After the Battle of Patternfall and the victory of Amber over the Courts of Chaos the question of the succession was settled by the Unicorn tapping Random to be king.  While in the heat of the moment all the royals, and noble present knelt and rendered their fealty there was reason to feel that in the light of cold reason and cooled passions that the ambitions of the children of Oberon for the throne might rise again. 

To set it clear in the minds of his siblings who was King in Amber, Random required Articles of Submission from his kinsman after returning from Patternfall.

What fallow are some of the Articles that Random received, which were entered into the formal and public record. .
The [[Diners of Amber]] article, which accompanies the Place trumps in King Random's Deck, was Bleys' Article of Submission and much to his dismay took on a life of its own.
