			== Hida Masakazu ==

			The Clan Champion and daimyo of the Hida family, Masakazu is a bear of a man, known for his tremendous capacity for drinking sake. At 45, he should have retired, but he is well-liked and more vigorous than most men half his age. he seldom leaves the Crab lands, and can usually be found either at Kyuden Hida or somewhere along some portion of the Wall.

			== Hida Gojiro ==

			Sometimes called "The Beast", Gojiro is the son and heir of Masakazu, 21 years old. He is ferocious in battle (hence his name), and has led many excursions into the Shadowlands. Given his temper and violent streak, this is probably a good thing. He has not been allowed by his father to attend court since an incident when he was 15. When a Scorpion courtier at Kyuden Doji criticized his kimono, Gojiro almost drowned the man in a koi pond. It took 5 Daidoji bushi to drag him off of his victim. Criticism of Crab kimono styles has not been fashionable in court since then.

			== Hiruma Tsukan ==

			Daimyo of the Hiruma family, Tsukan trained alongside the Hida, and has led even more forays into the Shadowlands than Hida Gijiro. At 26, he is the eldest of 3 brothers, the youngest of whom, Satsu, trained with the Hiruma and is the leader of the Crab Scouts.

			== Kuni Yuriko ==
