Set in a dystopian future with just hints here and there of a little Amber flair, this is a world of adventure, intrigue and daring space battles, of pirates and bounty hunters, soldiers, spies, traders and traitors. Most of the money in the multiverse comes from Amber Corporation and the Axis of Order, which is an ostensibly benevolent confederation of planets aligned under super-scientist and treasure hunter Eric King. The trouble with Order is that they believe everyone is one of them - whether you want to be or not, which means you're subject to their rules and to their Director's whims. On the other side of the Universe, perhaps equally wealthy but more scattered and difficult to ally with are the elusive Courts of Nebula - floating space colonies rather than actual planets. What they want is so far difficult to say, but it seems to involve thwarting Eric at every turn and laying claim to the oldest and most decrepit rocks in the multiverse. The third major group is the Resistance - those who have desired to remain separate from the advances of either the Axis or the Nebula, but aren't content merely keeping to unoccupied planets and staying quiet, but have chosen to actively attack, steal from and/or undermine both groups.

Character & Player Instructions

Each character is a crew member aboard the mercenary vessel Clytemnestra (or one of the two passengers who were picked up). Positions include: Captain, Pilot, Engineer, Gunner, Medic. These will be first come, first serve so please when you first contact me (and please contact me!) send me just that, and if you will be wanting your character to possess either Pattern or Logrus (these are EXTREMELY rare outside of the Axis and the Nebula, so we'll need to talk about how and what that means to you if you choose to take it).

Characters will be made with 100 points, but I promise to send out a lengthy email as soon as I get a character list with further suggestions, as well as some additional goodies and powers you could choose to buy if you so desire.

"Captain, you ever notice that saying lets take the passengers to the airlock isn't as much fun when we are on the ground?"

She said it would be an easy mission: just a quick in and out, pick up the passengers, deliver them to Nebula-Court 9, grab the credits and get gone. She said that there was no need to worry about it being an Order-occupied planet, because Eric King's attention was elsewhere. She assured you of that fact. She even hinted at a few easy side jobs that could be done on Avalon while you refueled and located the passengers. She made it sound too good to pass up.

She lied. Apparently, Dara's a hell of a good liar. If that's even her name.

Three days after that "routine" mission, you're hidden out in some ugly-ass ruin in the spookiest part of a dying planet, hiding from Order forces, hiding from Court forces and failing entirely to contact anyone in the Resistance who will even admit to knowing Dara, let alone consider helping you. You've got about enough food for two days, about enough ammo for one big fight, your ship has been impounded and you barely even know the people you're about to die beside.

But hey, you've been in worse spots than this.

If only you could remember one.

Setting Set in a dystopian future with just hints here and there of a little Amber flair, this is a world of adventure, intrigue and daring space battles, of pirates and bounty hunters, soldiers, spies, traders and traitors.

Character & Player Instructions Each character is a crew member aboard the mercenary vessel Clytemnestra (or one of the two passengers who were picked up).
