player. He introduces Valentine to the rest of the group (in particular, Auda, Rebecca, Carl, Henrik, and Boris). They feel each other out and Valentine agrees to accompany the group. It seems that he has a peculiar talent of 'finding things'. He doesn't really know what it is he is looking for, he just gets a sense of where he's supposed to go and what he is supposed to do.
