This page was Wiki'd in response to [[http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=244732 this thread]], which called for a central place where people could come up to speed on current theory discussion on RPG.Net.

=== A note on standards ===

The moment I took on the challenge of making a Wiki that post links to the "important" theory threads, I became responsible for judging which theory threads were important and which weren't. My standards, at the moment, are whether the darn thing is referenced in the original thread.

Long-term, I think a good standard to work with would be the following: To be included here, the thread must (a) address a question that applies to most or all roleplaying, (b) be written in plain english wherever possible. Those are the threads that I think have the most to offer somebody trying to come up to speed on what's being discussed.
