			Chairs are almost unheard of. Women and children are welcome, but kids are expected to be quiet unless spoken to and learn from the adults. To the horror of many Promarians women can speak as they like, indeed the Satrapies encourage women to study various subjects, such as philosophy, poetry, history and similar subjects, not theology though unless they belong to one of the rare female only religious orders.
			Female "clergy" is generally viewed with some discomfort and embarrassment by many. Women do no not worship Eliem directly, but through one of his daughters or a number of less clearly defined saint like figures.

			" 'Let the temples of your hearts always shine brighter than those of your hands' ", He quoted piously from one of the Prophet Azir's sermons. A stricture that had originally been intended to turn the listener's focus away from the worldly and to the light within. Unfortunately, many satraps and city magistrates had taken it as an excuse to build ever more lavish temples to show how great their devotion truly was. His own rather austere sect had been founded in part as a reaction to that.
