	Bethany is an unwanted, illegitimate daughter of some British bigwig and a mysterious Japanese woman who disappeared right after Bethany was born, a walking talking sordid little secret kept locked up and hidden from the public in a lavishly sprawling but isolated mansion for most of her childhood and adolescence, until one dark and stormy night at the age of twelve she made her daring escape. After some miscellaneous misadventures and predictably wacky hijinks she ended up in the world of international crime and freelance espionage, where she's lived happily ever after. Her one-woman (plus support staff) ~~mercenary~~ intelligence agency thrives.		She ''hates'' her father; nobody knows how she feels about her unseen mother, least of all Bethany herself. Bethany has a bit of a feline streak, in both manner and physique, though it does her no favors. She's whip-thin, flat as a board and just generally sharp-looking. You could mistake her for a skinny, half-feral boy if she didn't deliberately dress to avoid this.
