From what I've read, (granted it was the Drizzt underdark trilogy.) just being born female grants a minor elevation in status to one's brothers. 			:There won't be any gender restriction. While being female places you above males at a similar level of influence, it doesn't change the fact that you haven't got many allies and you're considered a pawn. It really only gives you the ability to treat an entire division of society like dirt, which may not be the best course of action. In fact it puts you in a significantly more dangerous position. There can only be one matron mother you see, so being born a girl makes it more likely that you'll be murdered than your brothers.
